Gun PSA: Do you see the chilling signs of the culture war?

So, far too many websites have been reporting a supposed gun PSA [1][2][3], aimed at children and designed to look like a public serve announcement, about seeing the chilling signs of a mass murderer! According to the bizarre PSA (who's saying not to chat to someone you like and instead look out for murderers?) which is weird enough it's own right, you need to look for the signs of a mass murderer! These are, apparently according to the self-proclaimed PSA, if someone is being bullied, socially isolated, watches youtube videos on guns, and tries to learn how guns work. Yeah.

So now that I've calmed down a bit, there's a couple of different reasons as to why this is bullshit. First, there has literally are only a handful of mass shootings by students who were bullied. To start this off in a similar manner, first, the percentage of mass shooters who are under 18 (even according to the people WHO MADE THE PSA) is pretty abysmal, literally it hovers somewhere around5% for all people under 19. Second, only a smaller percentage take places in schools, or 4% (only 5 mass shootings out of 133 took place in a school, according to these people) and, thirdly most of them, such as the Columbine kids, were not bullied, but were bullies themselves. They routinely picked on kids who were different than themselves, and regularly talked about how they wished they were allowed to kill people with impunity. They referred to black students in racial slurs during the killings and harassed people who were crying. They even talked about how they should be allowed to kill people and how they thought it was weird that they weren't. There's maybe 2-3 cases of children shooting up schools that are well documented in recorded history, and few of them were because the victims were bullied.

These people were psychopaths, and sadists. They got off on hurting others, and when mean words didn't do it for them they escalated they violence. Like the hundreds of thousands of rapists in this country, these people don't do it because they were victims, they do it because they want power over other people. When rapists go to prison, they often rape other males, not due to sexual gratification, but to get "power" over other people. People with empathy, morality love and care and compassion, instinctively care about other people. Most people are born with empathy, about 98% of the population, which is the ability to feel other people's emotions and understand how they think. It can be used in game of chess to predict your opponent's moves ahead of time, or to feel bad for someone when they get a paper cut or get their hand stuck in a door and you reflexively cringe on instinct. You feel other's pains, and their emotions, and you know how they think generally as people. What psychopaths and certain autistic people lack, is the ability to do this, or do it well. They have trouble understanding others and their emotions, which means when they see the fear in the eyes of their victims, the pain they're causing or the person crying, they feel nothing, rather than feeling sad. To them, they feel no guilt of killing 1 person or thousand, or a 100 babies. Because their brains are hardwired differently, they often times feel good for hurting others, rather than bad. Bullies get off on hurting people because it makes them feel good. Then, it stands to reason that hurting a lot of people, such as in a mass shooting,

This, first and foremost, is my primary issue with the PSA, beyond all other things. Even according to their own website, these sorts of shootings make up an abysmal percentage of all sorts of shootings, making it an effectively worthless PSA. You're better off telling people to look out for a strange adult male with a gun entering the building with a mean look on his face than telling them to police all the other kids around them, that's number 1. Second, this is only going to make things worse. As if a person who's being bullied doesn't have enough problems, not everyone around him is going to think he's a murderer. Yeah, as if ******** VICTIMS didn't have it bad enough, let's socially ostracize them even more by making everyone think that they're ******** god damn serial killers. People's empathy and morality and compassion DOESN'T GO AWAY BY BEING BULLIED. Victims are not where our focus should lie ,but perpetrators. The columbine shooters were by and large, assholes, who ridiculed and attacked everyone around them. They bullied and hurt people for no reason other than to get their sick kicks, and now you're saying, hey let's not focus on the ******** assholes who shot up a school, let's go and attack the VICTIMS of bullying and assume they're all murderers. It's absolutely disgusts me that this video masquerading as a PSA would tell people to do this. It's almost unbelievable. As if the weird kid didn't have it hard enough, now you want everyone to think he's a murderer too. No, normal caring people don't up and murder a bunch of people one day because they're angry. It takes a psychopath, something someone is born as, and sadism, to want to hurt people as well as not care when you do. To spend the many months it takes to plan an attack like this isn't something you do out of a temporary emotion, it's something you have to think ahead of times months in advance. Normal empathetic caring people don't just up and murder people and snap "all of the sudden" and kill people. It's the ******** bullies we need to be focusing on, since they're the most likely to hurt innoccent people, ******** common sense. But, wait, there's more!


