As the first seemed to back up and the second spun around as if preparing to roundhouse kick him Surtrs hand rose slowly to show he meant the duo no harm. "Woah, woah.... I come in peace." He said setting the small orb of fire atop his head before raising both arms so that they could see his hands. His smile was still upon his lips soft and playful. While he did enjoy a good spar his current objective conflicted with that so he would for now at least avoid conflict. His fiery eyes studied the vampire he was about to levitate the bags but it seemed the little dragon had quite the impressive reflexes. She snatched them up quickly before handing them back as if nothing had happened.
She then tried to rationalize everything before inquiring Surtrs name. "Oh right, sorry where are my manners. I am Surtr king of Karst, I actually came to speak with the queen but I overheard your conversation and I love solving puzzles..." He said rubbing the back of his neck as if embarrassed at how he had happened upon them. "I would be happy to help you with your predicament....." He said looking to the Vampire watching her intently. "I'll even let you into my mind momentarily if you like that way you can be sure my intentions are as they say." Surtr said with a bright smile as if willing to put all his chips on the table without hesitation.
"You two are?" He inquired looking between them figuring he should at least get their names before entering into a deal with them. It was quite a interesting turn of events and he hoped his unorthodox entrance would keep the trio from helping one another out. The vampire in particular seemed concerned, rightly so with Surtrs rank and race. Though she was in the presence of the one mage who could care less that she was a vampire. He was merely looking to solve a puzzle and hoped she would let him begin.
...and to the dust we shall return...

┏━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┓ Nerissa Akira ┗━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┛ Thirteen times and it's been lucky for me ▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁۞ It wasn't like she meant to act this way in front of another person, it's just he appeared more mysterious than Mei. Coming out of the bloom and offering a potion sounded shady. It gave her every right to act this way and even more so when she jumped slightly when her new friend grabbed the blood bag. She was grateful for that which could be shown momentarily on her pale face.
She looked at Mei for a few seconds with her idea to ask. It seemed wrong to do so in her position. She decided against it and shook her head out of the resisting desire to speak. Her attention soon enough snapped back to the male. Her eyes studying him and her ears listening to what he had to say. Despite him saying he was the king of the kingdom belonging to the mages.
He gave her permission to look into his mind. It was a clear invitation but she refused to do so. Peeking in someone's mind is like manipulation as she can find out what they know and turn it against them. It's why she hasn't done it to Mei nor her parents. So, his invitation was declined as shown. He did, however made her feel more nervous due to his royal status. It gave him a more intimidating feature.
She backed up some more when hearing about it.
The grip she had on her blood bags started to tighten up after being saved by her friend. She wanted... no, wanted to leave and return home. This was to much for her to handle.▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁ After everything, you still want me to bleed OOC:

A mental finger snap resounded in her head, her mother's memory coming in slightly degraded. She had met this person before, that's where she knew him from. He was the one she was going to take her vampire friend to the mage kingdom for.
However, speaking of said friend, she seemed to be wanting to leave at the moment. Mei didn't know what to do, her standing there between them and moving her head from the man to the woman. Her face held confusion, someone who never got creeped out by anyone's presence couldn't fathom why another person who didn't get out much did. She could guess it was just a lot of attention for someone who didn't receive it often, but there was so much more her thoughts were on.
"Ms. Vampire," Mei said, looking to her new friend, "he's just trying to be nice and help! Hey, mister," she continued, swinging her head back to the man, "don't go anywhere but back up a few paces!" Hoping she had cleared everything up, she stepped closer to the vampire. "Hey miss. If you can't speak you can just nod or shake your head, okay? If I talk to him, will you stay here? He's not gonna make you pay anything, do you still want to talk about your potion? I can punch him if you want me to!" --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Profile

Surtr sighed seeing the unease of the vampire. He couldn't blame her but it disheartened him a bit. He wanted her to feel comfortable. "Ok.... I can leave. Though let me give you the recipe." He said reaching into the sleeves of his robes before pulling out a bit of parchment and a quill. He started writing and rolled it up before setting it on the edge of the fountain taking a few steps back to give her some more space. "That potion will only work for a short time.... If you'd like a more potent version I'm afraid you'll have to come seek me out..." He said giving her a good warning that the potion he had given her the recipe for was diluted and wouldn't last too long.
He turned and was about to walk away when the youngling called out to him. He stopped and looked over his shoulder watching her. She requested he stay but back up so he decided he would humor her. He took a few steps back before facing the two. When she mentioned him punching her he lifted his hands as if to surrender. "I'd prefer that not happen.... I'm just a mage, a hit from a dragon would likely end me." He said playfully with a smile as if referring to his own death was a joking matter.

