A soft sigh left her lips as Kite stared out into the sunset, an open book on her lap. Out of habit, she reached up to adjust her glasses. This was the worst. Homework was the worst. This time, surely, could be better used hunting demons and profiting from it?
Twirling a strand of hair, Kite sighed dramatically again, shut the book, and stood up - and then with all the strength she could muster, she hurled it over the fence.

Perhaps it was unfortunate that Kite's sempai was coming into school rather late and she did not appreciate a book, with her kouhai's name on it, nearly slamming into her face. Her palm was red, indicative of where the book was caught, as it came crashing down lightly on Kite's head with an astonishing speed. Her sleek long black hair flowed behind her, as she bent over Kite's adorably clothed figure.
"Literary club members shouldn't be throwing books." She tried to lecture but the amusement laced in her strict tone was obvious.
She settled on an open space on the table, using the higher surface as her mighty seat, rather than the chair next to Kite. "No glasses obsessed males, fawning over you today darling? Is that why you're bored?"

"Wwwaaaaahhhh!" Kite flinched as the book hit the back of her head, her hands instinctively reaching out to cover the spot.
"That hurt, senpai," she pouted, turning to look at Aisa, sitting up high on the table.
"I was just, uh.. " pausing, Kite reached up to adjust her glasses again. "Overwhelmed with uh, feelings, about the... uh.." sweating a little nervously, Kite glanced towards the window she'd just thrown the book out of, averting Aisa's gaze. "Story," she finished lamely.
Senpai was staring at her with that intense look she always had, and Kite couldn't help but squirm a little in her seat. Had Aisa seen through that admittedly really obvious lie? A hand gripped the hem of her skirt tightly, nervously.
"Th.. that's an unpleasant thing to say.. you're the one that's always harrassing me about my glasses, senpai!"
Grabbing the book from Aisa's hands, Kite fumbled through the dog-eared pages, trying to find where she'd left off reading - but the words on the page all blurred into each other - ugh, it was so hard to concentrate!