Then they go on to say that watching youtube videos about guns is more likely to make you a murderer. "Can you see the signs of a murderer!" They don't ask the questions, to they torture small animals, bully those around them, show a fake glib nature rather than real concern, are they selfish and narcissistic, do they bed-wet (yes, the same instincts and areas of the brains needed to control empathy and emotions is connected to urination, so often this is a sign that someone lacks these instincts), and dozens of other signs? Do they talk about wanting to kill a bunch of people like the trench-coat mafia kids who made a video about shooting up the school before they did it? Should parents have monitored their websites they were going to see that they were talking on forums about doing it, and how they watched gore-videos of people dying and felt nothing or even laughed? Nope, according to these ******** morons, the only danger indicator was that they watched youtube videos on watching guns and learning how they worked. Wat.

So apparently, a completely otherwise normal kid who is bullied and watches otherwise normal TV shows like mythbusters who shows explosions or action TV shows where people use guns or watches a youtube video on how to carefully handle and use a firearm IS A SIGN OF A MASS MURDERER. Apparently taking a selfie with a toy gun is proof that you're a monster, not if you actually have a desire to hurt other people. No, the real signs of a murderer are pretty ******** obvious, and should be easy for all to see. What you should do is target kids are the bullies themselves, who not only bully people but could escalate the behavior to violence, even extreme violence. Because right, what any normal, decent sane parent would do is recommend the targeting and ostracization of kids who are being bullied even further by making everyone think they may snap and become a murderer at any point in time, rather than go after the bully!?! Right?! That's what a sane person tries to do, bully the bullied victim MORE?! Anyone with even the most basic understand of human empathy and psychology knows that this is bullshit.

Now, why is this the case? It's a culture war. "Is your kid interested in things like guns, that might make them pro-gun or understand how they work? SHUT IT DOWN!" This is a censorship campaign of the highest order, telling kids and parents to be afraid of anyone who watches youtube videos about guns, or plays video games with guns in them. It's about censoring the dissmentation of knowledge that may lead kids to think another way. If kids are informed and educated about guns, they may "turn" over to the dark side and things guns are actually safer than they are being told, and learn to think for themselves! We have to burn all the books that disagree with us to prevent our kids from being "poisoned" by things like "knowledge" and "facts". If a kid likes to watch youtube videos about things blowing up or being shot, he's a person to be shamed, and afeared, and told not to like these things and that he's bad to like these things, just like sex or partying! You're a bad person to give in to your baser instincts, you should be like us and so detached from your own common sense and surroundings that you believe the insane s**t we do! This is a literal attack on youtube videos about peaceful use of guns. This is a literal attack on victims.


This kind of s**t has got to stop. It's blatant that the goal of this ad is to punish victims and shut down communication. You're a crazy person if you like guns! And if your friends watch youtube videos about guns, report them to your school counselors as being literal murderers! Is he weird and socially ostrachized? Does he like guns? He's probably a murderer. FORGET THAT like, out of 50 million kids maybe 4 in the last 10 years have mass shooters. Forget that cars, explosives, fires, poison, and knives and other weapons can kill just as many, if not more people, and that guns aren't the primary issue. This is an information war, nay, a culture war on those who like guns to attack them just for watching youtube videos, and it's pretty ******** deranged. I'm not sure if there's one good thing from this PSA, and it disturbs me a lot. So ED, what do you think? Man I just had to get this off of my chest, even I'm rambling.