┏━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┓ Nerissa Akira ┗━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┛ Thirteen times and it's been lucky for me ▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁۞ All her knowledge of the other kingdoms and their kings was not imprinted in Nerissa's mind. The vampire kingdom even so as her family kinda restricted her to this one. It was more for safety, so this is probably why she felt frighten of this particular individual who titled himself as a king. Surely it could be understandable. She prayed that it won't have to be explained.
Questions were directed her way. Mei came close to her with a reassurance of saying she'll defend her. It's probably not what she wanted but the meaning behind it was appreciated. She looked at her with the hint of a nervous tick escalating on her face. She tried to speak but the suggestion to nod or shake her head came first. She even stopped in her tracks moments when the gap between her and the king had widen up some.
She frantically rubbed her freed up hand against her shoulder, looking and studying Surtr. He wrote a note and she observed him placing it on the fountain. She felt a small motive to take it but a part of her said no. He was an unknown and a mage at that. She couldn't recall if vampires or dragons had a mutual understanding with them at all. She remained silent like before and stood there without having to move or shift away from them both.▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁ After everything, you still want me to bleed OOC:

He placed it on the fountain which she immediately went to, picked it up, and started reading. She was reading quite intently though... she had no idea what exactly she was looking at. Mei was trying to further help her new friend become calm, but nothing seemed to be working. She enjoyed the man's company, but she also didn't want to scare away the woman.
"Huh?" she asked as the mage spoke. She blinked a couple times before, realizing she had said she would punch the living daylights out of him. She tried to laugh it off before saying, "But you're a mage! You've gotta have really cool magic that can sustain my punch, right? Don't you know combat, mister King?"
She then looked to the vampire, holding out the potions sheet to her. "It doesn't look like it'll explode. I can take the brunt, if you want! I'm pretty sturdy. My mom knew this guy, I think. Residual memory is still kinda new and wonky, but I think he was nice to her." --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Profile

Angron Thal'kyr Angron was tired of the stuck feeling. He was tired of being stuck in the castle, planning everything for the war and defenses. Armoring up he made his way down to the market place, seeing the people made him smile a little. As he went down he saw Mei Lin, his assigned guard. The irony was not lost on him however. He was a skilled fighter, killing his fair share of enemies. Seeing on the other a well dressed Mage. Making his way over to Mei and giving her a nod. "Hello Mei. Who are you're friends here?" Giving a slight nod to the both of them. "Angron Thal'kyr, pleasure to meet you both." He was trying his best, he did know basic social skills after all.

The vampire was still nervous, very startled and still like a deer frozen in torchlight. Surtr sighed at this realization. He disliked making people uncomfortable and most of all scaring people. It was such a tricky thing to deal with. If he attempted to comfort her he would likely just scare her more, if he left then no progress would be made. How could he possibly make progress? It seemed at least the dragon was on his side attempting to ease the stress but Surtr didn't see it making much progress. "What can I do to show you I mean you no harm?" He inquired looking to the vampire. He hands were still up as if he had surrendered. He was growing a bit weary of this stalemate and hoped that this move would allow some progress to be made. "You declined to look into my mind, I'd offer up my blood but I doubt you would accept that. If there is anything I can do just please say the word. I mean you no harm." He said softly his eyes, posture, all of it conveying a willingness to please. Surtr was extending an olive branch even willing to put his life on the line in a way just to gain an ounce of trust from this vampire. A rather odd thing but Surtr was an unorthodox man so it only made sense.
As Mei laughed before talking Surtr chuckled. "Yes, I'm quite the skilled fighter....I'm sure if you think hard you'll remember that from your mother. Though I did not come here to fight." He said looking to the vampire as he finished those words trying to reassure the woman that he was of no harm. His eyes studied her waiting, though the gaze was soft as if he was worried of scaring her away by looking too intently.
Then another member joined the fray, likely to make matters worse it was unfortunate timing really. It appeared this one knew Mei which mean he had to at least be a guard. Dressed in armor head to toe his voice deepened by the metal it reverberated off of. "Surtr, King of the mages. I've come to meet with the leaders of the dragons. I've heard word a new king has arisen and being freshly crowned myself I found it only fitting." Surtr said dipping his head in the direction of Angron but not moving his gaze from Nerissa watching to see if there was anyway he could ease her nerves.

┏━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┓ Nerissa Akira ┗━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┛ Thirteen times and it's been lucky for me ▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁۞ Neri wished she could feel settled and easy but the pressure of being confronted by multiple individuals was hard. She was kicking herself in the leg for appearing this way. All scared, like a little child. She's tried to confront more people in the past. The store clerk was an easy target for her due to family friend although it doesn't count. Ugh... She wanted to try her hardest but that fragile mind of hers started to cave in on her.
She kicked the back of her heel while the silence was ever so lasting for her. She definitely listened and kept the boundaries between herself and king far. Mei's distance felt fine for a time but that eventually will change over time.
All her focus turned to the piece of paper offered to her. She could see the scribbles of the ingredients. They seemed foreign to her, so getting them would be expensive. It's definitely why she won't accept the offer. She just can't. She was going to shake her head to the king again, despite him trying to appear unimposing and trying to offer his blood. That was not a thing she was destined to try. She couldn't merely bite another individual even with permission. It felt wrong to her. It's why she drinks out of bags of blood. It saves her pressure of doing so.
With yet another individual strolling onto the scene and introducing himself to not just Mei but to her and the king, she jumped back.
"N-no, I can't handle this." She whispered to herself. "I'm sorry." Turning around, she began walking away from the group. Her determination to distance herself from a crowd was more than strong as she now had gotten the motivation to do so.▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁ After everything, you still want me to bleed OOC:

