Yin was at her wits end, she was sitting in the library and she wanted to cry, she had books on history, math, science, writing, and all sorts of other subjects open all around her and she still didn't know what she wanted to be when she grew up!! It was driving her crazy, what was she going to do!! How was she going to figure this out by herself, Yinzhen put her head in her hands and wailed. She was so freaked out that she hadn't figured out her future as soon as she reached the age of 8 it was driving her up a wall!! She had to figure this out now, even though her mommy had told her it was fine and she would figure out who she was told and then when she grew to a junior she would be president of something!! Just because she would be like 14 then didn't matter one bit. Yin was driven to figure everything out right this second and not a moment later. Yin fluttered her wings in her irritation. accidently phasing in and out.

Sigh. Stuck trying to find books at the library again! Not only was the library boring -- because she couldn't make lots of noise like she liked to do -- but meh! Amity was just not a fan of school work. Scuffing her little feet along as she slalomed her way threw the isles, to which she was beginning to make quiet noises like a plane, the little fluff heard some sort of weird sounds. "What the..." she said to herself. Quickly, the freshling made her way to the end of the isle, peeking her head out to look about like some sort of spy. And wouldn't you know it, she spied a couple other freshlings. One looked distraught and the other seemed to try to be comforting. If only because of the lack of anything interest-catching in the isles -- not that she had paid them much mind -- Amity shuffled on over to the other two. "Hey... The library boring you to tears, too?" she was amused at her own joke.

Aurelia blinked a few times, balked just a bit by the poor girl's outburst. The nixie looked at all the books that were in front of the panicking girl, flipping a few pages and checking the covers. Their subjects seemed to broad for anyone to really pick anything out of them to spark an interest in a career of sorts, so it didn't surprise her that this girl was feeling this way. To what the fae girl had said to her, Aurelia's two-toned eyes glanced upwards in thought; what DID she want to be when she grow up? "Um...Actually, I haven't figured out what I want to be, either. There are just so many cool things!" She spoke in a cheerful tone, trying to help ease the girl's mood."I guess it really comes down to what you think you'd be good at or what kind of skills you have." Aurelia glanced over to see another freshling coming over, asking if the girl was bored as well. "I'm never bored in the library, not when there are so many cool stories to read. But she's trying to decide what she wants to be when she grows up....and..." The nixie chewed slightly on her bottom lip, scuffing her feet in a somewhat sheepish manner. "I'm starting to wonder if I should be thinking about that, too. I mean, we're gonna be juniors before we know it, right?"

Yinzhen calmed down a little hearing the nixie say she didn't know what she wanted to be either. Yinzhen started picking up the library books and putting them back on the shelf with care, she liked things in order. Just like she wanted her life in order, she just happened to want it in order right now rather than later. Which drove Yin a little nutty. Yin nodded and said "Yes junior year seems to be soo far away, yet a moment away. It makes me nervous. I wonder what I should try first to figure this out, I really want to find something I'm passionate about." Yin pouted biting her lip. Yinzhen turned to the other hybrid "Your not worried what if you reach junior or senior year and you don't know what you want to be!!?? How will you figure out your future and dreams?" Yin blushed a little imbarred that Amity thought she was being silly. "Umm well I.. " Yin wasn't sure if she had any suggestion to figuring this out she had been so freaking out. "Maybe if we try different things like she said we'll figure it out." Yin said softly. "I'm Yinzhen by the way."

Amity was seriously just lost in all of the one kid's panic. Thank gods for the calm one! All she could do was laugh and grin. "I'm all for trying to figure out who we are together! I'm amity!... And I'm a girl, kay?" she added in a slightly huffy tone. She got mistaken for a boy a lot! "One of my moms cut my hair super short, so someone always thinks I'm a boy for some stupid reason! Girls can have short hair too, dang it!" and she added in a dramatic fist pump to the sky above the library.

"Errr... Heh" she muttered, embarrassed at her outburst. Well, only slightly embarrassed anyways. "Sorry... I just get sick of people doing that to me. I can't wait for this darn hair to grow out!" then she cocked her head to the side. "You guys are gonna have to let me play with your hair sometime. It looks like it could be fun!

Aurelia smiled at Yin as she agreed with her idea of making lists, tilting her head curiously when the hybrid girl seemed to think about something she could do. "Hey, that's a pretty good idea. We can add that on your list as an idea." She then looked to Amity when she introduced herself, emphasizing that she was a girl despite her short hair. "Yeah! I have short hair, too, and I'm a girl! Short hair can look good on girls!" She could tell Amity was sensitive about being mistaken for a boy but Aurelia was trying to be encouraging that her hair looked nice even if it was short. Then it seemed Amity had come up with an idea for herself and the nixie smiled. "That's a great idea! And it's going to be an idea on your list!"

She went back to the table Yin had been at and found three blank papers and a pencil, writing each of their names on one separate paper. She drew a line down the middle of the papers and put at the top 'Likes' on one side and 'Ideas' on the other. She wrote down 'career counselor' under ideas on Yin's paper and 'hair stylist' under ideas on Amity's. "Ok, lets start thinking of things we like or like to do.....oh, and qualities about ourselves." She smiled up at the other two girls. "Like Yin; it looks like you like things to be organized and like planning ahead. Those could go under 'Likes' as qualities to look for in a career."

Yinzhen blinked when she realized what time it was she was going to be late getting home and might get in trouble with her mommy. Yin gathered her things and said "Nice meeting you two I gotta go." Then Yin rushed off. She had a lot to think about now because of those two. It was a great idea to help others figure out what they wanted to be when she grew up. That way fewer freshlings had to be in the position that Yin had been in freaking out about the future, which Amity was right was silly they were still young, but Yin was who she was and they was a high strung little fey. Rushing from one thing to another, Yin doubted she would change who she was from this one encounter.

Aurelia smiled and giggled happily as Amity praised her idea, making room for her so they could work on their lists. She looked up when Amity mentioned being tenacious, grinning and nodding. "That's a good thing to make a note of. Tenacity helps with a lot of things! It's a great quality!" The nixie smiled brightly and looked at her own list, writing down some of her own qualities and likes. She blinked in confusion when Yin had to go but she waved to her with a smile. "See you later!" She then looked over at Amity, who seemed just as confused as she was for a minute. "I think she might have had to go home. It's getting kind of late." She looked back at the clock for a moment before looking at Amity again. "Sure thing! I like thinking up new ways to do things or help people....I like writing a lot, too, because it helps make the mess of stuff going on in my head a lot easier to think about. And if it takes you a while, that's ok too! You can always do it on your own when you think of things." She looked back when the librarian came over and told them that it was getting about time to head back to the dorms, the nixie nodding. "I think we gotta go but this was fun! When you think of things you think you'd like to do you should tell me, 'cuz I bet they'll be pretty cool." Aurelia giggled and was happy to leave when Amity did, knowing that if nothing else all three of them had an idea of how to figure out their paths in life just a little bit easier.
