Strengths: His joyful and carefree personality is what tends to get him out of most situations. He is a pacifist by nature and would rather avoid fighting at all possible costs. But that doesn’t mean he doesn’t know how to pack a punch in an attempt to make a quick get away!
Weaknesses: His weakness in any situation would have to be his emotions. Taru is very easy to manipulate, the slightest comment about him, or his cooking would cause him to become putty in anyone’s hands.

Power(s): Taste/Feeling manipulation – just eating one bite from the food he creates, causes a person to feel various emotions from complete joy, to a sudden drowsiness. The emotion depends on the ‘special flavoring’ he puts in. He also has the ability to take a simply horrendous tasting dish, and make it taste like a five star meal.
Mood Changer – He carries about him a special aura, one that can make a tense situation calm and so on. However he can manipulate this aura of his own free will to cause a little mischief within the school, or to turn a situation in his favor.
Speed and agility – Despite his looks, Taru is very quick on his feet, able to run from one spot to the other within a blink of an eye. –Very useful when wanting to run away~

Personality: Taru can be a bit of a pervert, taking conversations and making them rather awkward… But despite this, Taru is a very passionate young man that enjoys making friends. He is also one that will voice his opinion, or sometimes force it onto another person without even realizing it. He enjoys being surrounded by large groups of people. Taru is easily excited over the sight, thought or mentioning of food – after all, food is his life, passion and hobby. He is very confident in himself and his cooking. But when pushed into a corner, he can become quite shy. He also has about him a mischievous little side, sometimes causing awkward scenarios just to see how the others would react.
Biography/Background: Taru grew up, living in his families restaurant. He aspires to become a great chef to impress his mother. He is very socially awkward and has a hard time making friends – though part of that could be the fact he tries to flirt with anything that goes walking by. But once you get past his pervy and flirty outer shell, you come to realize he's a very passionate and friendly person who scares, and gets emotional (rather easily), over things he cares about. When nervous, he has a habit of pulling out his comb and brushing his hair, or fidgeting with his fingers.
When captivated by the sight of some good eye candy, or when he feels too hot and bothered, he has a little hand fan in his pocket he pulls out and uses it to fan himself off. Oh! And did I forget to mention... when competely overwhelmed by beauty or a comment someone makes towards him, he has a tendency of having a nosebleed. Taru at times try to be the center of the party, by becoming a sort of 'comedy relief'. Despite his shortcomings, Taru is the kind of person that would make a valuable friend and is willing to be a listening ear or a shoulder to cry on.
When not cooking or with interesting company he has a tendency of falling into his own fantasies, a dreamy look on his face as he thinks to all the romance or passion that could come from thinking or talking to a certain someone. Once he's in his fantasy world, it takes a bit of effort to verbally talk him out of it, but give a small touch upon his shoulder or anywhere really, and Taru will snap out of his thoughts and let out a startled yelp.
Despite being shorter than most guys his age, he stands confident and strong, especially when in a kitchen. He is very passionate about cooking and is known to go on long winded rants about the dishes he creates. Considering his troubled past with his Papa and the other students from his previous school, the little chef has a very bright outlook on life, always trying his best to remain happy and bubbly on the outside. But when he’s alone, all his fears and anxieties seem to surface, causing him to have many hours of missed sleep – which is spent in the kitchen cooking his stresses away.
Taru wants nothing more in life to love and be loved by his special someone and is determined to do whatever it takes to find this person. When Taru is cornered, feeling stressed or provoked into anger (which takes a lot to do), his suave and sophisticated manner of speech seems to deteriorate, turning into that of a loud, and barely understandable Southern Accented babble. This accent would be considered by some a thick Cajun accent, hinting at his home roots in the southern states – a thing he doesn’t want people to know. He has a reputation to uphold with all his clientele and future employers to be a rich and attractive boy who comes from the busy city life.
As for the reason why he's attending Dark Stone Academy? His sickly mother, as well as Taru himself was attracted to the thought of having a near instant placement into the culinary field upon graduation from the establishment. Taru made a promise to his mother when she first got ill stricken that he would be sure to continue on the family name and tradition, His mother, like most other proud parents, wanted nothing more than success and happiness for her child and agreed to help him on his way to pursuing his dreams.To think, if he was accepted into one of the highest ranking schools, guaranteed success in his life and future... That would bring Taru one step closer to his goal of world domination -- in the form of pleasing everyone with his 'to die for', dishes!

When spooked, he shows signs of his demon side, a little fluffy cotton tail appears on his backside, and large ears appear on top of his head. Taru can also speak French, this is most common when he is trying to 'serve' someone.
