As we sort through and polish up the current Clans within the guild we would like to give all the players and opportunity to leave their own personal mark on the NFS-verse.

Each player will be allowed up to 3 unique submissions of what they would believe to be an interesting and original custom clan that is deserving of being an addition to our current roster. We will be accepting the 2 most popular and well designed clans into the guild as permanent additions.

Submissions will be closed at New Years, 01/01/2017 - 12:00 am est, and the first round of voting will commence the same day at 12:00 pm est and end 01/05/2017 - 12:00 am est. A second round of voting will be done afterwards from 01/05/2017 - 12:00 pm est to 01/10/2017 - 12:00 am est.

When submitting a clan please follow the provided format and post here once completed. You will be expected to have a name of your Clan, a background story/history for your clan, a description of the clan's Kekkei Genkai. How you organize your information is ultimately at your discretion but it is preferred you use the format provided.

If your clan is 1 of the 2 clans selected, I will personally work with you and your submission to design the system that will be the backbone of your clan.

Note: Remember to be original, Kekkai Genkai that are essentially a new versions of clans that currently exist but with a minor twist or change will not be accepted(IE- Sharingan clones, etc). Also, while not prohibited, Clan stories that are highly unrealistic, overly dramatic or essentially sob stories will be frowned upon. Thriving/Growing clans are more welcomed then dying/destroyed clans.

Defining features of the members of the Orasakai Clan include silver-grey hair, clear blue eyes and a pigmentation discoloring on their torso that appears as a black circle. It is generally found around the shoulder blades or the neck however it can occur anywhere on the torso and is generally 2 inches in diameter but there are cases where it is much larger. The vast majority of the clan has both the defining hair and eye color, but there are cases in which they don't have those characteristics, however there is no case in which the pigmentation discoloring on the back does not occur.

Born with a thin, disk like organ that develops under the skin. It's exact location varies from subject to subject but tends to be found between the shoulder blades. Extra arteries and veins form from this organ and attach to the brain, heart, lungs and stomach.

This organ functions as a site of chakra absorption and storage, pulling small amounts of chakra from the rest of the body it stores it within itself. Through research it has been discovered that the chakra there undergoes a process similar to cell division and can slowly replicate itself before being redistributed to the rest of the body. It is assumed that this is the primary cause to why subjects retain a youth appearance despite being elderly as well as their aversion to most common illnesses.

However, severe damage to this organ has shown to have quite dramatic effects on the subject. While the organ itself has shown to be very resilient and even capable of self repairing over a long enough duration of time, but should the damage become so extensive that it can not repair itself or reparation will be over a large enough time, the organ itself can become malignant. Acting almost like a cancerous tumor, it will attempt to draw dangerous amounts of chakra from the rest of the body in an attempt to repair itself. This has shown to lead to small medical conditions like ulcers and difficulty breathing to the more fatal, such as heart failure and strokes.

In scenarios where the subject had developed the ability to control and manipulate chakra it had been documented that they were capable of manually drawing chakra from the organ. This seemed to have a steroid-esque effect on the subject allowing them to exemplify higher stimulation response time and increased neurological functions. In advanced cases subjects showed the ability to visibly pull chakra from the organ and manipulate it as if it was physical matter.

Irikura

Quote:
Background

Native to Earth Country, the Irikura Clan have always been stone masons and metal smiths. They were among the first people to discover the art of forging metal into tools and weapons which boosted their status during times of war in the past, even going to aid in battles themselves. However as things got peaceful the clan's prestige declined and they returned to their roots, making tools of exceptional quality.

The Irikura Clan was also said to be the first to mine the alloy that former Tsuchikage Sentai Hyuuga was able to manipulate for his secret metal style jutsu. Though they themselves were unable to manipulate the rare metal, the Irikuras still used it to forge their high quality "Soul-bound Tools". As of late there have been individuals extracting the alloy from their land and smuggling it out of the country, placing them under suspicion of treason against the Earth Country.

