HYDRO MAN
Played By:
sapphire_spider

Spider-Man villain with Hydrokinesis (the ability to control water), often part of teams with vendettas against the wall-crawler.
Morris Bench was a crewman on a cargo ship that was lowering an experimental generator into the ocean, when he was accidentally knocked overboard by Spider-Man. At that moment the generator began to malfunction, and Morris was exposed to unknown energies, seawater, and underwater volcanic gases. After he was rescued, Morris discovered that he could transform any part of his body into water. Morris was furious at what happened to him, and he set out to find those he considered responsible and make them pay...and that included Spider-Man.
One of Morris's most embarrassing defeats was when he merged with Sandman to form a Mud Monster during a bar brawl. This monster was almost unstoppable, until the police managed to use a special gun to defeat it.
After his initial defeat at the hands of Spider-Man, Morris joined many different super-villain teams. Most notably the Sinister Syndicate or the Frightful Four. Despite having immense power, Morrie is not the most intelligent person and as a result is often defeated and is no where near the level of threat that he could be. His most recent appearances involve trying to purchase the Venom symbiote and escaping from the Raft. He then got into a conflict with Spider-Man before being apprehended by War-Machine and Komodo. However, despite this, his most recent appearance has shown that he is a member of the newest incarnation of the Frightful Four.
Powers
Due to the accident that caused him to gain his "hydro" power, he can alter his bodily mass to a more
water-like substance, making him hard to fight, especially near bodies of water. He is also practically indestructible, seeing as how he comes back every time it rains. Usually the easiest way to defeat him is to evaporate him.
Having a water body gave Morris many different abilities. Morris can shoot high powered water blasts which can easily knock over a person. He can also perform a blast from his lower torso which can propel him 50 feet in the air. Also, Hydro-Man can drown someone by keeping their head in water and they victim cannot use their strength to break free (unless they are really strong). Morris can also turn his body as hard as ice so his punches are much more potent. He can also merge with and control water from outside sources, although the larger the amount of water, the harder it is to maintain control. Morris can turn to ice or steam if he concentrates hard enough. Also, Morris claims he has not aged since he gained his powers.
