Weapon(s): Nothing is more powerful than the mind ( ͡~ ͜ʖ ͡°) Chalk and incantationsPower(s): CONJURATION - With this type of magic, John can summon creatures and constructs made entirely from pure magic. One of his most used summons is a shimmering force field, which he creates through drawing magic circles. The force field can block both physical and magical attacks. Another common summon is a spectral wolf, or two if he's feeling lucky. POLYMORPHING - He has the ability to poof others or himself into another type of organism. The polymorph lasts up to five minutes, unless John dismisses the magic. Depending on how much magic he can spend, he can polymorph multiple beings at the same time. He cannot, however, polymorph an inanimate object. ELEMENTAL - Harnessing the power of the five elements, John is able to control fire, water, earth, lightning, and wind. He can generate these elements as well as channel them. ENCHANTING - John can enchant items to give them special properties. Some examples would be enabling an object to speak, bestowing magical power upon a sword so that it creates flames when it strikes against something, or giving life to a pile of boulders and making it into a golem. Enchantments take days, or sometimes even weeks, to prepare and perform, but once they are completed, they are permanent. They also only work on inanimate objects. { P } e r s o n a l i t y & B i o g r a p h y Personality: A happy-go-lucky young man who enjoys making people laugh and smile, John is a gregarious prankster who, more likely than not, finds himself running from, or even running into trouble. Academically, he is quite bright, but when it comes to street smarts, he could have more common sense. He's the type of kid to test things out for himself as opposed to listening to advice on the first hearing. If you tell him, "John, don't touch the fire. It's going to burn you," then guess what he'll do. Yeah, that's right. He'll touch the fire, anyway. Despite John being a huge dork, he's trusting and loyal, and he holds his family and his friends incredibly close to his heart. Biography/Background: His parents were wizards, and their parents before them were wizards, and every member in the Jacobs family reaching as far back as time can remember were all wizards, too, so it's no surprise where John inherited his magical prowess. As a child, his life was stable and filled with curiosity and wonder. His parents taught him the ways of magic, how it was everywhere and within them. "Magic is all around us, John. It's our feelings, our emotions, and when we focus on those feelings, we can do amazing and wondrous things." Five years ago, an amazing and wondrous thing happened. John was but a boy of twelve years old, traveling with his parents to a wizard's gathering in Russia. The snows hit hard, and the roads were icy. One moment, the car was driving straight and true, but in the next, the wheels skidded and the vehicle spun out. Everything that happened before his eyes passed by in slow motion. His mother threw out her hand and forced his seat belt buckle open with a spell. His father then used his magic to hurl the boy out of the car, crashing his body through the glass before it thumped into the snow. But a few gashes and bruises was a only a small price to pay, especially compared to the price of death. So how was it an amazing and wondrous thing that his parents died? Yes, they were dead, but they were not gone. Their loved lived on through their child, through him, because his existence after the accident was proof of their sacrifice, of their love, of their feelings... Of magic. Though he had lost his parents that night, John was not alone. By chance, or perhaps by miracle, there was another with whom he crossed paths, another wizard. Over time, he saw the man as his father figure, and young John eventually followed the elder wizard to Dark Stone. Little did he know that his second father wished not for the boy to come to the academy, for an ill fate awaited him, but such was the life of John. Hair Color: Pinkish white Eye Color: Icy blue Muscle Tone: Tone enough to wrestle a bear { C } o m b a t I n f o r m a t i o n Strengths: Her physical and spiritual power is formidable force to reckon with...that is, when she is accompanied by her spirits. Weaknesses: She cannot keep her spirits around while she sleeps, so when she dismisses them, her appearance remains the same, but her constitution becomes very weak, as if her body experienced 1200 years of wear and tear. Weapon(s): Her cloak, which she uses to whip discipline her students. Otherwise it's the good ol' hand. Power(s): SPIRIT SEER - She can see the spirits of the dead, she can see the spirits of nature, she can see human spirits, she can see supernatural spirits━she can see spirits of all kinds, both benevolent and malicious. She can communicate with them as well, but she does not have the power to make them manifest before the eyes of others. Though she has a wide variety of spirits to form unique bonds with, Ingeborg has chosen three specific types to house within her body: Spirits of the Storm, Spirits of the Berserker, and Spirits of the Void. When accompanied by these spirits, her 1200-year-old body is strengthened as if she were in her prime, however, she can only use one type of spirit at a time. SPIRITS OF THE STORM - In addition to giving accurate forecasts, Ingeborg can also control the weather and the elements of ice, water, lightning, and wind. She is able to bring rain for crops, halt storms for safe voyages across the sea, or bring down a lightning bolt to strike a foe. Her powers may be limited if she's inside. For