Syth was so excited when he graduated from the academy, now he would be able to find time to find the love of his life and have kids, it might he hard to juggle taking care of kids with going to university but it was something Syth really wanted. He wanted a life that was bursting with light and happiness. Syth no longer wanted to hide on a mountain with his family, watching life pass him by. At the same time, Syth missed them, that was how he had met Rei. He went out into the dark forest because it made him feel closer to the family he had left behind. Syth was struck dumb by her beauty as he followed her through the forest, trying to get up the nerve to go and talk to her. Syth took a deep breath and picked up some wild flowers and went up to her and said. "Excuse me miss but I was wondering if I could walk with you??" Syth hoped she would say yes, he hoped for a lot more and he hoped he could someday convince her to grant all of his wishes. That had been weeks, and now Syth was back in the dark forest with Rei to ask her another question. He had gotten a pair of stones after he graduated the academy on the off chance he would meet someone he wanted to imbue them with. Now he had the sweet radiant beauty Rei in his life he hoped she would be so kind as to agree to imbue the stones with him. Syth waited by their favorite tree in the dark forest, with another bundle of wildflowers, he had the two stones hidden behind the tree just in case she agreed.

She'd never been one for romance. And yet, every day she felt more and more alive. Meeting with others had led to her feeling a bit more...her. But this, this was something different. Rei hadn't expected one walk to turn into many. One bunch of wildflowers to turn into a collection of them in her room. Questions asked by her family had become nearly unstoppable at this point, and she hardly had the energy to hide what she was doing anymore. With her tail flicking to and fro as she entered the forest, made a beeline to their usual, favorite, meeting tree, Rei found him without really needing to look. It was his aura, she supposed, that helped her find him so quickly. A smile appeared on her face as she approached him. As always, she stood a respectful distance away; a habit she still could not shake, even if she wanted to run up, toss her arms around him and be held tightly. No, she had been conditioned too well for that. "Another...stroll in the...dark?" she queried, tilting her head.

Syth's smile was a flash of white in the darkness that was him and he said softly "Perhaps or we could sit and talk and walk a bit later??." Or not at all tonight, since Syth didn't want to leave the stones undefended if he could convince Rei to imbue the stones with him. "Rei I care about you deeply." Syth said sofly "I was wondering if you would consider talking about doing something important with me.." Syth said going slowly into the topic trying not to scare Rei away.

"Sit...?" Her head tilted to one side as she stared at him in confusion. A creature of habit, it was baffling that they would meet here, and end up not walking at all. Still, she would do as he wished, and promptly sat down next to him, leaning her back against the large tree. At least she felt calm here, especially with Syth around. It was...how could she put it...something about her soul being at peace? "What would...we need to...do?"

Syth nodded, it wasn't what they usually did but he was hoping to get her to agree to something else. He blushed and said "Well we don't have too if you don't want to.. but I was hoping you would grace me with the honor of imbuing stones with me." Syth said then went silent as he waited for her answer.

Her ears shot up. Her ears, normally drooped and barely indicating any emotion whatsoever aside from the very rare twitch, shot straight up as she whipped her head around to stare at him. For a moment, she considered running. But only for a moment. Sei had been trying to impress upon her the importance if following her heart, not thinking about what He would think. Although the thought of Him not being able to say how his children's relationships went was scary enough... Besides...wasn't this month an important one? "....I...don't..." She began, before letting her ears droop again, and replacing them standing up with a smile. "I don't...think I would...be too...opposed to...that..." After all, Shion had been lamenting the fact that he was the youngest, after all.... "I would...love to at...least try."

Syth huggled Rei gently and said "It's alright, we can take things slow and only imbue two stones this time. We can do this together I won't abandon you and this is my first time too so we can learn together."

Slightly shuddering in his arms, Rei curled up close, closing her eyes. So many thoughts invading her head, so many loud voices... "I...trust in...you." She whispered, curling her tail around, seeking his to wrap around in comfort. "My family...will trust in you...as well."

Syth sighed as he held Rei gently in his arms, he didn't have a family to speak of anymore since they would likely never leave their mountain home. So to him Rei and her family and their own family they would build would be what mattered. "Thank you, Rei." Syth whispered softly "Shall we imbue the stones then go for our walk??" Syth figured he could put the stones in his backpack or something to keep them safe.