Quote:
Kekkai Genkei

All members of the Irikura Clan are born with a grayish, volatile chakra. If it remains within the body for too long, the clan member would die within 10 years because of the adverse effects it has on its owners biological functions. However it was discovered that the chakra is attracted to metals, so at birth the child is placed near alloy for it to be siphoned. After the alloy is imbued with chakra, a metal smith examines the alloy and forges it into different tools depending on the quality of the ore and chakra, as well as the strengths of the family the child was born into. High quality ore gets forged into weapons that can manifest the user's chakra at will. This can be done as well with simple "Soul-bound tools", but to a lesser extent. These tools and weapons must remain near their original owners. It is the only way they will be able to access their chakra for techniques. since all of their native chakra reserves are in their tools/weapons. Being separated from their tools for too long will cause the Irikura it belonged to to grow sick and eventually die.

Kasai

Quote:
Background

The Kasai clan have always been rather reclusive. They tend to hide in cave systems and other naturally occurring structures. The main branch of this clan is located in Lightning country. They are coveted as warriors for their natural ability to produce intense flames from their mouth. as well as the thick scales that grow on their skin. Often they are referred to as the Dragon clan, as they have lizard like traits.

Quote:
Kekkai Genkei

The Kasai clan have highly durable scales, and a hardy physique. The scales are capable of withstanding incredible physical punishment, from anything from heat to brute force. They also have an innate affinity for fire based jutsu, and some say their flames are hot enough to melt through stone The flames are achieved by creating a secretion within the body that vaporizes into an aerosol and is then exhaled from the mouth and ignited with a spark.

Hiyato

Quote:
Background

The hiyato clan are the legitimate taijutsu practitioners of wind country, they are often found participating in martial tournaments throughout the region, even venturing into other countries to showcase their uniquely trained martial arts. The clans history in taijutsu is extensive however the origins of their prowess stems back to the family's founding father, Hizeki Hiyato it is rumored he attained enlightenment whiles training in a long forgotten mountain temple, there his bloodline was bestowed the secrets of martial form and a 'perfect' body. however they truly gained their physical prowess is uncertain; this much is true however, anyone fighting hand to hand with a Hiyato clan member will be hard pressed in a victory as their already sturdy demeanor is compounded through their secret training regiments. When a clan member reaches their twilight years it is never their body that fails and always their mind. Many say it is the curse that was granted with the gift of a perfect body; Hiyato clan members often fall into some kind of insanity at some point in their life with no real stressors to speak of. While the clan is martially prestigious many of the clan end up in anbu bingo books in their later careers.

Quote:
Kekkai Genkei

Hiyato clan members are 'perfect' in body in that they heal quickly from fatigue and even wounds. They also seem to be far more agile and resilient than the average shinobi being able to evade and even deflect extreme attacks be they taijutsu or ninjutsu. Hiyato member's greatest flaw would be their mental stability, easily susceptible to genjutsu and mental illness, most elder members of the clan have some form of dementia or memory loss. it is often said a hiyato clan will be plagued with voices questioning their reasoning and this is the cause of their eventual madness.

"Ningeki"

Quote:
Background

Originating from an old man whom was known to be a great puppeteer in the wind country, spawned his final creation that would be passed on to the students trained under him. The Ningeki clan was created during the last great ninja war, transforming some of the wind countries biggest foes into allies through means of reanimation. These reanimated 'puppets' were created for the purpose of war, whether using once brethren as spies to backstab the enemy, or using massive beasts to crush your foes.

The originator of this clan is known as Tamashi Sumi, who lives within the village hidden in the sand actively teaching select young and aspiring puppeteers in his craft.

Quote:
Kekkai Genkei

Although both strange and slightly grotesque, the Ningeki clan takes the art of puppetry to the next level by turning not only themselves into puppets, but other people and beasts into puppets as well. Like normal puppets, within the body lie hidden weaponry and gadgets waiting to catch their victim by surprise. Unlike normal puppets, these do not need to be connected and controlled through chakra wires although they do sap the chakra of the puppeteer like normal. Upon these puppets are placed a 'seal of life' which effectively reanimates the corpse with it's own thoughts and makes it's own actions, while under the control of the person whom created it.

