Hi ladies! I'm so glad to be back in the forums.. Anyways, I was wondering if any of you would share your tattoos or what your thoughts are on them! Any experiences, conversations, or ideas that you would like to share too. Of course if you have none, don't like them, or are not sure, still join the conversation!
I just got my 3rd tattoo yesterday and it's my first "big" piece. I'll attach pictures of my tattoos below. [Courtesy Note: Whether you have tattoos or are thinking about getting one, stealing another artist's work is not okay, and having another artist utilize someone else's work without permission is not okay either. If it was not customized by an artist (like my 2nd one), or is a common logo, lyrics etc... just be wise about if it, and make sure it is respecting the original person who got the tattoo, original artist (if there is one), and/or company/organization.]
MY TATTOOS heart #1 Antlers[x] (photo hard to take) #2 Oops![x] (taken day of in spring) #3 Dogwood Flowers[x] (taken today / still healing)
// Basic Background Information // *feel free to ask for more questions for depth*

I like your tattoos. I don't have any myself yet, but I have been thinking about a few. The only one I've decided on is a triforce on the back of my left hand. I'm just looking for the right place to get it at.

That's an awesome first idea! I wanted to get one with my brother on my forearm but he doesn't want one yet. How big are you thinking?

Just big enough to cover the back of my hand. The top point would probably reach my middle knuckle, the right point would be near my thumb, and the left point would be near the edge of the back of my hand on the left side.
That sounds sick! If you get it soon post it back! I'd love to see it.

I have two. My first one that represents my family (3 stars in purple , yellow and blue ) inside a heart. It means the love I have for them. I want it to get it fix which I hope to do eventually, but that area hurts because is the side of my belly where my son spend most of the pregnancy. That side has the most stretch marks, but I want it to look pretty so I need to find a good artist (the one that made my fairy is moving!!!)
And this is my fairy. I LOVE HER! She represents me and my love for fantasy. I love fairies! It was inspired in a little drawing I made but I didn't want my drawing as my tattoo I gave it to the artist and she made this. She did an amazing job! I couldn't thank her enough for her art and for putting up with me because... DAMN!!! That hurts! It was suppose to be smaller... WAY smaller but she said that the details would get lost, so it ended like this and on my ribs (it was going ti be more to my back)... And when I go back to the moment I was getting it done all I can remember is all the pain hahahaha. The artist was awesome! She talked to me during it to distract me, when I needed it a break she game them to me... She even showed me the one she has on her ribs and said "I know it hurts, so I understand you" It took three sessions and in one of them she finished very late and we were all hungry. I was waiting for my husband to pick me up when the pizza she ordered arrived and she shared it with me. Even with all the pain, it was a good experience because of her.
Sometimes I think abput getting a small one but then I remember that fairy... Hell no! Hahaha I will endure the needle again only to fix my heart tattoo. I still can't believe I've gotten two tattoos. I'm a coward for pain but a tattoo was something I always wanted.
Edit: The fairy tattoo is like 2 years only so is still like the picture. That was taken when it got finished. It took three sessions because I tapped out xd

Wow those are awesome! Love the context. Thank you so much for sharing!!
Isn't it funny how we just want more tattoos despite being a "coward for pain" like you? hehe! It blows my mind.

I know, right?! When I decided to get the first one done I said "Well, I went through a c-section so I can handle a tattoo. No, not the same thing hahahaha but still pain nevertheless. I was 26 when I got it. When I was 28 I went for my second one. It was a Valentine's gift from my husband. The next tattoo will be his. He want a half sleeve from his shoulder.
this is from The Mortal Instruments book series heart
nothing like a good, thick, black tattoo! I have never heard of those books- are they good? thanks for sharing! <3
sorry i missed this quote
i like them - kinda about half angels (nephilim) - some people like them and some do not - i connected with these books and my tattoo is rune that is for The Voyance rune (clairvoyant rune) is the most basic and permanent rune given to Shadowhunters at a young age, typically placed on the back of the person's dominant hand. This serves to enhance and focus the Sight, giving the wearer extrasensory perception, allowing the Shadowhunter to see contemporary events beyond their sight, past concealment, such as glamour, and, with training and practice, to identify Downworlders on sight.
