Mother always told me to write down my thoughts. Honestly, the idea of a diary is quite silly. If anyone were to come across this, then they would be able to read my personal thoughts, feelings, and everything inside my head. And yet, why does it feel so satisfying putting that into paper? And why keep it around? Would it not be better to rid of this paper after writing all your weaknesses on it? I sigh.. The weather is rather nice today. It is cold. Quite cold actually. As I sit in my room and try to fight over this cold, I hope that the snow will be gentle, gentle enough that it will coat the land in white. I hope that someone will visit soon, it can be quite dull sitting in the same old room and reading the same books over and over. Hopefully big brother Herod can visit.. Or maybe Father.. No, they are too busy.
Actually, a diary might not be so bad. I am not quite sure how to continue down this road. Perhaps I will write more as time passes. Maybe one day, when I can go off on my own, this book can be filled with adventures. I cross my fingers for that such a day will come true.

It lacks entries for every single day and year, but within its sparse entries are bits and pieces of whatever is left in his mind.
