GENERAL DESCRIPTION Initially intended as a place to send ex-convicts, the Stratos Lunar Colony (a single-city colony) quickly became more upon the discovery of Plutite and Cronite. The Colony prospered, but its underlying criminal associations played a part in turning Stratos into a utopia for the criminal underworld. Supported by illegal trade and corrupt authorities, Stratos has made a name for itself as the most criminally-involved site in the Parallel. The streets are merciless and the people more so, the Stratos-born are known for being rowdy, hedonistic, and largely selfish. Plenty find themselves in the Slums and are too trapped in poverty to leave, while a select few find wealth, largely by shadier means. All can agree that the true masters of the Colony are the ruthless Stratos Syndicate. As of recent years, attempts have been made by the Confederation to gradually replace the police force with incorruptible robots, though the general population is none too pleased. The crooked cops find themselves taking advantage of the situation to get rid of the few who aren’t under the Syndicate’s payroll.
