      █║ WHO: Tatiana, Zul
      █║ WHEN: Late morning/early afternoon
      █║ WHERE: Gambino Mall
█║ WEATHER: Warm with the first threads of hot

Alex's birthday was coming up, and it was enough of a reason for him to return to Gambino - or rather, one of the only reasons, aside from a certain busy stag. The malls in Durem seemed too hipster and the malls in Aekea seemed too trendy and so, he found himself in the place of his Guardian's home, seeking the malls there for something that would scream her.

That could be hard, though. Finding something specific to a reckless, scarred big-hearted woman in something as commercial as a mall could be some special circle of hell. And he'd know best.

There'd been a march outside some few miles from the mall he hadn't paid much mind to, a bunch of people in white that meant little to nothing to him. His perusal of the mall hadn't taken more than an hour and, empty-handed, he left the busy locale, only dimly aware the march had reached his destination.

And they weren't all that white anymore.

It had been far too long since Tatiana had woken on this side of the world and to the hustle and bustle of Gaians. She had absolutely loved her time apart from the country- Cambridge, Massachusetts having so much to offer her in the way of education. Her eyes had been opened just that much wider to the makings of the universe. However the more she learned about just how insignificant the human race was- the more she longed for contact with who she was. Surrounded by people with legs, both working or not, full bodies who looked at her ribbon with a figment of fear and a lot of distrust.

So she came home. Isolated until her uncle had taken her in for yet another change of pace while Harrison was sent to mandatory training. She found herself bobbing in the open air air mall in a simple white laced dress. She removed her phone from her mint green crossbody and tapped the app for photography- taking a video of the people celebrating the day of color- pigment mixed with corn flower slowly clouding there as a few nervous tosses started the event. She chuckled, seeing a small boy aim and peg what she assumed was his father in the shoulder with a water balloon- then she found the focus honing in on a horned individual. Unlike those crowding the promenade. She felt something catch in her chest, pulling the phone down and replacing it to safety- he had a ribbon. Like her. It was another raevan.

The hamsa pulled her henna stained hands- intricate florets and birds gracing her fingers to forearms. She didn’t know what came over herself- but she moved amongst the crowd laughing under the volleys and plumes of color before snagging a balloon from a loaded position in a man’s hand and flinging it at the demon. She stood, watching a moment, her long hair braided with fly aways draping her face and shoulders.

One moment he'd been floating away from the whoops of laughter at his back, and the next, his head jarred forward with the impact of something -- something wet and briefly loud that exploded on his heated central horn from behind.

For a moment, Zul froze, staring down at his hands that caught the liquid - water - and a few scraps of something colorful. A balloon? -- was he just hit with a water balloon?

Bemused, the Sigel whipped around, his wings spreading to keep his balance, his ribbon dancing in the eddy of movement his shift had caused. Impossibly wide, blue eyes turned over the march, suddenly very much aware of the mob and their antics, even if he didn't understand it in the least. The people, once adorned in white, were heaving fists full of bright colors at each other, painting their clothes in a myriad of rainbows. The parking lot was blanketed in the mismatched colors, some sort of technicolor snow.

Amidst it all, his eyes searched for his 'attacker' -- and landed upon a Raevan, one he'd only seen briefly many, many summers ago. She had long beautiful hair like Revontulet, braided and deepest blue, but she was darker skinned, like him, painted with pigments but also with a sort of faux tattoo he couldn't quite make heads or tails of.

Zul stared at her, unmoving, eyes wide in askance.

Tatiana used this small moment of shock to really search the sigel’s eyes- smile growing on her dusty red painted lips, a streak of teal gracing her cheek and chin from the earlier attacks.

She had managed to dip down, hand scooping and holding a pile of bright pink pigment- she gave Zul barely a moment to catalogue the events before cheekily blowing the dust at him. Laughing in delight as the colors stuck to his sun kissed skin. She gave something of a small bow and flicked her ribbon. She stretched her neck out then- impossibly long, her uncle called it elegant, showing just how unashamed she was of the action. Pausing, holding her breath and engaging in nothing but a smile for a beat. The older Raevan's reaction readily anticipated.

She smiled, and something about the expression forcefully reminded him of Rivener, prompting a slight grin in return that hiked up mostly on one side, like he wasn't sure how to manage the expression. It was short lived, as he barely had time to actually realize what she was doing before the pink dust was being blown on him.

