If you're unsure which subforum the band falls under, feel free to consult the metal archives for a reliable source. If a band is labelled under more than one genre, you may post in either or both subforums.

If you are still unsure of which subforum to post in, post your thread in the "other" subforum and tag a mod, we'll be happy to help move your thread to the correct subforum.
For threads that you feel have gained a good following or inspired good discussion, you may request that the mods sticky it in the respective forum. We may do so upon request and if we believe it meets the requirements; otherwise, we may leave it as is, or transfer an older thread to the "memorable threads" subforum, which works as an archive.
