gaia_star To be able to purchase/win/obtain an MYO ash, you must first complete at least one 'quest' thread and have it approved by either Furesiya or Dx33x.

gaia_star Normally things are gone about very casually in Cauldron, but for these, we feel the more thought and info put into it, the better~ We want to be able to tell what you are after and we want you to -get- what you are after.

gaia_star MYO Deity are not required to go through this procedure! This is only for classic, four ingredient ashes~ gaia_star

Its vital to understand the theory behind ashes ingredients if you're going to set about making your own!
Its a rather abstract concept, but I'll try and put it into as plain of terms as possible.
Feel free to ask questions once the thread is open though.

gaia_star Ashes are a collection of ingredients that will make up the over all 'aura' and feeling of your stage 1.

gaia_star The questions I always ask myself when picking ingredients are;
--First, what am I feeling. What over all design do I want?? Then I break it down into:
- What culture/ethnicity do I want?
- What main colors should be prevalent?
- What disposition do I want the resulting character to start off as?
- Are there any special style cues I want to include?

gaia_star Then I set about filling in those questions with 'items' that would hint or outright illustrate the answers I chose.
Examples using the questions above:

- I wanted Chinese style, probably hanfu as I love that style. So I think of things traditionally chinese, and also hinting at the flowy nature of the hanfu. If I cant' think of something that is both, I will settle for something decidedly chienese to start: Chinese Moon cake (this would be a cultural cue)

- Then since I want to work in the flowy nature of the hanfu, I would add something that definitely reflects that: Ethereal Sash. (this would be a 'style cue')

- Colors? If I'm feeling like fresh spring greens/pale yellows: Lime Blossom would carry that. Or dark and sinister? Inky Drops. and so on.
When it comes to the actual color of your ashes, I will ask specifically then double check with you that the result is a-ok, as that does have a good amount of influence as well. One color cue in the description is not a bad thing to have too though.

-Disposition aka personality. This is probably the least important really. You can use up the four ingredient slots with other things and still hint at personality, but if you have one -definitely- in mind, it wouldn't be bad to state it obviously.
I tend to lean towards musical or food imagery. But you can use whatever as long as it illustrates it well enough. ex: Energetic Shamisen Tune (this carries a cultural cue too), Wind Swept Sails denotes a sense of adventurous spirit, Charitable Heart of course speaks of a gentle soul, and Haughty Twirl will surely make such an individual.
Again though, many ashes don't have it stated so obviously. Its up to you and your list of priorities to get into the ashes.

-Then the style cues, such as the Sash above. These are super important as it will expand on the over all imagery and help me decide what style direction to go when designing. The added items during growth of course have influence, but they are -influencing- what was layed out in the ashes first. Its good to build a solid base on which to grow!
Infernal Helm will have some armor of the demonic sort, Arabian Velvet has a cultural cue as well as a sense of inviting mystery, Soft Marshmallow Sweets speaks of sweet, fluffy innocence.
Style cues can very easily be mixed with all of the other cues to make an even more in depth image.

gaia_star Over all, your ingredients should illustrate with words, one way or another, the image of the stage 1 you are aiming for. From cultural themes, predominant colors, personality, to over all style/feeling.
note: Do you -need- a cultural cue? Not necessarily! Just be aware that if you do not specify, it will more likely be 'european' of feeling or just so neutral that culture isn't present in any sense and the styles will just take over.

gaia_star MYO are not allowed HQ. So if you want things like wings/horns/tails/ears, please utilize the Add-On section of our store. For this reason, MYO will always been purely human aside from add-ons put into the cauldron (aka no mermaid or monster types like the Zodiacs) HQ Pick item from gacha are also not usable on MYO.

Here are the things you will need to set up in your thread.

gaia_star Thread Title: It should read just like this in the title, dash and all:

MYO: *insert Username here* - *insert Ash Name here*

also, make sure your thread is ONLY in the MYO forum plz.

-Once made, go ahead and reserve some posts just in case~

-Then you can go about deciding how you want to display the information.
However, the required Posts should at -least- be:

gaia_star Ash Ingredients- The actual ingredients/wording you will use for the 4 ingredients making up an ash.

gaia_star Ash name: Pick a name that encompasses the over all theme and feeling of your ashes. NOTE: Keep it TWO words max. We need to fit it in the title of the DA subs... Best bet is to go with one verb/adjective and one noun.

gaia_star Theme Summary: You should explain in a few sentences/ a paragraph what your over all vision/hopes/wishes/dreams for this ashes and its growth will be. You can explain your inspirations or simply just what it is you want and that you like it.

gaia_star Ingredient Breakdown: Then list each ingredient and how it applies to what you wrote above. How does it show the cultural and style influence you are going for? How does it lay out the colors or personality you might be aiming for? Each ingredient needs an explanation as to how and why it would work.

Optional: The following things are fully optional.
-You can keep a list of items you wish to use when growing.
-Name of the character, hopes for personality and story.
-Any sort of notes or planning for how you would wish to create and develop your character once its grown to stage 1.

yum_strawberry Once you are all set up and feel like you're ready, Tag me in a comment in your thread that you are ready for review. Only tag me for review when you're really ready though eve;;; If you have questions, see bellow. But when it comes to Reviews, I would rather not be called back days at a time. Be prepared~ Even though we might have to make tweaks, it should mostly be done-done.

Extra notes:

yum_strawberry Its not forbidden to ask advice! If you aren't sure how to pick an ingredient or two, feel free to tag me (furesiya) in your thread with the question. I might be a tad slow in answering and I won't be discussing/bargaining for pages over a single item.. but I'm willing to offer suggestions to create ingredients that will help you get closer to your ideal/perfect ash.

yum_strawberry You are able to make multiple threads. Just make sure that its only one ash per thread.

yum_strawberry Also, that being said, I know its fun to plan, but please consider only calling me in for advice and such if you are making a serious- would definitely be using if you obtain an MYO- thread. I've got tons of growth work to plow through almost constantly so am usually busy QUQ..
