Hit points: 25 Damage: 5 each time attacked If you successfully kill this bird, each party involved in the battle gets 10XP and rolls 1d100 to collect loot according to the following: 1-80: You gain nothing but the victory of having beaten this opponent. 81-90: Poisonous Dung: You manage to collect a vial of the vile stuff. It can thrown at an opponent once to poison them, dealing 1 damage for 3 turns. After this it is consumed and leaves your inventory forever. 91-99: Heart's Blood: You manage to collect a vial of the creature's blood. It can be used once to replenish 3 HP, at which point it is consumed and leaves your inventory forever. 100: Metal Feather: Once per battle, you can backstab with this small dagger. Add 2 to your final damage. This item is reusable, and remains in your inventory.

She wasn't off to such an amazing start, not this time. Before the door to the hotel had even closed behind her she was attacked, talons coming right for her face. Her left cheek was scraped before she had tome to do anything more then duck. "Son of a..." She cursed as she put snow quickly to her face. She didn't know how bad it was, no way to do so without a mirror, but at least the snow would hopefully numb it and stop the bleeding. She was pretty sure she had seen someone else do something like that.

With one hand holding the snow to her face there was no way she was able to attack the bird, bows needed two hands, and so she was pretty much a walking target. She tried to get to cover, to hide under a tree to at least escape the flying dung long enough that she could numb her cheek, but was having no such luck. This was no her fight, the bird that had picked her this time had the upper hand she was sure. She just had to find a way to get it back now.

Finally her cheek went numb, and although it wasn't the most pleasant of feelings it was better then pain. Letting the snow fall from her hand and onto the floor she was able to knock an arrow and escape from the cover of the tree. Pulling back hard she let an arrow go sailing towards her attacker, hitting it straight in his wing. Finally she was doing something to it.

It was vain of her, but Beaulah was worried that the scratch on her cheek would scar. It wasn't horrible, at least she didn't feel like it was horrible, but that didn't mean it wouldn't be permanent. In her moment of vanity the bird got her arm once again, taking the opportunity that she had given it.

Beaulah was pissed, and maybe it she wasn't so mad she would've gotten a better shot but as it was she was able to hit the bird with her next arrow. She was being made a fool by this bird, and although there was no one around to watch her she was still embarrassed. She was better then this. She wasn't going to let some mindless bird defeat her. No she was Chosen, and she would win.

Letting her anger fuel her, but not take over, her next shot was one that she made count. She was able to hit the bird in it's head, causing it to die instantly. This time though she did not celebrate as she walked towards the bird. She was still angry and still worried about her face. No she was going simply to check if she could find anything with this bird and then head back to the hotel to see about her face.

Finally something. Using the vial that she had been given from another Chosen she was able to contain some of the birds dung. It was gross, that was sure, but it would come in handy she was sure.
With the dung contained she rushed back to the hotel, hoping to find a doctor or at least someone who could tell her that her face would be all okay.
