Although fútbol was her favorite sport and activity to keep fit it wasn't all that fun to play by yourself. She had been in the school for two months now and yet Abagail hadn't found anyone to play sports with her. It had made her sad, if she was being honest, but there was nothing she could do about it. Hopefully eventually she would see someone else with a fútbol ball or a jersey and they would be able to play together. However she didn't know when that would be, how long that would take, so to make sure when that day came she would be in shape she spent a lot of time in the school gym. Sometimes she did laps but most of the time she was either working with weights, running on a treadmill or riding the immobile bicycle. Today it was treadmill day, but she had already been there for a while and was getting kind of bored. Looking around she wondered if there was around around that would be willing to talk to her, even if that meant leaving the gym. She had been there long enough already so she didn't mean leaving.

Julio normally made any excuse not to go into the school gym. The people didn't bother him, but the atmosphere did. There was the pressure of everyone's eyes to overperform, and to do what? Pick things up and put them back down? It was completely unrewarding in Julio's eyes. If he was going to put the effort in to work out he better at least get a good view out of it. But Julio needed a ball for his most recent scheme, and this was the place to go to rent one. So he strolled up to the counter, showed his ID (after a good moment of digging for it), and asked to rent one. "A soccer ball, if you have one," Julio asked. It was the lightest for its size and therefore the least deadly should something go awry. The person behind the counter moved towards the back to fulfill Julio's request. While he waited for them to return with the ball, Julio was left to his own thoughts. Putting his earbuds in, he turned his CD player back on, and then buried the device back into his pockets. He gave a cursory glance at the gym-goers, waving at anyone that made eye contact. Once he had his soccer ball, he made his way for the door, his long legs carrying him fast despite the fact that he was in no rush. a pet dino hope this works! julio's a lazy boy haha

Abagail was getting ready to just give up on human interaction and head to her dorm when she saw the most unusual, most magical, thing she had seen since coming to school. Quickly she hopped off the machine and grabbed her things, almost tripping over her own two feet as she did. Coordinated as she normally was she was overly excited and mistakes were bound to happen. The person was already at the door when she finally caught up to him, slinging her gym bag over her shoulder. She normally liked to shower at the gym before going home but that could wait. Plus she was pretty sure she wasn't so sweaty that she smelled horrible and if he got a fútbol ball then maybe he was down to play? "Hello, my names Abagail. Haven't seen you around here." She said as she went to hold the door out for him. Sure maybe she was acting a little strange, but she really was just excited to finally have someone to play fútbol with. That had to be what he was looking for also, after all what else would he possible be doing with a fútbol ball?

Julio Simmons raised his eyebrows at the girl, who had broken into a near run to hold the door open for him. His surprise quickly melted away, however, and he removed his headphones when he realized the girl was talking to him. "Julio," he introduced himself, nodding as thanks. Two steps and he was through the door, but he turned back to continue his conversation with the girl. "I'm no rat," he explained, with a lazy smile and a soft, smooth voice. That was what they called people who worked out a lot, right? Rats? Aside from that, he was good at fading into the background when he wanted to. And right now, he definitely wanted to. But he'd probably have some sort of infamy by the end of the year, if things worked out like his old schools. "I take it you are?" He asked Abagail, still all smiles. Casually, he pulled his skateboard out of his backpack with his free hand, resting the bottom edge of the board on the toe of his shoe.

Although he did give her a funny look, if only for a second, Abagail took his nod as a good sign. He hadn't run away screaming as she rushed towards the door, so that was a good sign. However his comment at not being a "rat" had her confused. Sure, Abagail spent a lot of time in the summer in America, but there was just some slang terms that she hadn't heard of. His voice and smile made it seem as if he wasn't trying to be insulting, but being called a "rat" didn't seem like something good to her either. After a few seconds of hesitation, where her face most likely conveyed the confusion going on in her mind, if he was being this nice about it then he couldn't be calling her a cheat or anything else negative. They were at the gym, or rather they were in the gym, so it must have something to do with that. "If when you say rat you mean someone who goes to the gym and not something more negative, then yes I'm a rat. I usually just play fútbol when I'm back at home, but since I haven't found anyone to play with yet I'm been just exercising at the gym."Hopefully he would take the bait, it would be much better if he asked her instead of her asking him. He had the ball, he should do the inviting, at least that was how she saw it. She was a little confused by the skateboard though, but she was sure he had a reason for it.
