 Four years ago, two lovers found themselves celebrating their new life. Your life can change any moment, by just changing the direction you choose to follow. For Swiftmane, it changed when she let herself realize how much she loved Alycon. Together they had visited the Autumn Festival with their new found romance, and celebrated all the harvest and Hallow's Eve festivities. They even went in the spooky Twisted Tunnel! Rumor and suspicion, told of weird things the spirit could do to couples that dared to tread through it's dark corridors. You might end up pregnant, and sire kids that looked nothing like your own! A horse with a tentacle mane, or a mare with living hair that had a mind of it's own! All the stories were told to those that dared to enter the Twisted Tunnel. There was truth and fable to the stories, for those that sought to find it. The two had faced many challenges, and were not scared by the tunnel one bit! The thrill of it all excited them, and off through the tunnel they went. The tunnel really didn't scare Swift once inside. It annoyed her more when soquili would jump out at her to try and scare her. Even then, it was still a good time.
Low and behold, a few moons later after the Twisted Tunnel, Swift gave birth to two healthy and beautiful foals. However, the dabble of the spirits from the Twisted Tunnel, was something that Swiftmane didn't really believe. That is superstition, and nonsense. Their children still resembled them enough for her to be in denial. Shivermane did have an entity that had been with her since birth, but Swift still denied the Twisted Tunnel was a result of that. The spirits had blessed her in a special way, that's all. Even if the spirits were a result of any of the traits their kids had, it mattered not to her. She loved them for who they were!
Tonight, the two headed out to visit the Harvest Festival once again. Hallow's Eve was coming soon, and with it it brought the promise of good food, fun games, and high spirits from the locals. Swift and Alcyon made quick work of the games and trying all the pumpkin flavored delectable treats. Swift was never one to take things slow, with the exception of admitting her love for Alcyon. After their tummies were full, Swift wondered if the same Twisted Tunnel was there this year.
Swiftmane curled her tongue and clicked at Alcyon. "Hey. Want to go see if the Twisted Tunnel is here this year?" she said with an enticing grin to the stallion she loved. If the Twisted Tunnel blessed them with more kids, she wouldn't mind. She still didn't fear the touch it could have on the offspring either! Either way, they would still be his, and hers. <3 |
