Rules

⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯

Gaia ToS
Follow Gaia Terms of Service. If it is stated as wrong in the ToS, it is also wrong within the guild.

⊶ ∘ ⊷

Judges
The Judges are the commanding body of this role play. Much like the player, the crew must abide to the rules so as not to form an unjust rule. Suggestions, corrections and constructive criticism is welcome and very well taken; do not be afraid to come to any of us to ask for help or to help us reconstruct something you think that is lacking anywhere within the role play.

The judging party is composed of 5 Judges, which are separated in 2 types: 2 Head Judges(HJ) and 3 Fight Judges(FJ).

HJs oversee the very aspects of the role play, they do not judge fights unless there is a problem. Every problem is to be brought to them and not with anyone else.

FJs oversee the fights and judge them impartially. They follow a strict ruling and they should only be contacted for information about a clarification about a matter.

⊶ ∘ ⊷

Respect
Please respect each other while, and while not, role playing. Your character can be an a*****e, but that doesn't mean you have to be. Problems with other role players should be solved in a peaceful manner. Do not try to solve the problems with violence, if you find a problem in another role player, either bring it to the staff or solve it between yourselves. Additionally, do not trash talk anyone within the guild.

⊶ ∘ ⊷

God-modding
No one is invincible. God-modding will not be tolerated. Death and failure are part of this role play.

God-modding includes auto-hitting (act of attacking the enemy and not letting them dodge or react to it, no matter the attack), auto-dodging (act of always evading attacks that would be otherwise impossible to dodge), auto-knowing (act of reading a narration, character profile or other threads, thus obtaining knowledge otherwise not available to your character) or auto-obtaining (act of obtaining an item or power without going through the proper procedures of attaining it, not paying for it or by simply stating you own it without proof). God-modders will be dealt with by the Judges.

⊶ ∘ ⊷

Number of Applications
    One application per person.

⊶ ∘ ⊷

RPC Death
People will die upon defeat, unless the winner clearly spares the loser. After the fight has been decided and the winner been declared, we will allow the players to role play the death of the character if they so wish.

Assuming death in your post without waiting for the reaction, and confirmation, from the other player will be considered controlling the other character and is grounds to god modding.

⊶ ∘ ⊷

Realism
Try to stay true to the setting. Always maintain realism when role playing. No magic is allowed.

⊶ ∘ ⊷

Out Of Character
Use "OOC:" or go to the OOC forum if you want to talk out of character. Avoid causing confusion as much as possible. It is also recommended for you to use a small spot in your format for explaining what you are doing.

⊶ ∘ ⊷

Character Creation

⊶ ∘ ⊷

Activity
Please try to be as active as possible. Fights remain active for one week and you must post at least once every two days; delays are possible, if a good reason is given and the Judges accept it.

Judging

⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯⌯

Challenger will face the challenged in a one-on-one fight.
You have three (3) days to show up and post an entrance, after 3 real life days of no show you automatically forfeit the fight.
In cases where both fighters do not show up for the fight after three days they will both lose and give up their spot to whoever they would have fought in their next match.
Ten-Turn Posting Limit & 2 Week Time Limit. The fight ends when both of the fighters have posted 10 times or the time limit of 2 weeks has passed.

∴ ∵ ∴

Victory Conditions: A fighter is knock out, yields to the opponent or, in case of a fight that requires judging, if a player is declared winner by the FJs.
If a fighter does not post for four days during the fight, a message will be given to the waiting participant giving them the go ahead to make a finishing post and will win the match. No Exceptions!
If a fighter does not post after two day and are in danger of being hit, they lose one post and the other player may post over said fighter, unless they have previously notified the FJs. If they haven't and the other play did not post yet, they may post, but will lose 3 Promptness points.

∴ ∵ ∴

Each fighter is restricted to medieval non magical weaponry. You may choose one two handed weapon; a shield and a one handed weapon or a bow (must talk to HJs about this beforehand).
The setting of all battles is a flat land with no obstacles.

∴ ∵ ∴

If a winner has not been decided by the end of the a successful 10 post duel between both participants, or if the 2 week time limit has been reached, a set of three judges -- Gwynme Theos, ___ & ___ -- will make a decision on a winner.
In such cases the judgment will be based on this criteria and the assessment will be based on the following categories:

    Form: 20 Points
    Effectiveness: 10 Points
    Engagement: 20 Points
    Realism: 20 Points
    Clarity: 20 Points
    Spelling & Grammar: 10 Points
    Promptness: -10 Points
