The Bailey Family...

Logan/////////////////Claire////////////////Emma////////
User ImageUser ImageUser Image
Store Manager//////Mother & Wife/////////Hufflepuff/////

Location: Whitehall Street

Walking down the street with her parents Emma couldn’t be bothered to talk. No one probably wanted to hear about her life anyways. Claire on the other hand spent the entire time going along the side street looking between her husband and daughter, both silent. Sighing the brunette waited till they turned the corner onto Whitehall to speak. “So, Emma how was school?” She asked looking to her daughter for something, anything to start a conversation. “It was good.” Emma answered simply. “You mentioned you had exams next year. How’s studying for that going?” Claire continued to ask as they went down the street. “Yeah, it’s going okay I guess.” She answered.

“What make these exams so important?” It was Logan who spoke up this time. Claire and Emma looked over at him surprised he spoke. “They determine which classes I can continue, which determine what I can do once I graduate.” Emma told her father. “And what do you want to do when you graduate?” He asked her. “I want to play Quidditch professionally.” She answered. “What’s Quidditch?” Logan questioned. Claire on the other hand knew the sport, thanks to her brother and her daughter talking about it. “It’s a sport. I play for my house team right now… though not main string yet.” She told him. “What’s the chances of playing a sport professional?” He questioned her judgmentally. “The same as any other sport I suppose. That’s why I have a backup plan as a referee.” She told him folding her arms.

Claire didn’t want their first outing to start or end with a fight. Glaring at Logan before he could say anything more, she then turned to look at Emma. “Sounds like you have everything figured out. I’m sure you’ll do very well and make the starting team next year.” She said with a smile. “What about your friends, how are they?” She asked her. “They’re good. I made a new friend this year. Cora she’s in my house but a year ahead.” Emma said brightly. That seemed to help cheer her up. Now all Claire needed to do was keep her that way for the rest of the week.

Emma was sadly forced to go to her parents. She begrudgingly didn’t have any excuses this time around. So off she went down the street to her impending doom. Backpack over her shoulders she walked into her parents’ flat and cringed. “Where is mum?” Emma asked her father who was sitting on the couch. “She went out for a bit.” Logan answered his daughter as he turned his attention to her. “Oh…” It was obvious that she wasn’t overly happy about that fact. Though she began heading to her room. “When you’re done putting your stuff in your room I’d like to talk.” He told her. Emma didn’t say anything on the matter and proceeded to head to her room. Putting her stuff next to her bed she thought of every reason why she shouldn’t walk back out into the living room.

Despite all the thoughts telling her this conversation her father wanted was going to end horrible, Emma walked back out into the living room. Walking over to her father she stopped at the couch. “What do you want to talk about?” She asked waiting for the impending doom. “I just wanted to talk. Like how was school? How did your exams go?” Logan began to ask her. “Why… Why do you even care, about any of that?” Emma questioned defensively. “Cause it involves you and your life.” He answered. “You never cared before. You haven’t ever since you threw me out. If you did maybe you’d do what you said you were going to do. Maybe you wouldn’t nitpick at every little thing I say.” Emma momentarily ranted.

“I do care Emma and I haven’t been nitpicking everything you say.” Logan replied trying to keep himself level headed. Course that was hard, they both had quite the emotional imbalance. “Then how do you explain last summer?” Emma asked defensively. Her anger and frustration beginning to get the better of her as the lights began to flicker. “No Emma. I was just being a realist.” He told her. Noting the flickering of the lights a visible look of fear could be seen on his features. Emma picked up on it right away it caused her to snap. “You’re afraid of me. You’re afraid of the fact that I’m a witch. That I can do magic… and you hate me for it!” She shouted. “You’re right, I am afraid but not of you. I don’t do well with things I don’t understand magic is one of them but I have never hated you for it.” Logan tried to explain. “You could have learned about it, mum learned about it, but you didn’t want too.” She retorted.

“I’m like that girl that murdered her whole class at a school dance in some horror film.” Emma added still very frustrated that her own father would look at her like such. By this point tears were welling up in her eyes. “I know that M.” Logan replied a bit on the quiet side. “The way I treated you was wrong… and I’m sorry… I should not have taken it out on you.” By that point he had found his gaze at the table, his look of fear now a look of pain and regret. “The worst part is if you don’t hate me for that then you probably will for like the same sex.” Emma added the tears finally falling from her face. Looking up at his daughter his look of changed to one of surprise and shock. “What…?” Was all he managed to get out as the lights stopped their persistent flickering.

Emma looked at her father taking a few deep breaths. It was evident that her deep breathing had stopped the flickers. “I’m gay.” She answered as if she hadn’t said it simple enough. “When did you find this out?” Logan asked her. “Two years ago… when I was fourteen.” She answered taking a deep breath. “Is there...” Her father went to say before being cut off. “Is there anyone? No. I liked someone but they didn’t like me that way.” She told him seemingly defeated. “I’m sorry M. There are other fish in the sea.” He told her. “I know…” Was all Emma managed to say. “Emma, could we possible start things over?” Logan asked his daughter. “I really do want to make things right with you. If you’d let me.” He added. After a moment Emma gave a light nod before finally sitting down on the couch. She could give him, one more try. After everything they’d admitted to each other perhaps there was still some hope left.

