Silence greeted her words. There really was no answer, but the question is quite profound. While Kyran respectfully looked away as she was naked- thought it did take a much longer time than most reactions since he was so absorbed in his twisted thoughts-, Kyran pondered. "As I said before, I went for a walk and did not stop walking." That was mostly true; Kyran had abandoned his duties to just get away from reality. And that brought him out here with barely anything. As for the second question, that was a different situation. "And.. I do not care. Anywhere and all I can hope is.. soon. Death follows us all, no matter where we go." he half replied, half muttered. His voice almost hollow as he thought of it. He didn't care anymore. The shadows that terrorized his dreams were now like chains around his ankles. Every nightmare forced him to remember about how he failed. How he was a burden now. How he couldn't save countless lives because of his selfish accents How he-
The weight of the hand on his head scared Kyran. Kyran flinched and saw Herod rubbing his head, almost in a fatherly gesture. He fought back the shaking cries that climbed in his chest. Why? Why was Herod being so kind to him? I don't deserve his kindness at all. He came all the way out here for me, when he shouldn't! Then, all the heavy thoughts disappeared as Kyran spotted the canine like creature. Immediately like a child, his attention span then focused on the canine. His dark eyes became round like small teacups as she saw the strange new woman embracing the canine with something strange. It was like the dog was her cherished companion, but why was she holding it so tightly in such a tight grip? But then, the appearance of the quiver and bow made him antsy. What was she going to do with those? "Well trained dog there.." he commented.

Khree'en moved a few steps forward as the horse stopped in front of her "What was it?" she asked the tribes woman, causing the tribes woman to frown as she looked out across the vastness of the ashlands "Giant's, moving though the badlands with a horde of slaves, they will probably get close to the tribe. I will ride on ahead and warn everyone to get moving. the tribeswoman said, causing Khree'en to nod her head "I will walk back" Khree'en said and the tribeswoman nodded her head, turning to look at Herod and then at Kyran for a few seconds each before looking at Khree'en with what would echo annoyance- most likely at her loss to the King, it looked at if the rider wanted to punish her- however the tribe took president and instead the rider took off, riding west.
Khree'en looked over at Kyran and at Herod "Mother believes that when the Letho's betrayed the tribes Vramera saw it fit to freeze the badlands as retribution and when the Letho's are killed they will be returned to a paradise that it was once long ago" Khree'en said bluntly as she headed back over to the river, sitting down next to it and staring into the water. She would reach in with her left hand and let the water rush over her hand while her short hair covered her face. Something chunky hit her fingers and Khree'en pulled it out of the water in order to pick up a water pancake and bite into it, ripping into it with her teeth and swallowing it after a few chews as the water pancake regenerated itself just as she took another bite.

H E R O D ✹ L E T H O ▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄ ❝..Next to the Throne..❞ ┏━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┓ Herod's eyes would look at the girl who took liberty and retied his bandages. His eyes blinked slowly as he watched her though he didn't resist or say much. His eyes only seeing how to do it properly. "All too eager to do this I see." He muttered while looking to her. He'd then stand up tall while crossing his arms seeing the dog come. Or in his eyes a dog. His eyes blinked slowly as he felt his heart audible beat. He'd stare at it for a few moments before he'd look off to the side sighing a bit. He enjoyed animals more than he should it seemed, a simple pant of a dog could melt his heart. He'd though look to the huntswoman as she approached and spoke of the situation. His hand would go to his neck while he cracked it a bit hearing her say Giants. A giant itself took 7 strong men to fight. Though speaking in plural made Herod's heart beat audibly twice. His eyes would follow the contact between the two before looking to the woman walk to the river, and feel the malice from it.
He'd stand behind the woman as she pulled from the water what seemed to be a pudgy mound of moss. Though when she spoke his hand went to his hip. "So that was your mother?" He'd let his voice trail while looking to the rider in the distance before the woman once more. "Well. Next time you see her, send her my apologies." He'd say while picking up one of the shoulder pads, and the cape he wore that rested on the ground. His bandaged chest seemed to glow a bit from his left pec. "She can believe whatever tales she wants. But, I won't die for some Elder God's Pleasure." As he says this, his feet trail towards the same route as the rider. His eyes pressed ahead while his hand adjusted the shoulder pad on to his right shoulder, and began to tie the cape. ┗━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┛ ▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄

I take great pleasure in seeing others do well. My mother taught me such pleasures before she passed." Ambrosia placed a hand on top of Rascal's hand, pride in her eyes at Kyran's comment. His body language proved hesitance but she was used to people becoming unnerved by Rascal. He was a wolf after all and a rather large one. When on all fours he stood even with her hips. Looking at him and Herod she smiled, "This is Rascal. I saved him when he was just a cub. Some hunters had killed his mother after she had gone on a killing streak with the towns flock. While he is a wolf, he's rather harmless...that is unless I'm in trouble. You may pet him if you'd like. I promise he's a real sweetheart." Rascal thumped his tail as if in agreement.
Ambrosia's smile faded however at the mention of giants. A great many have been injured or killed by them, one couldn't help but feel wary at even the mentioning of them. She tried to hide her uneasiness but surveying the area around, masking her face with a calm expression. She caught sight of Herod's silhouette headed in the same direction as the rider, a part of her felt sad at the loss of company but she shook it off. She had Rascal and soon enough she'd be able to pay respects to the Goddess Amalia, and on her way to learn the culture of Phobos. "I wonder which way I should go to get to Maude..." she uttered softly. ✰═━┈ 𝚃𝔥𝔢𝔯𝔢'𝔰 𝔞𝔩𝔴𝔞𝔶𝔰 𝔞 𝙻𝔦𝔤𝔥𝔱 𝔦𝔫 𝔱𝔥𝔢 𝙳𝔞𝔯𝔨𝔫𝔢𝔰𝔰...𝙸𝔱'𝔰 𝔪𝔶 𝔧𝔬𝔟 𝔱𝔬 𝙶𝔲𝔦𝔡𝔢 𝔶𝔬𝔲 𝔱𝔥𝔯𝔬𝔲𝔤𝔥┈━═✰

Kyran focused on the dog, rather taken by the creature's beauty. It was not until Kyran heard the words spoken between the tribeswomen did he hear. Giants? Moving through the badlands with slaves? And getting close to the tribe lands? He glanced over at Herod who seemed preoccupied with the idea of the giants. They were a great threat, no matter the kingdom. Kyran pondered if the barbaric clans could even stand a chance against them. Would they be ok? As the rider went off west, Kyran made a quick prayer for safe travels. As much as Kyran may not appreciate or like the barbarians, it was important that travels were always safe.
He nodded slightly, finally looking away from the dog. He really wanted to pet the dog, but at the same time, Kyran knew he would start sneezing and have his eyes streaming. Instead, he decided to simply stare at it with a rather strange concentration. "The Maude is slightly beyond to the southeast. You will need to fly to reach the Maude." Kyran immediately explained, pointing in an obscure direction in the general way. The only reason why Kyran knew was because of his travels there; Kyran was not the most intelligent when it came to directions and other matters. Hopefully, Herod would not notice Kyran's quick and correct answer of the Maude.
Then, he caught the woman's words. "The Lethos.. killed?" he echoed. Judging from the words, she must mean all the Lethos.. What if that was true? "But Brother, what if she is true? If this land can become a paradise, to even before Leo had fought upon these lands.. The people.. Every person upon the land: the city folk, the tribes, the Ethe people could live here." Kyran asked. The almost empty, hollowness returned into Kyran as he thought about the words. While Kyran did not know much about such beliefs, every belief had to be sustained from some fragment of truth. If anything following the lines were true, then perhaps things can be changed. For the better. For the people. For all. For everything. For Father maybe.