Thought I might as well throw up that Elemental clan idea I mention into the mix, I know it would replace a few different clans but also opens from neat options for future characters. The other option would be to make it a perk, or both.

Quote:
"Yōso Yūgō"

Quote:
Background

"Not so much a clan itself, but rather a name for a phenomenon that lead to a number of clans to being formed, the elemental fusion ability which stands at the core of a number of Kekkai Genkei With each fusion possibility created by the unique nature of the chakra of the person or people that make up the clan and its members, resulting in a different Kekkai Genkei, but the basic foundation of the clans abilities is fusing multiple different chakra elements together to form a new one."

Quote:
Kekkai Genkei

"The ability is different for each person due to the nature of their or their clans chakra typing, each person by the nature of chakra have a element that their chakra is aligned toward naturally, and a second chakra nature they are able to use with ease, unlike normal people who need to train in order to use other chakra natures.

But the true strength is created by it's ability is the ability to combine they two natural element together to form another third element.

Some examples
Lightning and Water create Ranton(Storm).
Water and Wind to form Hyoton(Ice).
Wind and Fire to make Shakuton(Scorch).
Fire and Earth together are Youton/Bakuton(Lava/Explosion).
Earth and Lightning fuse for Jiton(Magnet)

This ability gives the person born with it a head start with they training as a ninja, due to the bonus element and unique fusion element."

Quote:
Sai: I'm sorry but all of this already exists, as well as 2 more elemental Releases that are currently available as perks. Also, we are creating a new system to revamp all of these elemental Releases in the guild.

Play: All good I really just wanted an easy way to get the other fusion elements, with a new character, or at least for them all to be treated the same way rather then 3, 2 of which being part of one clan, being clan based and the others being perks.

Yomi

Quote:
Background

The Yomi clan served in the land of Iron for generations, and were a very prominent family for their ritual services that they offered. A clan able to communicate with the souls of any living things--and able to bring peace to them, allowing their lingering spirits to pass on to the other side. They often, in the past, served as shamans or priests in a way, who would walk through battlefields and bless the souls of those who had fallen, and keep their negative energies from manifesting into evil spirits from the hate some died with in their hearts.

The Clan was very prominent and very respected, but the lords of the land of Iron were offended by them when they continued to service their enemies as well as their allies. They would bless and care for the souls of all things, not only those of their own lands. This caused the first downfall of their people, as they refused to follow the order to stop their duties to their enemies. After the clan fell from grace, Hagon Yomi, an incredibly talented member of the clan, capable of doing something most could not--absorbing the souls of the dead and placing them into the bodies of corpses, allowing him to control the dead, and creating an army that did not flinch beneath wounds or rent limbs. They fell over the land of Iron without mercy. They could not fight against them, as the only way to stop the undead was to remove the trapped souls Hagon was controlling.

The Yomi fought against their own, tooth and nail, and eventually, they were able to subdue the revolt that Hagon had began, though it left their clan weak, and few of number. The clan members who did not die, were slaughtered by the Iron leaders, to prevent anther catastrophic event, like the one that Hagon had caused. Tam Yomi, Haikyo Yomi's mother, and Gunda Yomi, his father, escaped to the land of the Rain, where they hid, as peasants, who performed healing and ritual rites for the old, troubled souls of that land. They kept their past secret, to avoid the genocide that followed their clan. It is said that more families may have escaped the Iron's wrath, but Haikyo's Mother and Father are widely considered to be the current heads of the clan, though they have not assumed the title, as to avoid any sort of spotlight on their family, until they are strong enough to avoid annihilation.

