Baring several miracles in a row, zOMG! is never coming back. In order to fix the dangerous security vulnerability that got the game shut down in the first place, they would need to rewrite most of the game's code, and the cost of doing so is apparently so high that even trying to fund it through Kickstarter - according to the devs - would be unreasonable. There are more details in this announcement from 2014.

I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this, or if it has been asked before as I am not ever available during the times of the "Ask the Staff" events although I think they are great. Anyways, a couple friends and I have created a crew that plays ZOMG together just about everyday. The other day we were chatting and thought it may be nice if there were a headset capability within the game to chat with crew members, similar to the ability to do so on an XBOX game or PS4. Questions being: Is a headset crew chat capability able to be done in ZOMG? It would be a lot easier than having to type whilst playing.
Sorry for the long post / question.... sweatdrop If there is a better place to post this, please let me know.... 3nodding heart

Sorry for the long post / question.... sweatdrop If there is a better place to post this, please let me know.... 3nodding heart This question was asked in the July 18th session, but was not answered by Staff. IIRC, there actually was a voice chat feature in zOMG! at one time (and you could even spend Gaia Cash on a feature that would alter your voice in various fun ways) but it had to be removed for a reason I don't recall. If you can't make it to the actual sessions, I'd recommend you post your question here; it's not guaranteed you'll get an answer, but it's likely your best bet if you don't know exactly which member of Gaia Staff is in charge of the thing you want to ask about (If you do, you could try shooting them a PM! In zOMG!'s case, though, I'm afraid it might be Lanzer himself, who isn't focused on zOMG! right now and is already busier than might be healthy.)