Chloe Clarisse
Former Hufflepuff ~ Healer
Half-blood ~ Single

David Clarisse
Former Gryffindor ~ Auror
Half-blood ~ Werewolf ~ Married to Shayna

User ImageUser Image Location: Family Reunion @ Clarisse Family Cottage

Looking to Shayna David shook his head. “Well if a mother’s intuition is the best then I wouldn’t be surprised if my mother already knows...” He said glancing to his mother. He hoped not because honestly he wasn’t ready for her to know. At least she wasn’t pregnant out of wedlock. That was a positive towards his track record. Of course if his sister found out then he’d probably get the talk of his life despite her having no grounds to talk. Just because she was the oldest, it seemed she thought she was always right. Okay maybe not always.

“Maybe... I guess I probably should.” David admitted. “If not she’s going to drive me mad for the rest of the day.” He muttered before adding. “Wish me luck.” With that David headed off to go talk to his sister. Chloe on the other hand was contemplating what Grace had said. Maybe she was right. “Fine you’re right… I’ll go talk to him.” Chloe finally admitted before getting up. Before the two knew it they had met each other in the middle.

Standing in front of each other, David spoke first. “What’s wrong Chloe? You clearly have something to say to me, so just say it.” He told her. Chloe thought for a moment not knowing how to even start. “Nothing’s wrong… well not exactly… Why did you start avoiding me? Why’d you move out so quickly when you graduated?” She asked cautiously. “Why do you care? That was years ago.” He questioned not understanding the irrelevance. “It’s just been bothering me for a while and I want to know.” Chloe answered. Looking down to the ground for a moment, she wasn’t sure about this. “Chloe… you don’t want to know the reason. Just forget about it.” He told her. “I can’t just forget about it. Please tell me why.” She answered looking back up at him. David met her eyes and for once they looked determined to know. “I can’t…” He said quietly before getting a louder response from his sister. “Why can’t you?” She demanded. “Because, it's better you don't know. You’ll only blame yourself…” He answered her. “How could I possibly blame myself? I don’t even know what caused it!”

At this point Chloe was getting annoyed. She wanted answers and he wasn’t giving them to her. “Chloe… It’s…” David stammered not knowing how to stop her from finding out. He never thought after all this time that she’d be questioning him on it. “Stop making excuses and just tell me why already!” She demanded loudly. “Tell me!” She shouted when her demand was met with silence. “I’m a werewolf…!” David answered right back. “You’re a werewolf… Who did this to you? How did it happen?” Chloe questioned him with a mix of shock and anger. “After the Gryffindor vs. Hufflepuff game my sixth year… when we got into that fight, I… I wandered off… by the time I realized it was too late.” He explained before adding. “I’d rather not say who…”

“Does Shayna? Tell me Shayna knows?” Chloe asked this time more out of guilt. She slowly started to realize why he didn’t want to tell her in the first place. “Yes, Shayna knows… She found out final year…” David answered before his sister went on a guilt trip. “It’s my fault… that’s why you didn’t want to tell me.” She said her eyes beginning to water. “No, Chloe. I didn’t want you to think it was your fault. Going into the forbidden forest was my doing not yours.” He tried to reason with her. However nothing he said was getting through to her. ‘It’s entirely my fault…’ she thought tears welling up in her eyes. “David... I’m so sorry…” She whispered running off leaving David standing there without words. He just hoped no one else heard him shout what he really was… especially his father.

Richard Indigo Devereux
Third Year Gryffindor
Black Sheep of the Family

                                                  Location : Art - Tuesday @ 2:00pm

Today was the day of hell… Why? Because every class Richard didn’t want to take was on a Tuesday. The Gryffindor dragged his feet along the halls as his wizard law let out and art began to start. Taking a seat at the back he downright had no interest in drawing what would most likely become a stick figure. The moment Professor Hawthorne started talking Richard wanted to die even more. ‘No, I’m not curious at all…’ He thought to himself. ‘Because I don’t care about art…’ He continued to think.

Propping his head up with one hand, Richard was barely with her as she went over the daily events for the class. Did he care how her class worked? No. Did he want to be there? Hell no. Did he want to give her his name? No not really, but he would if he had too. “Richard Devereux, Gryffindor… and I didn’t…” Richard said with a sigh. That’s right he had no decision in whether he took the class… only his mother had and he hated her for it.

Lazily Richard took the notes on the Renaissance. ‘Great art and history…’ He thought wanted to knock himself out so he wouldn’t have to endure this torture. When she was done talking about that she mentioned having an actual art lesson. Goodie the torture continues! Richard found his head falling to the desk until finally it was laying there as he scribbled his notes down. Yes, his head was holding his parchment at this point as he wrote. It took great skill to do that.