Quote:
Kekkai Genkei

The Yomi clan has the innate ability to speak to the soul--allowing them to communicate with many different life forms than any other person would be able to do so with. Trees, animals, and the dead are all things that the Yomi are capable of tapping into in order to commune with. The Yomi clan members are also tireless fighters, able to tap into an entirely different source of energy for their abilities. Though they still utilize chakra, they mix Soul Energy into the chakra to bolster it and to utilize less than the normal person would need to. Many ninja are unfamiliar with this energy as well, making it difficult for many of their enemies to deal with the substance that the jutsu are formed from. This is one of their largest assets.

"Ketsueki"

Quote:
Background

Long ago, there was a lone Shinobi known for using chakra-infused blood to assault his enemies. But as with all Shinobi known for anything, their name fell into legend, and then the legends themselves fell into obscurity. One hundred years ago, the legend resurfaced after a group of nine rogue shinobi uncovered a series of scrolls detailing his story.

One of the rogue shinobi was particularly ambitious and started experimenting with manipulating blood with chakra, but the manipulations were weak and not powerful enough to even be considered combat-applicable jutsu. In desperation, the shinobi turned from training to learn the techniques to medical enhancements. Using a stock of blood creation pills, the shinobi drained an amount of blood from his body equal to the amount his body could actually hold, then infused pure chakra into the pool he had gathered, then had it reinserted into his body by simultaneously draining his current blood out and transfusing the altered blood in.

The experiment was successful and the shinobi used his new found power to defeat several enemies who had been plaguing the takeover of their territory. Many of the other rogue shinobi envied this power, the power to manipulate your own blood with chakra, and attempted the same transfusion. There was overall success, with only two of the group succumbing to death via blood loss. In celebration, the men in the group went to a local tavern and found themselves each a woman to share a bed with, unintentionally getting five of the seven women pregnant. These women, upon showing signs of pregnancy, were kidnapped by the rogue shinobi and held captive until the children were born.

Shortly after the birthing of their children, all seven of the rogue shinobi became fatally ill. It turned out that while the infusion was successful, it created a mutation in the genetic coding of the blood. This mutation caused severe hypoxemia, a condition that restricts oxygen absorption into the circulatory system, to develop and each of the rogues succumbed to heart failure before any symptoms could even be diagnosed. This condition was born due to the method used to recreate the legendary abilities not being accurate to how the original shinobi developed these techniques, due in large part to the exact measures not having been recorded.

Free of their captors, the women returned to their small village in Tea Country, where they feared that their children would succumb to the same deaths, but of the five children, only one died. The rest, who were born with the mutation, were able to adapt to the hypoxemia. Instead of the condition evolving to it's more severe stages, through both medical treatment and genetic superiority, the mutation was suppressed to the point where the children only suffered from quickly becoming short of breath after doing the most simplest of activities such as playing, exercising, etc.

The three boys and one girl grew up to become shinobi, all discovering and using their control over their blood infused chakra to advance their careers quickly. But one day, a group of powerful shinobi, who had been planning a coup, attempted to recruit the children in order to strengthen their assault. Only one of the boys agreed, and the rest were chased out of the village under threat of immediate death.

The trio of members traveled for years until one of the boys and the girl were finally ready to settle into another village, but the other boy was not ready. They parted ways and the boy and the girl found themselves becoming members of the Village Hidden in the Rain where they started a family and created a clan that they named 'Ketsueki' after their unique ability.

Several years passed and several more children were born, evolving to adapt to the condition until there was a generation that did not need medical treatment to survive the hypoxemia. These children branched out until there was a presence of the clan in several villages, though much like the Hyuuga, they keep to themselves just enough to protect the secrets of their clan.

"Notable Members"

Uchiha Jin, the shinobi of legend

Ketsueki Kenji, the rogue shinobi who recreated Jin's abilities

Ketsueki Hana, the girl who settled into Rain Village

Ketsueki Yoshi, the boy who settled into Rain Village

Quote:
Kekkai Genkei

"The members of the Ketsueki clan were born with the innate ability to control their own blood. This allows them to manipulate it in any way they see fit, be it creating a piercing weapon, creating a shield, or lashing out with it like a whip. Only known by the most senior of members, they can infest this chakra-laden blood into their opponent's bodies to poison or control them."

