"To be fair, I've spoken about you many times and told them stories about their father. So they kind of think any man is their papa at the moment, but you are the first I've allowed to hold them besides their uncles." She replied warmly before carefully taking Leon from him. "Come here my little man, lets not talk daddy's ear off and go inside." She cooed to the toddler while smiling at Roland. "Talk as diplomats? You mean about the things which are happening as of late?" She asked, a hint of concern lacing her voice.

Naturally she asked the visitors identity and found out it was her beloved home from the war. Thankfully the guard gave her a quick hand by placing her younger son in her arms after she had picked up the older son, allowing her to hurry towards the garden. Once she was outside, she carefully set the boys down and breathed a soft sigh of relief while leading them over to the man she held so very dear. "Dada! Dada!" Leon called before finally running towards Roland, which of course had Arthur following suit. "Dada!" Arthur cried joyfully, earning a soft giggle from Athena as she decided to finally pick her skirt up a little and run a little.

This moment, where he could hurry to his kids and hold his children victoriously in his arms, was exactly why he did everything with a do or die mentality. With his sons Leon & Arthur given a hug he'd carefully place his kids down before running to his beloved princess to wrap her tightly in his arms and give her a deep, hard and passionate kiss that was heated with how much he truly did love her.

They were after all still very young. Naturally they fussed a bit at being put back down on the ground, but decided to toddle along behind Roland as he rushed to hug Athena. Of course she hadn't expected the deep, passionate kiss that met her lips so suddenly, but she eagerly returned it while trying to will strength back into her knees. She truly loved this man and he truly loved her, it was right there for everyone to see were they to pay attention to them. Feeling her beloveds arms around her and his frame held within her own, tears of both joy and relief began to fall unbidden from her closed eyes.

Nothing about eyes on them bothered him for he wanted everyone to see how she loves him and he loves her too. His hands began to grip her tighter as one found its way around her hip and the other behind her head to feel her silk hair and press their lips even tighter; almost lewd in nature but more relieve of love and life as this romance is what made families happen. "Hey, got off of our mommy!" A pouted and upset little Leon who stood beside Roland with arms crossed and a hard stare while his brother Arthur stood closer to his mother in a defensive way; both of them acting as her little knights. "I'm sorry my sons. Your father got carried away with his happiness to see your mother again." Though he didn't really want to Roland would release Athena to their sons but still a smile of jubilation would stay as pride took his heart to see his sons acting so strong at such a young age. "You've taken such good care of our children Athena. I'm proud of your nurturing ways and thank the gods that I have a woman like you to call my love." With their father having let go of their mother he'd instead go down on one knee and reach out to his boys for a hug, which after a second to cool of they did and forgot why they were even upset in the first place as Roland keeps his arms up and his children balanced on his biceps. "I've missed you so much Athena."

She was very glad that he had survived the war, though the sound of her little Leon's scolding voice broke the daze and caused a giggle. "I didn't raise them alone my love, after all you gave me the dear old goose for help. Plus I had stories of their father to help as well." She replied before kneeling and snatching Arthur from his arm, who squealed. "My two little knights have grown so much and they tend to come to their mothers rescue at some of the strangest times. Especially when they want all the attention." She murmured while nuzzling her little mans cheek. "I've missed you as well my love. Are you staying for a couple days this time? Or must you leave for Bellris right away? I'm sure your sister must be wondering after your health." She asked hoping they would have at least a couple of days together for a change.

He was the happiest man alive to be with his woman and sons, he almost felt the many battles he's fought wouldn't and shouldn't allow such a man to have such a welcoming home; Her heart always being his driving force to come back alive. "If you would allow me to send a message to my sister I'm sure I'd be able to stay, unless she needs me for something important." Not one to leave any of his sons out, Roland snatched up Leon in his arms as he spun swiftly on his heels and after swooping the boy up like a bunny he'd hug the mother of his children so they could share this moment as a family. "But no matter what, before I go, I wanted to talk about our wedding. After all, is your hand in marriage not my prize for slaying the evil emperor's army and coming back alive?" They had lots to discuss and many things to talk about, so much time to make up for, and as he stare into Athena's lovely emerald eyes he knew he didn't want to leave her side again for as long as he can; His heart content knowing that she was the same.

Naturally Athena enjoyed it as well, while Arthur tried to cling to Roland. "Of course you can send a letter to your sister my love. After all she needs to know you are alive and well." She murmured before blushing a little, though a gent loving smile played upon her lips the whole time. "Y-yes that certainly was to be your prize for returning alive, and if your sister doesn't need you for anything important I would very much love for you to stay with me for a few days so that we could discuss our w-wedding." She cooed bashfully before putting her little boy down. "You and your brother go play, but stay close so that mommy can keep an eye on you both okay?" She instructed Arthur, hoping Roland would catch on to what she was doing.