"besides, eventually the tribes will move out of the badlands and settle somewhere like the rest of you pretty folk" she said as she stretched her arm over her chest, hissing slightly at the pain that it caused when she did "Yes, that was my mum, and Ill make sure I wont. The words of a Letho don't mean s**t to her so its best to keep any words from you shut up" Khree'en said with a smirk growing on her face as she took up the hunting bow that had been discarded.
Taking a deep sigh Khree'en looked up at the dark sky, it was already night and travelling back to the badlands on foot would take a while. Her smirk turned into a grimace as she thought of the possibility of having to stay the night in the capital; she had the funding for it but that didn't mean she wanted to, however with a deep sigh she made up her mind and started walking slightly Southwest knowing that eventually she would find Phobos' capital city.

H E R O D ✹ L E T H O ▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄ ❝..Next to the Throne..❞ ┏━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┓ Herod stopped as he gained distance. He thought for a moment before looking back towards the group. He'd shake his head a bit as he turned around. He'd begin to walk towards them as he whistled through his fingers. His eyes closed while he awaited for the sound. Though while he did, he walked to the group once more and shook his head. "I can't just leave you here alone Kyran. Or bring you into that situation." He'd say while putting a hand on his hilt. His eyes staring to his younger brother for a few moments. The stallion that was most precious to the man would soon ride forth, it's mane of white matching their fur. The horse's size trumping most by two or three times. On it's side, a cover that covered almost it's entire side, while Herod looked up to the great beast and pet it's snout.
He'd then walk to the young prince and lifted him up as if a child. Though it could be seen as demeaning or embarrassing, he didn't let the young man down until he was seated upon the stallion and Herod took the reigns. He'd look to the woman below while looking down and blinking. His hand would go out to her as he awaited to see if she would accepted a ride. As well as looked in the direction of the woman heading to the capital. "You shouldn't walk the badlands alone. It tends to be dangerous." ┗━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━┛ ▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄

It's nice to know a general direction." Stringing the bow across her shoulder she went to make a move in the general direction the boy had made. But stopped as she heard his words...A paradise that comes to be after a mass slaughter? That's no where she'd like to live and she could only hope other Ethian's would feel the same. She let out a mental sigh of relief at the woman's words. She too didn't believe it and it comforted her to know that she wasn't the only one who believed it to be nonsense. Surely the great Goddess Amalia would never allow such a thing to be real.
Ambrosia was brought out of her thoughts as a great beautiful stallion appeared as Herod walked back to them. As soon as he got back to their location he lifted the other man up onto the horse as if he were a child. She couldn't help her intrigue, without even knowing who exactly they were she was sure of one thing. They had to be family. They seemed to share a bond or at least familiarity that only family had. She was happy to see the show of care in front of her, though she hid her thoughts to herself. Coming out of her thoughts she saw his hand extended to her. Blinking in a moment of confusion she soon smiled and nodded, taking his hand gently as he helped pulled her up onto the magnificent stallion. "Thank you." Once up on top of the horse the ground looked much farther than before and she had to squelch a small pang of fear. She was a phoenix for Goddess's sake. She shouldn't fear height..at least not from this distance. She's flown much higher than this...But of course she had always had her wings to help support her, now she'd just fall. She slowly let go of his hand as she saddled in close to him, instinctively wrapping her arms on his waistline for support and stability...She tried to look away from him so he'd not see her fear, but the flush on her cheeks portrayed everything. Looking down at her beloved wolf she locked eyes with the expectant pup. "Rascal follow behind us, however no mischief mister...We Do Not want to spook the steed...please." the last being said extremely quiet. Rascal let out a snort that resembled his begrudging acceptance of her order. With that said she tried hard to relax her hands that seemed to be holding onto the stranger rather tightly. ✰═━┈ 𝚃𝔥𝔢𝔯𝔢'𝔰 𝔞𝔩𝔴𝔞𝔶𝔰 𝔞 𝙻𝔦𝔤𝔥𝔱 𝔦𝔫 𝔱𝔥𝔢 𝙳𝔞𝔯𝔨𝔫𝔢𝔰𝔰...𝙸𝔱'𝔰 𝔪𝔶 𝔧𝔬𝔟 𝔱𝔬 𝙶𝔲𝔦𝔡𝔢 𝔶𝔬𝔲 𝔱𝔥𝔯𝔬𝔲𝔤𝔥┈━═✰