Toyotama

Quote:
Background

"Long ago, an old folk lore was passed around through campfire gatherings and bed time stories. The folk lore spoke of a time where Dragons were the dominant force on the planet. Dragons roamed the lands and ruled the skies with an unending appetite that was equaled only by their malice. These Dragons ravaged the lands until there was nothing left, but a barren wasteland. It was a struggle for humanity to survive under these conditions, and so a group of humans met in secret and devised a strategy to end the Dragons' reign. With a little wit and a lot of deception, the humans waged war upon the Dragons and stole their wings, leaving them stranded upon the very land that they had ruined. Slowly the Dragons wasted away, but before they died--fevered with hunger, mankind fell upon their weakened forms and began to devour them.

As fate would have it, the dragons would be the ones to have the last laugh as the humans soon learned a terrible secret. The flesh of the felled dragons was highly toxic. All of those who had eaten from a dragon's body suffered in a state caught between life and death, their minds failing weeks before their heart and body finally gave in and they were allowed to rest. However, there cropped up an exceptional few. Those who had only eaten from the hearts of the fallen dragons would live on. The toxins that had driven all the others to madness and an eventual death instead fed these few individuals. In mind, body and soul, these truly unfortunate few grew on the malice of the dragons and lived on to rebuild and usher on the dominance of mankind..."

This story was particularly common among the villages in the Land of Rice Fields. The kind of story that would have young boys day-dreaming of besting dragons and leading the world in their own image. One such fine boy, Ryujin, grew up to become a great Samurai. He traveled out into the Shinobi nations in search of work and to find his calling. He would eventually find himself serving in the Lightning Country as a wealthy Daiyamo and oversaw some of the southern most provinces. Soon after the samurai would accept an important task requested by the King of the Land of Rice Fields. At this time the Land of Rice Fields was a moderately profitable country bustling with life. Ryujin was to guard and protect the only heir--his daughter as her Retainer. She had been sickly from birth. Even the best medical professionals available believed that her time in this world would be short-lived. Her eyes were a luminescent green and her skin pale translucent. Despite all expectations she grew up to be a fair maiden. The King feared the worst and kept her hidden away. Only those of her medical staff and her faithful Retainer Ryujin were permitted to keep her company. After years of each others' company, Ryujin and Princess Toyotama would fall in love. Over the course of a few passionate nights, the samurai impregnated the princess.

Unfortunately for them both, the princess's health was not great enough to withstand the burden of the pregnancy. As her stomach swelled with life, her health would decline rapidly. The King learned of what had happened and in an outrage he demanded Ryujin find a solution before it was too late. Ryujin set out across the lesser country looking for anything that might be of use. All he had to go on were the tales from his childhood and faith. Sitting on the edge of a distant village, Ryujin had nearly given up having exhausted any and all options he knew of. It was there that he would overhear some people mention a mysterious figure on the edge of the dark woods. Ryujin would travel to the dark fringes of the Land of Rice Fields where he found an old run down shack. Outside was an old woman rocking away in a rocking chair. After a brief introduction and polite conversation, the old man inquired why a Samurai of all people would find his way out to her part of the woods. Ryujin explained the circumstances that lead to the princess's pregnancy and decline of health. He had to find a cure soon if he were to save her. The old woman revealed, within her possession, a vial of a strange luminescent Green and Purple liquid. She claimed that it was a cure for the sickly known as "The Dragon's Heart". Ryujin's uncertainties were quelled by his admiration for the bed time tales that spurred him on in life. He took the vial and returned as fast as he could to Princess Toyotama's bedside.

