And when I say sad, I meant like you don't want to do anything you're supposed to do and you just wanna stay in bed. Some days I feel like quitting my job, some days I question my purpose and some days I feel like I'm not giving life my all. Some days I feel fine.

I mostly watch funny anime or series or movie.. I'm currently watching Brooklyn Nine Nine when I get sad or I shop online (which is not good for my bank account).

So.. what do you guys do when you get sad? Do you get sad like me?

well i actually have a couple things i do ..

sometimes i just sit and cry..
sometimes i pick a fight with people just to try to get emotion out
sometimes i try to distract myself with friends or a movies
sometimes i eat my problems away
and i have in the past already read the 50 shades books because for me there is a part in there that is so sad it like swallows me up and i feel horrible and then i continue reading and as it mends itself i slowly feel mended?? it that makes any sense sweatdrop i know exactly where the part is .. and i go right to it

I lay on my back staring at the ceiling, listening to music that describes what I'm feeling. I curl into a ball and cry into my heart, as I try to stop myself from slowly falling apart.

When that falls I return to staring yet again, wondering when I'll be happy once again. And if after all I try my pain still persists, I tack a fake smile on and do silly things without remiss. Hiding behind the routines and charades, I hope that that the feelings I pretend will truly stay.

Yeah thankfully days like that are getting fewer and farther between.

I read fanfiction. I love The Labyrinth... and Jareth. emotion_drool I need to get into a roleplay or something too.

Reading fanfic really does the trick of cheering me up. That or I draw stuff or write all from the comfy bed.

To be honest, I lay in bed and read fanfiction. Or I play games.

I had that happen a ton about a year ago, nowso it's much more under control. Reading the above comments, I can tell you that when I get sad like that, I don't want to do anything. I don't want to listen to music, check my phone, shop online or watch TV. I stare up from bed, contemplating life, hating myself, debating quitting my job.

For me, I'll sit and think of all the excuses I can to call in. But then somehow I'm reminded that even if I did call in, whether it was just saying I was sick or to quit, I needed to get up because my pets needed me. They needed food or they would starve. Their little lives depended on me getting out of bed, and that was all the motivation I needed to get my day going.

If you have pets, I promise you this will help change your perspective. Even if you just have plants that need watering or something, knowing that they depend on you provides quite the motivation.

I 100% agree. Knowing that my cat needs me is great motivation to keep going.
