● PERSERVERING -- She is hard-working and will never stop until she got the job done. Anika has the motivation to do a lot of things and is not tired of being in action in a regular basis. While it does serve her good with her focus in doing one task at a time, it could be a disadvantage as she could be too focused in one thing that she ended up ignoring the others as she not well-versed in multi-tasking.
● UNYIELDING -- A brave individual, she stands firm in what she believes in and thus a resilient person to begin with. Anika doesn't tolerate people who wanted to step on her as well as being ordered around especially if it was something people can deal with themselves. She is very aware that the world isn't fair, so if she could deal with then people should as well.
● CALCULATING -- She is quite a good planner and organizer herself, Anika believes that when you plan beforehand, it should do good and well for others. A really smart person, she found herself liking anything that challenges her minds such as puzzles and investigations. She also believes that logic should go first than emotions, which is lead her well while at the same time it leads her into brushing off her emotions as well as others.
● SOCIABLE -- It's actually pretty easy for her to make friends, having good charisma and the fact that she's quite extroverted. She really blends well with people and doesn't mind whether she sticks out or not, since what matters was that she was just being her. Anika was most likely to be the first person to engage in conversations, as she was versed in taking the action.
● SELF-SERVING -- Being raised to please, Anika chose not to be what she used to be and therefore she thinks about herself first than others. She doesn't please anyone unless it was really necessary, whether out of civility and professionalism. Anika doesn't believe that people should always please people and instead take care of themselves first. While this served her well, being what she is and being herself for the most part, it left her a bit insensitive to anybody who was affected by her actions. ● CHILDHOOD -- Anika was born to a muggleborn cursebreaker and a muggle doctor. Her mother Christina met her father Albert when she was on-duty in Poland, and people would say that it was love at first sight. They still communicated with each other even if Christina was living in England, while Albert lived at his hometown in Germany getting to finish college to be a doctor. They found out that they had a lot in common and so they dated until the time comes for Albert to propose to Christina when the time was right. Of course, she said yes and then a few years later they get married.
Christina has her struggles in telling her husband about her being a witch until she built in her courage to confess her secret to him in tears. Of course, Albert was in denial at first and was distant to her for a few days or weeks, but his feelings got the best of him and learned to accept the way it was, keeping the whole magic thing to himself as he knew that no other logical person like him would believe him. They eventually settled together in Rugby and Albert worked in a nearby hospital while his wife went to doing her job until they had their first child. However, Christina had a very hard time giving birth to the baby that she eventually died of childbirth, which struck Albert drastically. Even if he wasn't very well-versed in raising a child, he still raised his daughter for his late wife's sake.
Anika grew up being a smart and well-mannered child, at least the relatives would always tell her. Eventually, at age five, her father remarried to a lawyer named Kaelyn Hofmann. Her stepmother means well, but she could be a bit strict on Anika on what path she should take in a daily basis, even wanted her to be a doctor or an attorney instead of a police like Anika dreamed of. Her stepdaughter was not one to complain, though, as she thought that maybe it was for the best. She grew up with a nanny and went to a boarding school as well due to her parents being busy on their jobs, another thing she was perfectly fine about because who was she to complain? She supposed they were just working hard for the family's sake so she supposed there's no point complaining about it.
Anyway, her magic kicked in when she was seven years old, and boarding schools didn't really help her that much. Because of it, some of her classmates became scared that they might get bad luck or worse. Sometimes, any bad happenings were blamed on her until it came to the time that her parents were called at age eight. Her stepmother scolded her like always, but her father tried to understand what happened. Thinking that it must be because his daughter inherited his late-wife's magic, Albert finally sought help to Christina's parents and there Anika stayed with them as she grew closer to them.
Finally, a Hogwarts Governor came when she was eleven and was able to explain the concept of magic to her parents. Albert had it easy, but Kaelyn did not while she decided to reluctantly accept that her stepdaughter wasn't going to be like her. Anika thought that the school in Scotland will give her an opportunity to discover and learn more, probably win more friends than people who were afraid of her.
● SCHOOL LIFE -- Her first year was a Ravenclaw had a rough start, but she was able to make it up from it by burying herself with books in the library. Eventually, little by little, she made some friends and Anika was able to discover more in a different perspective. The more years pass by, the more she could tell that her mother was just really a jerk for telling her what she shouldn't do as well as the fact that she didn't like her for being a witch. Other than that, she excelled really good grades and Anika even decided to go with her own path and be part of the Law Enforcement someday, which was something her parents did not approve and something she didn't care (But of course, Albert decided to just accept it again).
● POST-GRADUATION -- After she graduated from Hogwarts, she straight out decided to get an application of being an Auror and trained hard for it. At age twenty, she became an auror and loved her job as one, using her wit efficiently and being ambitious as she was working on her dream job. Eventually, she met a foreigner of a journalist by the name of Rubin Eide when he was visiting in the Department to interview someone. They do talk here and there sometimes, until one of her workmates who happened to be his brother Matteo finally decided to set them up on a date saying that 'it might solve all her cliche crushing on his god-forsaken adoptive brother'. Thankfully, Rubin had feeling for her so they decided to go steady and then eventually they married.
Because her husband Rubin was hesitant on having a baby, they decided to go for adoption and there Anika found their first kid named Drew. She decided to work on her job for the family until they kinda did the thing, she was pregnant. At least, Anika decided to let it slide since she thought that it was just going to be one kid but didn't really expect it to be twins, but she again didn't complain.
As some years come by, she starting to get more involved in her work that she always came in home late, made excused about why she should go, and didn't seem to compromise to the point that Rubin saw it unfair no matter how he tried to make it up for it. But then, that was because her husband has an auror for a father and he always made time for a big family. However, Anika's reasoned that since she came out fine even if her parents were busy on jobs, she supposed that they could as well. Eventually, they sparked an argument that they ended up filing a divorce, but with joint custody upon Rubin's request. Anika was surprisingly able to move on better than Rubin ever had, but the divorce actually affected him more than hers.
Well, the joint custody started well for a while, until she promised that she'll go in a family hangout for Drew and eventually broke it, telling him that they should postpone. Rubin became deeply upset at this and called her out that she places more importance on the job than the people, while Anika on the other hand called him out about him keeping the truth of their divorce away from the kids. Little did they know that their daughter was actually eavesdropping that she threw a fit with her first accidental magic. This led to another pitfall to Rubin and Anika stayed away from the trouble after what happened, even if it meant resentment from Drew about her being an absentee mother.