It stuck immediately to his face and hair, dyeing the white locks a bright shade of pink that would make Cesc proud. He squinted against the dust and then blinked rapidly, watching the motes of it fall from his long lashes, clinging to his chest and abdomen. A sound like a sneeze escaped him, sending more pink powder flying and clinging to him. He'd been dragged into the celebration, face first, it appeared.

Zul snorted and then grinned again, the expression more comfortable and full of mischief, his teeth bright against the pink of his face. He didn't have a water balloon, but he didn't need it; instead, he formed a soft bit of ice into his palm, like a slushy, large cube, floating towards her. The grin didn't waver as he raised the heat of his hands and instantaneously melted the block, dousing the poor Frei with almost enough water to clean her face entirely.

Throwing dust? Oh no. His payback was more personal. Bowing down, he scooped the Frei up into his arms in an embrace and shook his head, making sure to spread as much of the pink as he possibly could. There was no escaping when he played games!

She’d thought of an escape plan, something cat an mouse that involved melting back into the crowd of celebration, dancing and a cheering din. On her exit trajectory with the gall to lean forward and stick her tongue out just slightly- between her teeth to mock Zul in the plight of ever more pink cornflour sticking to his hair and skin.

But then the sensation of losing her axis hit her so hard- deftly aware of the large arms that pulled her and cradled her away from her defensive stance- she let out something halfway between a laugh and a loud honk before breaking into a fit of laughter. The water that had doused her soaked her hair and clothes allowing pigments in the cloud to find purchase there- seemed to roll off her skin and feathers, leaving her person to instead spin and orbit freely along her limbs and head, pigment washed with it tinting the spray blue.

She squealed, her accented tongue laughing and nearly chirping as she squirmed. She grabbed purchase of one of his horns, trilling as she plead into the crowd “Lemme down! Lemme down!”

Her laughs betrayed her cries though- rune surging with a feeling she hadn’t felt in months. Not since the flight home.

The demon half snorted, half laughed, spinning and dipping the Frei to make sure he got maximum purchase of pink against her. Zul was in no way prepared for the honk that escaped her, however, earning a sharp, surprised bit of laughter from him. She was a bird, apparently - a goose, maybe? He had no way of telling, but he liked her immensely already, ceasing his tilt to set her 'right' again, his head tilted to one side to allow her that grip without yanking.

Setting her 'down,' he grinned, making sure to rub his warm, wet thumb over her cheek, a clean streak against the light pink that dusted her. "What is this?" he inquired, motioning to the fly of colors and exuberance around them.

She couldn’t help herself from pausing to catch her breath before spinning and grabbing at whatever color her fingers could find and flicking modest specks of green at the demon. She immediately dug her fingers into her hair, pushing the fly-aways off her forehead and nose. Streaks of green and pink chasing her palms and staining her blue tresses as she did.

She held her hair back- making a secondary ponytail- despite the bulk being tied back in a quickly failing out. She furrowed her brow while keeping the joy on her face- a ‘are you kidding me?’ face if there ever was one. She laughed and shook her head, “Holi. Festival of color? And this? Is Cornflower and pigmentation~”

There was a halting lilt accenting her words as they fell out. She had found yet another handful of vibrant color- yellow and easily spilling it over Zul as she danced around him. Wobbling a bit on her center but honestly so much more stable than she normally was- with the proximity to the other raevan.

Zul shook his head in wonder, his grin giving him the most baffled but intrigued look as she explained. "I like this," he decided out loud, smearing the flicked green down his nose like war paint.

The yellow dust that touched his central horn sent off brief sparks, setting off a halo where it burned around the contact, the rest dusting his hair from pink to yellow like some neon flame. Laughing, Zul reached over to grab some blue out of a passer-by's pouch, sprinkling it like rain over the Frei. Once the pinch was used, he slid his fingers mindfully through her hair to create vibrant streaks against her rich, dark blue, uttering a soft, "Lemme help," before gathering the stray locks back up in an effort to bind them in another braid, his gloved hands warmed to expedite the procedure.

When he was done, he lifted his thumb and ran it over his eyebrows, giving him a half blue eye shadow, half eye war paint look as he laughed under his breath.
