It had taken thorough planning over the last few weeks to find the perfect time to steal away the orphaned egg from the ones Andy Eternal and Kylar Gatt. The unbridled rage of the fallen and the unquenched darkness of the shadow. A perfect mix of chaos that would garner excellent little disciples for his future plans. This would fair far better than the rest of the plans laid out so far.
Yellow glowing eyes, slender as they examined the blue and black egg with golden flecks. "It's about time, darling ones." a smooth voice escaped from irridescent pale lips that hissed faintly like a snake even though the articulation of his words were more of the proper noble kind. Ahh, the awaited moment as the egg began to crack and move. Setting it down on the mess of comforters bundled into a fashioned nest, he grinned, waiting for the offspring he so desired to control since the moment he laid eyes on the egg itself, anticipating this very moment since he had successfully stolen away the thing from the watchful eyes of Mirabelle and Nova.
Yes, this was it as the egg shone a bright light, stinging his eyes as he shielded himself with an arm until it faded. Two small children lay on the bed, a boy and a girl.
Tendren's grin only grew, ready to lay into action what was long awaited.

The boy opened tired eyes as he unfurled his small hands from his sister whom he had been holding onto far before their hatching. Moving away slightly, he sat up, bobbled a bit then rubbed his eyes. Looking up at Tendren, he yawned. Staring for a few more moments he looked for more interesting things, rolling away to the edge of the bed and peering down to the floor then shifted to get off the bed, but came to a thud on his rump, a small pained noise before crawling under the bed.

The world was dark, a familiar feeling in the grasp of her tiny hands. The female child hadn't yet opened her eyes. The thing that held her tiny hand suddenly vanished followed by a noise. Something was wrong, the feeling she had always known was gone. Slowly her eyes opened, the light in the room disorienting as she searched for the thing she held. Eyes slowly focusing as Tendren came into view, a large figure with a grin and glowing eyes. The child, startled by the scary man, began to cry.

Tendren watched as one child darted off the bed.. a fast one, so independent.. and the other was left alone to cry. He smirked, "There there, poppet. You're dear brother has gone and made his way to explore..." he spoke calmly, gently scooping up the child into his arms as he rocked her. "Lets see where you've gone.." he muttered as he leaned over to lift up the edge of the bed sheet to see where the boy had gone. "Come out, little one, your sister cries for you and you leave her all alone.."

The boy squinted as the covers at the edge of the bed were lifted and the light of the room attempted to fill his eyes again. How bothersome. He had been so content hiding under the bed where it was dark and quiet.
His sister's cries had filled the room and he crawled back out halfway trying to grab for the girl but missing. A grumpy face setting in as he was forced to move all the way out of the underside of the bed with reluctance. "...stoooooooooooooooooooooooop~..." he whined with a pouting face, not sure where he meant it for Tendren or to his sister.

The crying continued even as Tendren picked up the child trying to comfort her. The sound of another voice brought her pause however, her eyes searching for the source. Spotting the other child she somehow knew who he was. Struggling to get away from Tendren, she wiggled and twisted trying to move beside her brother and take his hand.

Tendren watched their bond with care and intrigue. Just born and still desired the other. His amused grin a wild splendor on his face as he scooped up the boy into his other arm, bringing them closer together before setting them both to the bed.
Tendren moved to retrieve an item from his pocket, a pair of dice. His intention was to give them each one die so they could together become powerful but also easier to control. He held them each to each of the children and smiled encouragingly.

The boy took one look at the item Tendren offered him and he wrinkled his nose. No, this was not the thing he wanted. He already had his desired item set on something else but had lost sight of it when he moved from beneath the bed. He shoved Tendren's hand away and began to look for the other thing he had seen. It was then a thick black spider, the size of a quarter crawled over his shoulder and down his arm. The boy smiled as the spider made its way toward his own hand.
The moment it reached his left hand, he covered it with right hand and brought it to his heart and his whole body shown a bright light before subsiding and the spider was gone. He yawned in content, his mouth now showing sharp fangs and he rubbed his eyes tiredly.

The crying stopped as the brother joined her. His presences was comforting, even with the scary man still so close. She looked up at him again, his face still something to be afraid of, but now he was holding something out for her. It looked like he intended one for the brother, but with him having none of that it simply meant more for her. Two arms reached out quickly taking the die from either hand as she pulled them in close.
Two hands, two points of light. The light grew as she brought her hands together until it became a single bright light. It spread over her body before quickly subsiding, the girl taking not one die, but the pair. Her item not a single die, but dice the plural. Her body didn't appear to undergo any immediate changes, but that was only because her eyes were already red from her fathers side. The iris changed ever so slightly darkening a slight bit to the red from the snake eyes, but hardly noticeable unless you knew to look.
The items now gone and her interest in anything to do with the strange man now passed, she gave Tendren an eat s**t grin before she resumed her grasp on her brother keeping hold of him so that he couldn't disappear again.

A wicked grin spread over Tendren's expression as his immediate amusement over their personalities. The boy was independent, fearless, and quiet. The girl was vocal, dependent on the boy, possibly protective, and greedy.
And it was with that notion that he came up with their names. "Jaser and Scarlet." he spoke softly, pointing to each of them for their respective names. Scooping them up into his arms, he moved into the other room to get them food and something to drink.

Jaser winced as now his sister shined brightly, giving a quiet hiss as he drew away slightly until it was gone. His face overtaken by an expression of annoyance and apathy.
The moment he felt Scarlet wrap her arms around him, he grunted and gave her a look of unamusement. "Scarlet nooooo~" He whined and tried to scoot away from her before seemingly giving up and letting her just keep bugging around him. Still looking fairly unhappy.

Scarlet giggled when Jaser whined and then gave up. She clung to her brothers arm happily until the scary looking man began to pick them up. As Tendren picked them up she began to struggle trying to slip away. Trying to cheer her brother up and distance herself from the large man her grasp on her brother tightened as she leaped from his grasp pulling her brother with her. The two of them hit the bed with a soft bounce before she pulled the covers over themselves hiding poorly from the man and the light.
