Abe have never lived in such a prosperous land before, over flowing with greenery, prey, and his favorite: water ponds. Every morning, the lion took a refreshing dip in the water, swimming until his muscles ached and his regal mane was soaked through. Currently he was practicing how long he could hold his breath under the water, often enjoying the beautiful rays of sun that came through the top of the water's surface. Kiwara had taken to being a huntress as a duck would to water, having had to feed herself in the wild - being a provider for a pride wasn't that much more different other than having to target bigger prey. She'd just killed a wildebeest earlier and was now scoping out possible new hunting areas, streams, shady areas, ponds-
Speaking of ponds.
Her eyes were caught by the slight golden glint near one and she arched a brow, approaching slowly as she kept her lilac eyes on the pale gold spot sight before noticing it was a lion...a lion...dunking his head in the water?
The lioness blinked owlishly as she circled around to the other side and watched the odd male before clearing her throat.
"Ahem...uhm...are you quite alright there?"

Abe's head just broke the water's surface with a hint of a smile on his maw when he noticed the lioness. Of course we wouldn't have noticed her had she not called attention to herself. A small voice in the back of his head chastised him for being so reckless with his surroundings, but what could he say? He was king of the jungle.
"Hello there!" He called boastfully, floating on his back and kicking his legs in the water. "Care for a swim?" His smile was ear to ear now, happy to have found some company. He noticed her expression and chose to ignore what was either wariness, judgement, or both.
