She nodded, struggling with carrying the bags. She would switch positions every few seconds, from having all sit on her wrists, to carrying one or two in her arms. She looked around, running to a tree in the sidewalk to sit under. Running around on a sunny day, while carrying things no less, had tired her out quite quickly. She sat on the bags, stretching out to lay across them. Her stomach began quietly began to announce itself.
"Jake, did we pack any food? I'm hungry again.."
What would soon become evident, was that her body wasn't used to having food frequently. Unfortunately for her, it wouldn't be the most pleasant feeling at first.

Jake noticed that Fujiko nodded in response to his question, even though she was struggling with the bags, switching positions every few seconds. "Fujiko, would you like some help with those bags?" he asked. He wanted to help her, but only if she wanted him to. He shook his head when she asked if they'd packed any food, then thought for a moment before speaking. "If you'd like, we can stop somewhere and eat before going home," he said. As he was speaking, his own stomach rumbled quietly, announcing that he, too, was hungry, and causing him to smile.

Fujiko nods quickly, rolling off the bags. She picks up two, holding them up to Jake for him to take before grabbing the other three. She looked around as he offered to get them food while they were out. "Will it still be quiet? It won't be too busy, will it?" She looked nervous, clearly uncomfortable with being surrounded.
As nervous as she seemed, she was making progress. The thought of food certainly helped her stay willing. She slowly looked around, before looking up at Jake for direction.

MiniUrsa Sorry for not responding sooner, I'd completely forgotten you replied sweatdrop Jake smiled a bit when Fujiko nodded, then took the bag she handed to him. He knew from her tone of voice when she spoke that she was still nervous, and he reassured her. "It's alright, Fujiko," he said, his voice gentle. "If you'd like, we can go through the drive-thru and order something, instead of going inside." He led her back to the car and opened the trunk, putting the bags he was carrying inside, then opened Fujiko's door for her and placed the bags she was carrying in the trunk, as well.

She calmed down as she heard his voice, looking down at the ground. As she moved to sit in the car she heard him mention something about the food, pausing to hear him.
"A drive-through??" Fujiko was confused, but looked around in attempt to make sense of it. She saw a car lane driving specially by a restaurant window, and a figurative light bulb lit up. "Is that what that special road next to one of the restaurants is for?"

Jake smiled slightly as Fujiko calmed as she heard his voice, and he blinked when she asked what a drive-thru was, then asked if it was the special road next to one of the restaurants. "Aye, that's what a drive-thru is," he said. "Drive-thrus were created so that people that were in a hurry or didn't have a lot of time could order their food and pick it up without having to go inside the restaurant."
