"Oh?" Shadiya rose a brow, "Then I suppose if today goes well and if you feel I'm decent enough company I may have to invite you to my home one day so you can see the little ones...hopefully you'll not be too frightened of them as well."
"Such a true statement. Yet many are quick to judge the things that they do not understand." Shadiya shrugged, "As it is I'm happy to live my life and we have been blessed with love and fortune. I could not ask for more." She passed by a stall of silks and paused to touch the fine material, "So Yael doesn't offer you silks of such colors?" She held up a brilliant blue silk decorated with gold, "I suppose then such things may not be to your tastes while I couldn't imagine a life without them."
At the same time a few children came running through the crowds. Noticing them Shadiya reached over to grab the Yaeli girl's shoulders and move her out of the way, "It seems we're also rather lively on top of our vivid colors." She teased lightly before letting go and taking a step back from Taijana, "Are you alright?"

Taijana squeaked and put her hand up to her mouth. "That's...that's such a big step. Are you sure? What if I'm a ruffian who would hard your babies? I'm not, Gods no, but I am a stranger." Clearing her throat, Taijana took a deep breath, cheeks glowing from a new found flush. "I-I-I mean if you would have me I would be happy to meet them."
She paused by the silk stand, turned his glowing eyes down to look at the fabric. Lightly she ran her finger against it, relishing in it's feel. "It's very soft, which is nice, but the colors are a little bright for me." There was simply too much gold, and the brilliant blue hue would have looked better on Shadiya anyway.
Taijana squeaked once again, though this time out of pure shock when she was pulled away from the stampeding children. She reached up to placed a hand over her heart, holding her breath until they had passed and all at once it came out in a mighty exhale. Laughing a little, she turned to look at Shadiya, "Yes, I'm fine, just a little spooked. Everything is so different here, and it's frightening, but not entirely bad. A nation that can produce kids that feel free enough to smile like that can't be too bad."

It was supposed to have been a teasing remark, but Shadiya found herself touched by the reaction. "I'm told I have a good judge of character." She replied with a small smile, "So I doubted that the girl hiding behind the barrel was a ruffian. Perhaps then if we survive this market trip then we can meet up again once more or even if you'd like to have dinner tonight or some time.I could teach you some of our dishes even~" Honestly because of her own history she was far more willing to trust this stranger than any Oban.
So no brilliant materials for the other girl. Maybe I'll change her mind eventually. Teased Shadiya lightly to herself before they were distracted by the children, "Ah, it does get a bit exciting doesn't it? I'm sure though with time you'll find that we may not be completely different at times. Yet, no smiling in your land along with no bright cloth either?" Replied Shadiya with a frown, "Sounds as if Yael is a dreary land compared to our colorful array of characters though at one point..." She trailed off with a light sigh, "Oba wasn't always the best of places for outsiders. You're fortunate it was just now that we've discovered your land." Before they would have tried to put them in chains as they had the Matori. It was after all far easier to stand above those they did not understand...and those especially who looked so different from themselves.
"Either way let's finish up shopping, okay?" Shadiya forced a smile, "Our past isn't the best, but I'm forever hoping for a brighter future." She reached out a hand and exchanged coin with a merchant for some dried meats and flattened bread, "Here, some food to last a journey."

"That sounds...really nice." Only if Kieran could come to, of course! She would love to learn how to cook different dishes, and give him something new to eat besides the same bland meals Taijana been cooking for years. Maybe he would even prefer a little spice? And spending time with a few friendly faces sounded like a nice evening.
Taijana laughed a little, "The others smile a lot more than I. I'm just a little...off, I guess." So far she had yet to meet anyone more spooked by their own shadow than herself, and honestly, Tai was grateful for that. She much preferred to see everyone else smiling and having fun; it helped her to calm down a little.
As she dug around for her coin purse, Taijana looked up and gaped. "You didn't-! You didn't have to pay for it! Here, here, take this." She held out her coins, refusing to take the charitable offer.

"Then feel free to visit either tonight or later if you're still in the area." Replied Shadiya with a warm smile, "If you even want to bring your companion that is fine as well." How could she not offer? Despite everything Shadiya felt as if a baby perzi was more harmful than the girl standing next to her. She just hoped that her kindness could go a long way for Taijana.
She raised a playful brow at the response, "Yet I just heard laughter. Seems like you aren't completely unable to smile." Teased Shadiya with a wink before receiving the coin from Taijana, "Oh? I mean it's supposed to be a good welcome to give food to a new friend..." She protested lightly before saving a few coins and handing back others to the girl, "I just wanted to give you a good start before throwing you to the merchants. Next stall you'll have to actually try bartering for what you want."
Grinning Shadiya twisted on her feet before beginning to lead the way once more...