example, a powerful enough lightning bolt could crash through a wooden house, but it wouldn't be able to strike through a stone castle. In an underground tunnel, she wouldn't be able to make it hail in there, but she could probably pull wind through if there were openings on both ends. SPIRITS OF THE BERSERKER - These spirits strengthen Ingeborg's body to endure more pain than a normal human being and allow her to perform mighty physical feats. She can punch through walls, through people, run across blazing coals, swim through freezing cold water, kick trees down, etc. She can push herself while bleeding out, and she experiences less pain, but she cannot regenerate herself. SPIRITS OF THE VOID - She uses these spirits to fold space and to carry things or people with her, including herself, however, she needs a blanket or some sort of flexible sheet of material, and often uses her cloak along with these spirits. Ingeborg drapes her cloak over an object, a person, or herself, and whatever the target may be, it disappears. The target is then stored in a "pocket dimension" and goes wherever the cloak goes. The pocket dimension is pitch black and can only store as much as a janitor's room can hold. The air is breathable and anything can live fine within the space as long as it's fed, hydrated, etc. When Ingeborg uses this spirits on herself, her body disappears but her cloak remains and curls through the air until it reaches its destination. While she is in the pocket dimension, only she can see in her mind where she is headed while directing her cloak where to go. { P } e r s o n a l i t y & B i o g r a p h y Personality: For someone who hails from the Vikings and once razed the lands as a warrior shaman, "motherly" and "disciplined" might not be the first things that come to one's mind when meeting Ingeborg for the first time. Indeed, she once believed that raw power and brute force was the way to strength, but she had thousand of years and more to learn otherwise. No, strength comes from doing the hard things━having patience, controlling one's temper, giving up pride, being the bigger person━and now, she is incredibly strong. Although she is not one to coddle her students, Ingeborg will reward and recognize them if they do well, but if they disobey, then she will not hesitate to punish them. At the core of her beliefs, her philosophy is that one must have a strong mind, a strong body, and a strong spirit. She wishes to be a proper model of "strength" to the students, but in doing this, Ingeborg is a bit of a hypocrite, as she hides the fact that her body is frail without her spirits' support. Biography/Background: It was a stormy night on the Scandinavian coast when Ingeborg Alstrom was brought forth into the world. As she grew up, she saw things that others couldn't see, and when she told of these "spirits" that occupied the world around her, she was hailed as a shaman and her role within her tribe was established. She would tell them which days were good for raiding, and which days they should avoid the seas. When she grew more accustomed to her powers, she began to control the storms in favor for her kinsmen on top of chasing away evil spirits that dared to haunt their lands. Eventually, she learned to form bonds with other types of spirits, and during her twenties, she joined her brothers and sisters in the raids with axe in tow. She wasn't just a shaman, she was a warrior, and the spirits guided her hand to slay her enemies while carving the path to victory. It was fleeting, though━the fighting, the sense of power, the riches, the plunder. Time flew by, and Ingeborg realized that everyone else around her grew older while her body was locked in time. Her family would eventually die from old age or die in battle, and the same would happen with the rest of her tribesmen. When they all laid to rest, she bid farewell to their spirits and trekked onward. She continued to serve as a shaman for other vikings. The Viking Age didn't last forever though, and she was blessed, or cursed, with living past the normal human age. The barbarian lifestyle became empty for her, and she was unsure of what to do with herself. So, she took to traveling the world in search for a deeper meaning in life. Over the centuries, she learned different languages, lived with different types of people, chased away evil spirits, and brought rain for farmers. She even stayed in monasteries where monks taught her about finding inner peace and to grow a heart that held compassion for all. She scoffed at their ideals, and when the world saw itself waging larger battles, she returned to her warlike self and fought for different empires and countries throughout the ages. When Ingeborg witnessed the destruction and loss of life all around her, she finally realized why the monks tried to guide her in the way they did. All of the spirits that she saw, lost and wandering in anger and sorrow━it made her realize that the world would spiral into darkness and despair if people continued to fight in fear and fury. It was then that she made her resolve; there was a reason why she was given so much time in her life, but it wouldn't last forever. With whatever time she had left, she would make use of it to make something everlasting in this world. She settled on becoming a teacher at Dark Stone, to pass on the lessons that she learned from her life experiences to the next generation. Ultimately, she wanted to teach these young ones how to defend themselves and how to think for themselves. This is why she calls herself a self-defense teacher and not a combat teacher. She doesn't want to teach them "cool moves" or to be "badasses" or to decimate their foes. No, she wishes to teach them how to protect themselves and their ideals, because when the dark future planned by the Headmaster arrives, Ingeborg can only hope that these kids will know how to defend against it. { E } x t r a I n f o r m a t i o n Theme: SolringenBattle Theme: Tears of the DragonLikes 1. Hair Color: Steel blue Eye Color: Daffodil yellow Muscle Tone: Athletic { C } o m b a t I n f o r m a t i o n Strengths: She can throw hands like a champ, and she can catch hands like a champ. Her endurance is above the average human, and her cardio is nothing to sneeze at. Survival in the wilderness is a strong suit of hers, too. Weaknesses: She's fairly new to her powers, and she can only use them at a low level. Her telekinesis requires a lot of focus, so she has to use it carefully. She also doesn't have very good control over her telepathy. When it comes to academics, she'll probably fail her classes or barely pass. Weapon(s): She had a pistol and a shotgun when she first came to Dark Stone, but they were confiscated. Power(s): TELEPATHY - As of now, she can only read the thoughts of others and project her thoughts into the minds of others. Currently, she can only use this power upon those within the same vicinity as her. She doesn't always have control, so sometimes she hears the thoughts of others without meaning to, and sometimes her own thoughts are unintentionally broadcasted. TELEKINESIS - This power allows Walker to move things with her mind. As of now, she can only move one thing at a time, and she can only move objects that can be lifted and held in one hand. REGENERATION - Walker's body regenerates from physical wounds at a swift pace. Cuts close within seconds, broken bones are healed, and lost limbs are regrown. She's also immune to diseases, poisons, and contaminants. As of now, she is only aware that her body can heal quickly from cuts. NIGHT VISION - She can see perfectly in the dark, but not in magical darkness. If a bright light suddenly shines in her eyes, she'll be momentarily blinded. { P } e r s o n a l i t y & B i o g r a p h y Personality: She's brusque, she's sarcastic, and she doesn't give a damn about what you say, so you should take her words with a grain of salt, too. Her verbal threats are harmless as well, because if she really wanted to hurt someone, she would have done so already. Walker isn't a team player and one should never expect her to be, however, she's not a recluse. She'll talk, but most people are generally met with rude remarks accompanied by an offhanded attitude. When she's off doing her own thing, the teenager is rather adventurous and brave. If she finds a good partner, then she'll take them along on her explorations, otherwise she'll go by herself; groups and crowds aren't preferable unless the people are rough 'n' tough buckaroos like her. But, despite her coarse exterior, she's not one to leave someone behind or in trouble. If someone manages to gain her trust, then they will have gained a loyal and dependable friend. She doesn't have a "softer side" to show, though. She'll still be the same gruff Walker. Biography/Background: The Wild West━that was her life. She grew up during the age of cowboys and claims, of gold mines and guns, of exploration and expansion. Knowing her biological parents was a luxury she never had, but she did have a family. They were a rowdy bunch━misfits━who were full of life and adventure, both the gals and guys alike. Some of them were outlaws, some of them used to be normal townsfolk, some of them were trailblazers, but they all had one goal in common, or two rather━to find gold and to have a good life. Walker never went to school growing up, but she wasn't entirely without an education. Her adoptive family taught her how to read and write, and she was taught simple mathematics as well so that she wouldn't be cheated out of any trades. She was taught what she needed to get along in the world, and everything else, she just learned on the way, especially with her love of exploring. There were multiple times when she wandered off from the group, whether if it was to chase after some fascination or to satisfy her curiosity. Every time, she found her way back to her family, but the last time she went off on one of her own little adventures, she found herself in a completely different world. It was an abandoned gold mine that caught her attention. Thinking that there might have been some left behind treasure, Walker dove in by herself, searching the tunnels for anything of interest. She happened upon a strange-looking metallic cube with foreign marks on it, and without any knowledge of what it was, she fiddled around with the object until it lit up and knocked her own lights out. Upon regaining consciousness, she felt different, and the box was nowhere to be seen. Her torch from earlier had gone out, but somehow she was able to see perfectly in the dark...? Loose rocks began floating around her, and in her panicked state, she shot up from the ground and sprinted out. When she arrived at the mouth of the mine, Walker discovered that the environment was not the same as when she had first entered into the tunnels. Thinking that she somehow must have taken the wrong way out, she went back inside, only to find that, no, this was the same tunnel she originally tread through. Just what sort of shenanigans did she get herself into? And where in God's green earth was she? After wandering around in some forest, she finally found herself standing before a grand structure, with buildings that reached into the sky and architecture that she had only seen in books. What was this place?
