Oliver was speechless during Mark's odd exit. But he dutifully dropped the minipet back off at the labs, and after a quick detour to dress for civilian mingling, he arrived at the lighthouse. The two minutes early stretched into five, and then fifteen, and when Mark finally arrived it was from a completely different direction than anticipated.

"Is that a donut?" Oliver asked, completely unfazed by the mention of calories. He was guilty of consuming a great deal more than the recommended amount anyway, even now he had enough candy in his pockets to send a kid into a sugar coma. However, he had only been to Tim Hortons once in his life despite being a native Canadian, and baked treats were a novelty compared to his usual fare.
