He'd signed up mostly in the hopes that he'd get something really good out of the deal -- and his thinking had blithely passed over the fact that he'd have to come up with a gift of his own. A fortunate thing that the internet existed, that he could do the quickest of googles -- that Amazon delivered anywhere in the world, apparently, in just a matter of days.

Craft supplies, he'd decided, were out immediately. He wasn't sure if they fell into the consumables category, but...more importantly, he had no idea what the hell crafting was, aside from the odd pop culture reference to women keeping tacky scrapbooks. Not a hobby he wanted to encourage in any way, shape, or form. He could see the collaged, slightly-shiny, sloppy cover of such a book already. It made him shudder.

Puzzles went in the complete opposite direction. His impression of logic puzzles was seventh grade math class; a teacher who thought it was a treat to pass out sheets of paper with fancy grids and gibberish lines of text on them, encouraging them enthusiastically to have fun as they figured out who had done which jigsaw on which day. No. That was also a line he wasn't willing to pursue.

But tea...that was more promising.

The only problem was the sheer multitude of options at his fingertips. Page after page of teacups, teapots, tea sets; tea infusers, loose tea, tea bags, tea pyramids; tea towels and spoons. Ten minutes turned to fifteen turned to twenty, and then disgust, he closed the computer on Amazon. If he knew jack s**t about the girl in question it would have been easier, but pretty much all he knew were Hestia's notes --

And her God.

The idea struck him all at once, and this time the quick google turned up something more quickly. And it wasn't even that expensive.

Three days and he had a pre-wrapped box complete with anonymous note: held carefully in both hands as he uncomfortably approached the Athena dorm. His eyes skated left and right to take in the unfamiliar decor, to glance over the room numbers in search of the right one and finally, as quietly as he could manage, lean down to set his package on the floor outside of it.

It wasn't very quiet. The contents -- owl-shaped and surprisingly adorable, considering the gifter -- rattled faintly and Asher grumbled as he straightened, swiping at his pants and flicking one more concerned look around the place before he turned to dash.
