![User Image](https://i96.photobucket.com/albums/l189/lysia_nyteblade/Soq/RP banners/New banners/Rp-Pirata_zpsvfpduhen.jpg) The sun had long been set, having fallen past the mountains and shed their last sleepy rays of warmth over the land a few hours ago. Pirata crept through the undergrowth of the trees as carefully as he could, the ball on his front leg dragging as he made his moves. This was the time of year when he seemed more at ease. when the frost had crept in to form on the pumpkins and the yellow moon rose high, even if it wasn't yet full, he knew that there would be the time of bounty swiftly followed by the time of empty stomachs.
Looking around himself, he ignored a few rabbits that scampered off from their bushes at the sight of him. His spaded tail twitched and wrapped around in the air as though it had it's own agenda. he was probing, searching for something to help tide his family over during the time of lean that was yet to come. even if he were what some might deem a "freak" deep down, he had his own kindnesses, not that they reached very far at all outside his family. In fact out side of his family he was every bit the monster people seemed to think he was on first sight. Half of him enjoyed the fear in their eyes, the wide birth that others gave him simply upon looking at him. It was the same look he'd seen every day of his youth from his parents and family.
Deep in thought was he as he walked in the night. Soon the only light in his world of darkness would b up and about, why she ever took to sleeping when he slept was beyond him, but it warmed him to know that the reasoning stemmed from his own nocturnal behaviors. Stopping at a small clearing near a rocky outcrop, he peered further into the darkness as he dwelt upon the actions that had brought them to be a family. His mind was vividly tracing everything from his attempts to push the little filly away as a forgotten and unwanted little colt to chasing the young mare off when he'd thought she'd betrayed him. it seemed almost ages had past, in fact they nearly had. seasons had come and gone and still he marveled at the events that tied the two together. two foals that resembled them both had been a result and though now that they were adults themselves, he still couldn't help but to eel some what guilty from time to time about Etta having to endure her own ridicules because of him. she'd cast herself out from their birth herd in order to stand by his side and walk in the darkness. Even if he hadn't made it easy for her in the long run.
