❧ Biography -- ●○● Born in poverty, Scheherazade, like most women, was considered either an object or completely worthless. Her mother died giving birth to her, leaving her in the care of a father who already didn't want her. Scheherazade grew up unloved and unwanted. But, despite her sorrows Scheherazade found a friend: a boy named Issam. As she and Issam grew older, she found herself strongly attracted to him for his handsome looks and his kindness. Constantly supporting him, Scheherazade watched as Issam grew to be a wealthy man, not knowing he was actually the leader of a group of bandits, who were slowly taking over. Fortunately, Scheherazade, unlike other girls her age, did not develop until she was nearly 18. It was then that her father sold her to Issam. Initially, this made Scheherazade the happiest woman in the world, until she realized what kind of man he was...and what he intended to do with her. His actions were the ultimate betrayal to her. It wasn't until Scheherazade was 24, having suffered through Issam's cruelty, that she escaped under a veil of night. Scheherazade then disappeared, appearing later as a veiled, well known harem dancer, using her womanly wiles to find her own path.
