Aphrodite – For a year now Moira has been posting three videos a week on Youtube about makeup. PERSONALITY

Juliet is generally a fairly soft-spoken and gentle person, though she has plenty of confidence when she needs to - like when teaching sometimes unruly high school students! She is very difficult to upset and is quick to forgive most offenses, and is also very much a closet romantic. She dreams of a better life for herself and a better world!

However, because she is soft-spoken and forgiving, she is also thoroughly manipulatable and a bit of a doormat. Unless she absolutely has to, she rarely stands up for herself; in her personal relationships she will let most anything go. Her romanticism also tends to mean she can see the world with rose-colored glasses; she likes to believe the best in people even when they have fairly obviously displayed that they aren't nearly as good as she wants them to be.

Juliet was chosen by Demeter because she shows a deep love for the natural world. She maintains a garden with her students in a small courtyard at the school where she teaches, and she helps maintain a community garden for her apartment complex, besides keeping lots of plants in her apartment. APPEARANCE
Not especially tall, but solidly built thanks to a life of labor and strife, Davor can be rather intimidating at first blush thanks to his often stone-faced expression and a conspicuous scar splitting his lips, along with many more unseen but easy to imagine on such a rough-looking guy. And yet, his blue eyes are surprisingly soft, hooded in weary contemplation that speaks more for someone who's had bad luck as opposed to gone looking for trouble. His black hair is short, often tousled, and the only real apparent effort he puts into his appearance is keeping his beard trimmed at least. Otherwise, he tends to dress like he just came in from an outdoor excursion, often wearing boots, a ragged old red scarf he can't seem to let go, and heavy coats that hang from his shoulders or loose layers in dark colors that do well to hide his residual limb.

Ah, yeah. Davor's left arm as been amputated, just below the elbow. Despite having a variety of prosthesis he can use, he prefers to go without unless he's going to be working or put in a situation he may very well need the use of both hands. Otherwise, he does his best to keep his disability hidden and as inconspicuous as possible, still self-conscious of needing to use prostheses.

PERSONALITY

• [+]Selfless: The kind of guy who would give you the shirt right off his back, as the saying goes, Davor is always looking out for others, even and especially complete strangers. It's a compulsion, somehow -- he can't stand to see anyone struggling, immediately going out of his way to help and care for others when given the opportunity. He doesn't need a longtime bond to feel the need to protect someone, either, known to put himself in difficult or dangerous situations if it means alleviating someone else's trouble. Davor tries his best to be as noble and compassionate as possible, placing great faith in the concept of altruism.
  
• [-]Guarded: Ironically, despite how much he holds up the ideal, Davor... doesn't really expect nor want any concern shown back at him. He bottles up his emotions, appearing always stoic and composed even when he's anything but, loath to ask for help or admit his own problems to anyone, no matter how close. This has, predictably, led to the breakdown of more than a few relationships, as Davor's tendency to withdraw without a hint of something wrong causes misunderstanding after misunderstanding he simply can't find it in himself to communicate. He has this irrational hatred of being pitied, and would rather suffer in silence than bear that thought.
  
  
• [+]Humble: For all the good that he does, Davor will always downplay himself and his achievements. He's not one to brag, demand acknowledgement, or even particularly desire or enjoy attention, quick to deflect praise even as he speaks of highly of others in the same breath. He seems content to live simply and predictably, sensible of his shortcomings and realistic about his prospects. You wouldn't even know he came from a wealthy, privileged background unless he told you and, well, he's not likely to tell. Never does he want anyone else to feel as small as he feels.
  
• [-]Passive: But actually, yes, despite being realistic that he likely won't achieve any great things and being okay with that, this can... sometimes bleed into a lack of ambition that makes itself very clear once Davor needs to make decisions. He can't. He doubts himself constantly, and is more keen to follow others' actions, opinions, and have choices made for him. Not all choices, mind -- he'll make his own if he dislikes something enough to speak, finds himself alone, or especially affected by something -- but Davor left to his own devices can and will turn into a complete hermit. Better someone else gives him a purpose if he can't think of one himself, right?
  