He was trying, really really trying, and the girl couldn't fathom why the vampire was making such a big deal about all of this. She cared about her as Mei would care about anyone she just met, and she didn't want her to leave, but she couldn't keep her to stay either. If the vampire wanted to be alone, she had no choice but to comply with those wishes. Her tongue ran over one of her fangs in thought, trying to figure all this out, before she was interrupted by the mage king again.
"But fighting is fun! Besides, I don't know if the king will like it if a mage is here. They don't really like mages all that much..." She ran her tongue over her fang again. "But the new king might! He'd even allow us to fight in the Sun Ring!"
Just as she finished her words, the hairs on the back of her neck stood at end, as if they were electrocuted, and she stood at attention. Her back was like a board, all five foot one of her, and she turned slowly to her new king. She didn't know if she liked him yet, but he was nice to her and was a warrior. What two things could she ask of more?!
"Hello, Angron! Hey, mister mage-king this is the new king of the Dragonkeep. Oh, mister Angron, this is the mage-king and that over there is my vampire friend I just made. She's really skittish," she whispered, holding her hand to the side of her mouth, regardless if vampires could hear far better than most other races. She waved to her new friend sadly, and wished to go to her, but now that the king was there she had a duty to the crown. Looking back to Surtr the mage, she continued, "He's been looking for you! Well, the queen. Where is the queen anyways?" --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Profile

Angron Thal'kyr The Warrior King of Dragons Angron chuckled and patted Mei's back. "Relax. We're in the den and no war has touched our grounds." He looked to the Mage and nodded. Extending his hand out to the king and giving a slight bow. "Pleasure to meet you King Surtr. Angron Thal'kyr, the Knight of Frost before this appointment." He looked to the vampire girl and gave a nod before answering Mei's own question. "I don't know where she is. I've been in the war room most of the day. Felt cooped up a bit." He smiled under his helmet before thinking of Sun Ring. He had caught the last part of it. "Well no units or knights have scheduled it. It is open for use Mei." After answering what he thought was the earlier statement he turned fully to Surtr. "I may be a King but I am a warrior and will dress as such till peace is finally achieved. Till that day... I will be me." He chuckled a little before giving the Mage King a look over. "But we are honored to have you present, make no mistake on that."

¤ Surtr ¤ Location : Marketplace of Durendal Company : Mei, Nerissa, Angron... Feelings : Intrigued... ...For out of the ground we were taken... for the dust we are...
She apologized and Surtr sighed, this isn't how he wished it to go. Perhaps if it were just the two of them he would have been able to break through but with so many variables and Nerissa introvert nature it seemed like their meeting wasn't meant to be. "If you ever wish to feel the sun, seek me out." He said to her watching her walk away. The offer stood and it would remain open until she took it.
As Mei spoked of dragons not liking mages Surtr nodded. "You're right, dragons don't much like my people. Though I have come to fix that my exuberant friend." He said with a playful smile watching her run her tongue over her fang. It seemed to brighten his eyes and the little ball of fire seemed burn a bit brighter. "Careful Mei, you know what they say what happens about playing with fire." Surtr said whispering the last part in a playful tone as if to dare the youngling to formally take him to duel. Surtr enjoyed a good fight, and this one seemed like she liked to have fun. The king could really let loose especially if the other party was such a lively one.
The King came and both him and Mei addressed Surtr in such a formal way. "Please, Surtr will suffice. Such formalities are not necessary." He said giving the man a good firm handshake. The king was small for a dragon just a few inches taller than Surtr he would likely be considered tiny among their kind. Though for him to hold the rank of King Surtr surmised such a thing didn't hold much water. "A pleasure to meet you Angron Thal'kyr, I have held a myriad of titles before this one. I shan't bore you by listing them." Surtr said repeating the name so that he could be sure to remember it. As the king spoke of where his true desires laid Surtr smiled softly. "I can relate to that, unfortunately I am required to wear such garish attire. A stipulation of being allowed to travel without guards or advisors." Surtr said stating that while he didn't like his cloths it was sacrifice he was willing to make for such freedoms.
"I thank you for allowing me presence in your kingdom. I must say it is refreshing to be so welcomed." Surtr said dipping his head slightly causing the little orb of fire to almost slip. It would turn and look to Mei before giving her a playful wink trying to bring out some joy in the guard. "I have come to mend whatever bridges may have broken between our countries. I seek to return Karst to its true purpose. A country designed to be a hub of knowledge and progression." He said cutting to the chase, this man before him seemed like a straight shooter and Surtr seemed no need to beat around the bush. Just conveying why he was here and what he wanted would allow him the greatest chance of success.
...and to the dust we shall return...
