OOC FICTIONAL PIECE OF WORK THIS RP IS BASED OFF: General Office Universe (like the office AU mission sort of :l) TITLE OF FICTIONS: N/A CURRENT PRP SETTING: Just a world set on earth-ish where everyone works for a company somewhere. Very exciting, I know. A conference between two large companies, one of them all tih denizens/horsemen turned workers, the other the hunter equivalent. The long feud is turned dazzlingly dull in a BUSINESS AU. JUST LIKE REAL LIFE.

Meeting people from the contractor companies was always an experience for Zar. There was a certain culture within his home office, an air of haughty and often back-handed politeness which went hand in hand with an innate concern for appearances. It was a tight ship, mainly because Zar himself had made it that way. Barth excelled in other fields than he did, slightly distractible, without the same level of fixation on detail and order and with – he considered – much higher intelligence than him.
W-Tech were a company they contracted for electrical components for the most part and had maintained a close relationship with for years, however from what he’d heard the family business had a much laxer attitude towards pretty much anything. He didn’t like the fact that they were all men, knowing that the CEO had a daughter who wasn’t included in the business. He had opinions about equality of the genders, technically classed as a trans man himself, though he’d never associated any other traits than male with himself. He didn’t like the neighboring company one bit, in addition to everything else, they were a shifty band of misfits. His grandmother however did and in the company right now she was the one ultimately in charge, so he had to put a smiling face on it all, attending the conference with their contractors as if it was the ideal thing he wanted to do with his time. Especially not since in addition to dealing with everything else he was dealing with the early stages of pregnancy.
Barth was being dragged into the whole thing too. This was a reassurance as sharing suffering with him was incidentally one of Zar’s favorite things to do. Barth deserved a little bit of mild discomfort for his smugness, a bit of being cut down to size.

Mik was excited, he’d heard good things about [company], foremost of which was that they were really, really rich and that impressing them could result in big money for his family. If they could secure another contract they’d be on easy street and he’d be able to get a raise and finally afford a car. If he had a car, Malk and him could go and see all sorts of fun things and could even go on a driving tour of Europe if they wanted. For now though they were expected to act as salesmen and examples of the fresh new talent in the company. Luke liked both of them and had more faith in them than he did in his own son. Lawrence was considered no use at all and after the little incident with the finances last time he’d been put in charge of distribution his freedoms had been limited.
His dad wasn’t a great person, and they didn’t really get along at all, but he got along with his brother just fine.
"What do you think the presentations will even be about." he asked, sipping lukewarm water from a cheap plastic cup.

Malkam was never at his most comfortable in a tie, but they were here to impress. He had coffee (also lukewarm), and had been working on getting in the zone this morning. He had read a lot of business, Art of War type books and had taken all of his granda's advice to absolute heart. He was determined to make a good impression.
However, with Mik, he was able to relax some.
"Office safety," he said, "the dangers of slouching. The longterm effects of bad keyboard economics. We're taking our lives into our hands, out here." He grinned and drank a little more coffee. "Maybe with acronyms about teamwork, if we're lucky."

The coffee was terrible and he popped a antacid to help before taking another sip. Even bad gasoline was gasoline when you were relying to be awake, and he reorganized the portfolio under his gloves a few more times before closing the slender, leather case and checking his watch. He had brought along the usual company projections, liabilities, and various accounting estimates that always came up during these meetings and had made sure to bring a fresh, crisp batch of business cards.
He quieted a smile at the idea this would be a simple overview of safety practices that Mik and Mal brought up. If only.
Checking his watch again, he wondered if he should plan ahead and make a reservation for lunch for them.