  
• [+]Open-minded: Having had a rather storied past, Davor has run into people from all walks of life, and has always kept an open mind about the situations he, and others, end up in. He is not one to judge a book by its cover, so to speak, treating everyone with equal dignity and respect while never really expecting the same back. He does not (usually) purposefully snub authority, but he is not one to ingratiate himself to others, either. Davor is always willing to listen to every side of a story, and seeks the good in others not everyone else can see, hating to make enemies and therefore always open to forgiveness and second chances. And third. And...
  
• [-]Stubborn: Despite how wishy-washy he can be, once Davor gets into something, he's likely set. It doesn't matter how often he gets burned, literally or figuratively; Davor does not like to give up on anyone or anything. His open-mindedness can, unfortunately, work against him as he turns a blind eye to any problematic or hurtful aspects of his new causes and relationships, especially if he's the one getting the brunt of it. Once again, Davor doesn't like to admit when he's struggling himself, and will likely deny, deny, deny there's anything wrong when, to everyone else, there very clearly is.

DEITY
Like Hephaestus, Davor knows what it's like to feel cast out and defined by disability, even if part of that perception is his own injured self-image. He was always rather aimless and unambitious before his loss, which is a shame, as it turns out Davor rather has a knack for picking up technologies he never had access to before.

Having been especially affected by the sight of children having to attend physical therapy alongside injured old veterans like himself, he's joined a local chapter of a volunteer group dedicated to designing, building, and supplying 3D-printed prostheses to those who can't afford the more advanced, and therefore more expensive, kinds.

However, he's also begun attending the local university for more than just borrowing their 3D printer, studying and excelling in the more advanced fields of orthotics and prosthetics, particularly interested in robotics. He has the advantage of being able to test drive his designs on himself, which is helpful...!

Oh man I am super excite.

Tour guide for a Chinese company focused on Yellowstone National Park and nearby landmarks in Montana and Wyoming.

APPEARANCE
Songtao Zheng is a small and slender woman of Han Chinese extract, with long brown-black hair and brown-black eyes to match. She pulls her hair back in a severe chignon that, especially in combination with her large glasses, do no favors to her face. (She tried short hair once, just made her look "cute", which she loathed with the flames of a thousand suns.) Her chin is on the squarish side, and her nose is fairly small and flat.

She is, somewhat surprisingly, reasonably okay with her looks and does little to alter them. Song generally wears a socially mandated minimum of "natural" makeup (bb cream, mascara, eyeliner that no one can see, lipstick), and stud earrings to match her outfit. Much like her general demeanor, off the clock she dressed casually in loose tops, particularly cable knit sweaters, and jeans with flats. Song kind of loves being able to wear jeans all the time in America, not gonna lie.


PERSONALITY
Off the clock, Songtao can be summarized as [+]cool, [+]collected and, [–]super bitchy omg. At least, for the most part, she is indifferent until someone goes out of their way to elicit a [–]snarky reaction from her. She can even be considered a bit two-faced, since Song has her xiaojie personality, one that anyone who's ever worked in retail might recognize, and her actual self. (Xiaojie is Chinese for "young lady" or "miss", and is used colloquially in reference to young, unmarried women working service jobs.) Xiaojie Songtao is super perky and polite, always happy to help! Of course you're not bothering her at 2am wondering when the deer turn into elk! She loves her soul-crushing job serving rich idiots hand and foot! The moment she's off the clock, hell, the moment she turns away, Song is, practically and for all purposes, a different person. A different person who is probably smoking a cigarette with an impassive expression.