With talk of light and reflection, Richard wanted it to end. Yes, water was nice but he didn’t see the big deal. It was only water. Then there was framing, the Gryffindor honestly didn’t think anything could make light and reflection sound any better. Finally the assignment was announced. Richard was none too happy about it. He was not an artist. ‘Draw whatever comes to mind…’ He thought. All that was coming to mind was how much he didn’t want to be in class. Well he’d have to try right? Reluctantly Richard thought of something anything to draw even if it was a bloody tree… No, a tree was too difficult. Maybe he’d stick to something simpler… like a snake or a lion…

As Richard began drawing at a rather ‘I don’t care’ rate, his art started looking more like a fifth graders work… or maybe it was a five year old's handy work, either way it wasn’t very good. In the back of his mind however he was already telling himself that he wasn’t about to do the homework that wasn’t required. He’d like to think he got the idea without having to do more unnecessary work. “My art sucks…” Richard muttered under his breath when he realized just how right he was about not having any artistic skill. He was doomed.

There had been a surprise in the cards for what felt like months. Alice had no idea what it meant. When asked about it Jasper told her he didn’t know and shrugged it off. Sure it was probably nothing but the former puff wanted to know what the ‘surprise’ was. She wasn’t even that great of a card reader so for all she knew she got it horribly wrong. She wasn’t pregnant so she knew that wasn’t the surprise. The only reason she pushed it aside for today was that the she and Jasper were going out for dinner.

As excepted Alice was excited for her dinner date with Jasper. It was completely planned by him and she was excited. They never went out. Mainly because being an auror was tiring work. There were no complaints from her about it as Alice was very understanding. Jasper escorted his dinner date to La Petite Fantaisie. He was slightly nervous and only hoped he’d get through the evening without a hitch.

“How was work?” Jasper asked once they were seated and had ordering their meal. “It was good like always. How about you Jazz?” Alice asked curiously. “It alright, you know it keeps me busy.” He replied to her. “I know. You shouldn’t wear yourself out with all those long hours.” She reminded him. Alice swore he was a borderline workaholic. Though, he spent just as much time with her as he did at work so perhaps not. “I know Alice.” He agreed with her. She cared about his well-being just as much as he did hers.

Talking throughout dinner it soon came to dessert. The two split a piece of chocolate banana strawberry cake. About half way through it Jasper set his folk down. “Alice, there’s something I’ve been meaning to ask you.” He told her. Alice looked over at him with a curious look. “What is it?” She asked setting her folk down as well. “For what seems like a long time we have always been together. Nothing would be the same without you and I wouldn’t dare want to change that now.” Jasper went on to tell her. “Jasper, what are you saying…?” She questioned him in mild shock. All those times staring at cards, she thought she was making it up. But no, she wasn’t she was getting a surprise right now and didn’t even know it. “What I’m trying to say is would you do me the honor of being my wife?” Jasper asked getting down on one knee as he pulled out a box with a ring inside. “Oh my god, yes!” There was absolutely no question. She was meant to be with Jasper and he was meant to be with Alice.

After speaking with Sam, Chloe decided not to leave him hanging. If he was to ask her that anticipated question it might be a good idea to know if Enid would be okay with at least the idea of her getting married. It took a few weeks before the former Hufflepuff figured out how she was even going to go about asking.

Enid had just finished getting into her pajamas and brushing her teeth before coming to sit down on the couch. Her mom had said she would give her pigtails after she was done, not that she needed help with them. However, she had to give her something every once in a while. Brushing her daughter’s hair, Chloe took a breath. “Enid, I need to ask your thoughts on something.” She said breaking the silence between them. “What is it?” Enid asked looking up as if trying to look behind her.

“If Sam and I were to get married would you be alright with that?” Chloe asked her voice sounding a little unsure about if she asked the question like she should have. Enid took no time at all to answer her mom’s question with a question of her own. “Did he ask you to marry him?” The brunette shook her head. “No, we were just discussing it.” She answered as she parted the young girl’s hair. “Well… He makes you happy right?” Enid asked sounding pretty sure of the answer. “Yes, I suppose he does.” She answered putting one half in a tail before going onto the other.

“Well if he was to ask you properly and you were to get married, that would make Sam my stepfather and Colten my stepbrother.” Enid surmised as Chloe finished her hair. “So, I’d be alright with that.” She told her looking back. “Colten and I are already good friends.” She added as if knowing where her mom’s thoughts were headed. “You sure…?” Chloe asked. “Yes mum, I’m sure. And I’m sure Colton would be alright with it too.” She assured her.

“Okay sweetie, thanks for the talk. Want me to tuck you in?” Chloe told her with a smile. “You’re welcome mum. That’s okay I’ve got it. Good night.” Enid replied back with a small smile. “Alright, good night. Love you.” She said giving her a kiss on the forehead. “Love you too.” She said before heading off to bed.
