- ۩ Chim is a rather withdrawn person who avoids conflict whenever possible. He's kind-hearted and highly empathic and once he's gotten to know someone can tell just from their voice and body language what they're feeling. This can be a double-edged sword pushing people to open up to him even when he really should otherwise leave them be. He's also highly affectionate and craves both emotional and physical attention. This is also a double-edged sword growing up without much context for boundaries he can sometimes push his need for attention on people unwilling to reciprocate his needs.
The side fewer people get to see is his headstrong side. He refuses to change for anyone. He's the type who you accept as he is or he moves onto someone else. This can manifest in a few ways from the way he dresses to how he treats the very few people he has any attachment to. If you're the type who doesn't like boys in dresses he'll tell you outright to piss off. He also has an odd quirk about kissing people on the forehead when he really shouldn't. Though he's learned to not kiss strangers anymore. So instead he hugs them!
It can be hard to get him to open up at first but that's a defense mechanism developed due to the abuse he suffered growing up. Once he feels he can trust someone though he'll be hard-pressed to not break his back to do anything they want. He's often been taken advantage of and been backstabbed a few too many times but won't relent! If a friend needs something, he'll do anything he can for them! This translates into his more personal relationships. While he's never had an actual boyfriend before, those he thought he had a chance with, he was willing to do anything for or with!
To that end, once Chim knows he's found the one, all they need do is give the command and he'll submit to their every whim without much complaint. He has no qualms about meeting their needs or desires regardless of what that may be. Even if he personally doesn't like it. You want him in a maid dress, consider it done! On a leash, ok. On his hands and Knees .. well you get the point. He does have boundaries he won't cross either for moral or social reasons. All he asks in return is to be loved, needed, and valued for what he provides to his significant other. Perhaps he's pushing himself too far, and he knows it, but unless a line has been drawn in the sand, consider him a willing victim.

- ۩ Chim was originally born somewhere within the Grotto region the exact location is unknown. Who his parents were, his exact birthday or even his last name are all unknown as he was abandoned as an infant. Wrapped in a trash bag on the side of the street and left to die. A rough estimate of his age puts him around 19 to 20 but even after an extensive search, his biological parents were never found. (The Truth is his parents were murdered and he was caught in the crossfire.)
As a young child, he was moved from one foster home to another. Growing up, he was more of a paycheck than a child to be loved and cared for by the various foster homes that took him in. He grew despising the system and would run away every chance he got. Abusive and neglectful foster parents were the norm. It only got worse when he eventually came out as Gay resulting in a beating that ended with him tied to a tree and left to starve. After that, he ran away for the last time.
Even the name he goes by isn't actually his. It's an abbreviation for the name he was given by the nurse who cared for him as an infant. Chester Ivy Neathol. A name he quickly abandoned but keeps close to his heart in secret. He uses the pseudonym Chim as the name Chester was the only thing he feels was ever given to him out of affection or caring.
It wasn't until he was sixteen that he become a Trainer and has been traveling with his Nickit. A pokemon he "rescued" from an abusive trainer. Together they've done little in the way of progress but being a Trainer was never really the goal ... until now