"Even if it is false, every belief has to begin somewhere." Kyran replied, not defending himself at all at the comment of mass slaughter of innocents. Perhaps being out here was getting to Kyran's head. But as far as the prince was concerned, he just wanted to find some reasoning to continue. And so far, it hasn't happened so far. He glanced at Herod as the barbarian woman started moving west. Now, why would she be going that way? Was she heading towards the capital city? Just then, Herod seemed to take matters into his own hands, staring at him and commenting about leaving him here. "Brother, I can walk back just fine and-" Kyran protested but it didn't stop Herod.
Now, Kyran wasn't exactly the most light person, but Herod managed to pick him up like a child or sack of flour. Alarm, stress, and embarrassment came to Kyran. "Why this.." he whined, covering his face with his hands. While it may look bad on Kyran, it would definitely look bad on Herod. This was almost as embarrassing as the time that Kyran tried to shoot an arrow for the first time- another thing he refuses to do if possible.
As the other woman got on the steed also, Kyran pondered if he should just get off and fly back. While it probably meant that Kyran would catch a cold, it was worth it to avoid making more of a scene. However, if others saw Herod, the King, carrying this woman back, there will be rumors. Well, then again, was it any better for the younger prince and an unknown woman on the same horse as the King? However, eying the canine, Kyran didn't want to risk anything further and simply stuck his face in his hands.

Shaking her head Khree'en kept walking, the smell of the ashes entering her nose and causing her to sigh.
After less then ten seconds walking she felt like she was slugging along, as if it was taking for ever for her to make her way though the ashes, it was actually quite annoying. Khree'en took a deep breath and put her sword and the hunting bow down so they rested in the ashes and she walked fifty feet forward and turned around. Looking at the sword and bow Khree'en took a deep breath and ran forward. She hardly felt the ash beneath her feet as feathers sprouted along her arms and face, Her brown eyes turning blue and taking up the white of her eye, a feathered tail sprouted from her back and she slowly turned into a purple Phoenix with black horns. She grabbed the sword and bow in her talons just as she swooped up, of course she made sure to bat Herod with her wing before she turned and took up into the air. She seemed to falter for a second due to her injuries, however she managed to stay in the air as she flew toward the capital.

His eyes would look off to the side while he felt a small hook to his waist. It seemed the maiden had latched onto the man while his chin rose up. He'd feel the grip tighten a bit before pulling his hand out. He didn't so much as touch the steed's barrings in anyway as he looked off to the side at the wolf like dog's presence beside them before watching the wind kick up ash from the Phoenix. His eye blinked slowly before crossing his arms and nodding. "Let us be off Siegfried." He'd command as the horse would let it's powerful hoof slam into the ground before pushing them forward at an amazing speed. Though he merely spoke, it seemed as though he had near full control of the stallion as it carried them back towards the civil world.

Lost in her thoughts once more she didn't hear Herod's command to the horse and was caught off guard as the horse launched forward and at incredible speed. Frightened Ambrosia buried her face into his back and maintained a firm hold on him. Where they were headed? She wasn't sure, but she was sure she could find her way to Maude from there...if she survived this ride on the horse. Her only comforts were that Rascal was racing along side of them, keeping pace with the horse and that she found this strangers scent to be oddly calming to her. She tried to focus on his steady heartbeat and warmth she could feel through his back and not the irrational fear of falling off the horse. High pitched whining noises continued as they group set off towards the capital city. Even if Kyran was thankful that a horse back ride was quick, he still did not want to look more of a fool that he already is. Plus, it inconvenienced Herod. He was literally the extra baggage. If he flew back, Herod can return to the castle sooner. However, it was too late. If he were to struggle, it would risk Herod getting angry. At this point, the only option was to just live with this treatment. He felt the horse moving underneath him. Sighing, Kyran decided might as well just take a nap as they returned home. (exits)