Unbeknownst to anyone at the time, the Princess was a catalyst for great change. The Toyotama family was one of inner development, and through the generations they began to see unexplained changes within themselves. The Princess had been the first major step in a complete evolution of their bloodline, but her body was much too frail to handle the incomplete developments. The samurai poured the contents of the vial into a glass and had the princess sit up as he propped pillows behind her back. She smiled weakly before she began to consume the mysterious liquid. When she had finished, Ryujin took the glass from her. Only moments later she began to thrash about screaming and shouting in pain. She grasped her throat as she coughed hoarsely. Her voice run ragged. Ryujin was terrified as he realized all too suddenly that he'd been tricked. The contents of the vial were toxic.

Unbeknownst to them, the child inside had been a fully realized Toyotama heir, comprised of the Toyotama Bloodline and the healthy strength of a steadfast Samurai. But, it wasn't to last as the toxin began to intermingle with the child as it flowed through her system. Her body could not handle the strain of the changes that this liquid was making within her, but the child was and began to change rapidly.

The Princess would die on that day, giving birth to their child. The child was born with a dark ashen grey skin that seemed to fracture and break in certain areas as if scaled like a lizard. The child was also blessed with his mother's luminescent green eyes that could pierce the darkness, but more than just the child's appearances had changed. In a great depression and regret for his actions, Ryujin returned to the forest where he would slay the elder woman who played upon his fantasies before then committing seppuku and taking his own life to make amends for the atrocities he committed. In his fading heart he hoped that he could once more be with his love.

The child that was never to be born from a girl who was never to have lived to adulthood was taken in and hidden away from the world by the King of the Land of Rice Fields. The child was remarkably intelligent, but without guidance of loving parents he became unusually cruel. At the age of fourteen, he would slay his grandfather, the King, taking the title of his land and power for himself he guided the country to an age of his own envisioning. Using his new position he formed a small army and lashed out at the small provinces surrounding the Land of Rice Fields as he looked to expand his lands. He gained the wealth and fame of conquering the nearby lands, but wasn't satisfied enough. This lead him to enslaving the people of all the lands he had accumulated in his war for personal gain. He ruled as a tyrannical leader and over the age where he would build a giant castle to house himself and bed with many concubines and innocents.

The horrible fame that he accumulated was eventually noticed by the Lightning Country, and in fear of the Toyotama Heir's growing power and malice, they made the decision to set out and deal with him. The war was over before it had even begun. The Lightning Country had amassed a force too large for a few provinces to handle and crushed the Land of Rice Fields in one fell swoop. The King was beheaded and his head mounted upon the castle gate, but unbeknownst to the rest of the world, his bloodline would carry on stronger than ever before. The Land of Rice Fields would become a junction of poverty for bandits and the likes.

The heirs of the Toyotama would be spread far across the countries. Those of the clan finding ways to hide their appearances and blend into society would inevitably stir up rumors of the existence of Dragons. Some stories characterized these dragons to have an unyielding appetite for all that is poisonous.

Quote:
Kekkai Genkei

The Toyotama clan are all born with key features that go beyond their cursed form. These features include the sturdy skin with the appearance of scales in some areas, the green luminescent eyes that pierce the dark, and slightly bigger and much sharper than normal canines (the sharp teeth on the edges of the front top row).

Every member of the Toyotama Bloodline carries a warped/cursed version of it's bloodline's true abilities. Their chakra has been transformed into a corrosive miasma and becomes deadly to all around the user when it's manifested. Because of this deadly miasma coursing through them, the body had to evolve over the generations to properly handle it. Their skin had grown thicker and significantly stronger. It's said that a fully developed clansmen has skin strong enough to rival steel.

While cursed, the Toyotama clan carry a dark ashen grey colored skin, their chakra is a thick corrosive miasma that can be manifested for use, and they're guided by a strong internal sense of malice.

When purified, the Toyotama clan's skin reverts to a bright translucent white, their chakra is restored to one of a warm golden glow that can be manifested to give life into all things, and their minds are completely clear of any prior negative temptations--able to think clearly for themselves.