Really, Songtao is just 100% done with trying to do the whole "treat others the way you wants to be treated" golden rule bullshit. She generally assumes that most people are jerks ([-] pessimist), which I'm sure has nooothing do to with working in the service industry. She wants out as soon as she can, but she is grinding her way through because she is on a mission ([+]determined). Songtao wants to go to university; she wants to study her passions, instead of shuffling through life from paycheck to paycheck; she wants to break ground in sustainability and environmental science back home. As embittered as she is, she is also paradoxically hopeful about this.

The only things that keep her sane are her private study time and chain smoking. She's done a lot reading in the sparse spare time she has, and has basically consumed the recommended course reading for a handful of PhD programs, and comprehended the material, so she is definitely [+]smart. However, she grew up in the Sichuan countryside, and even by Chinese standards, she's no Miss Manners ([-]uncouth). Things have improved since she moved to the US, especially since it's more acceptable for women to be blunt and direct about what they say. However, things haven't improved so much that she doesn't miss important social cues on a regular basis.

Furthermore, she is deeply [–]conflicted about being the daughter of a poor farming family. Any hint of shade being thrown her way will infuriate her, usually resulting in one of a few reactions: her making a laundry list of every flaw of the offending party; a similar laundry list of how inferior Americans are, or laundry list number three, everything she's had to do to get where she is while the offending party just had their life handed to them by Uncle Sam. ([–] defensive)

DEITY Demeter
Like many of the Chosen, a lot of Songtao's appeal lies in her potential and zealousness about her cause. There's also a great deal to be said about her willingness to kick a**. (She has words for Demeter about their weapons. WORDS.) She already done a great deal of research into sustainability in environmentally improverished mountainous regions of China, and is poised to do great works as soon as she has the power of a college degree behind her.

APPEARANCE
5’7’’and mainly legs, Lex is slender and narrowed shoulder, toned from a mix of dance classes and yoga. Lex has medium short white blonde curly hair that has a lot of volume and a tendency to frizz uncontrollably during the worse of the summer heat. With complete heterochromia iridum, right eye is gray, and left eye is pale blue, an inverted triangle shape face ending with a gently pointed chin, and the slightest point to his ears, there is a bit of an etheric quality hanging about. Very fair skin, they tend to wear a lot of sun screen and wide brim hats, and odd colored shades.
Their wardrobe is variable mix of slinky vintage style dresses, in a variety of gem tone and metallic, jeans, graphic t-shirts, button downs, and various jackets. They like pendent jewelry, pinky rings, and unique stud earrings. Make up is casual, usually a quick gloss, eye shadow, liner, and nail polish at the most. Shoes range from sneakers, to boots, to three inch heels if they are feeling particularly fancy, usually to be swapped out with ballet flats later on.
Lex sense of fashion is variable but keeps to colors that look good against fair skin and pale hair. They really like lavenders, greys, and blues.
Piercings, he has a lot, belly button, single in both lobes, three in left cartilage, and a single dermal at the corner of his right eye.

PERSONALITY
Lex has a lot of energy, it bubbles over in his speak patterns and gestures. He is a very emotive person, and tactile. He likes to touch things, and can be a bit much, since he tends to casually drape himself over friends and loves ones. Low threshold for boredom, they like to keep busy and when bored, everyone will know.
They are very self-confident, with a love for attention and a tendency to seek new experiences. They are not good at saving, tending to over spend impulsively on whatever catchers their attention. But it was pretty tends to be a constant excuses.
They are certainly a tad hedonistic, they love parties, drinking games, and the sensual pleasures both great and small. Massages, pedi-manis, facials, sensual dancing with a stranger in a club. They love attention and can get a bit self-centered.

DEITY Hermes
Dionysus had an eye on the fun loving Lex, but Hermes was faster and underhanded. Lex is a minor thief, shoplifting small things such as nail polish and batteries and occasionally making off with something pricey, often stolen away from a drunken party goer. He is a skilled conversationalist, using his tarot deck to predict his observations, a mix of entertainment and a way to get free drinks. A true believer in luck and chance, Lex drives ahead into games often managing to break even if not a bit ahead.
