APPEARANCE Ewan stands at 5'8" and has a fairly slim build, but he has a lot of upper-body strength. His hands are strong, forearms corded, and he looks as though he does put in a lot of physical movement every day; being a CO means he does have to haul people around, and sometimes physically. He has dark hair and deep-set dark eyes under thick brows, usually a bit of a beard/five-o-clock shadow, and an intense mouth that's a bit too big for his face. When he smiles, his whole face lights up, and while it is handsome it verges on a bit -- off, somehow. And maybe not just because it's sort of crooked.
He is normally seen in his CO uniform [dark fatigues] or in cleverly distressed jeans and a teeshirt of some kind. When not working he plays the guitar and has an ear for music, though he's by no means professional. It's not uncommon for him to have a pair of earbuds dangling out of his back pocket, or some bigger, more expensive headphones around his neck when he's off duty.

Ewan seems to have taken his father's black and white, wrong versus right, justice versus chaos view to heart. He excels in highly structured environments and seems more comfortable in them -- he likes patterns, likes consistency, likes the orderly, rhythmic routines of life, and finds that they echo nicely in music. His favorite genre of music is metal, particularly death metal, especially since it often has odd time signatures.
He is a good judge of people's character and a good listener, and able to diligently follow tasks through to the end. Not a bad friend or an evil person, Ewan is just a little more intensely focused than other people, to the point that he comes off as a little scary when he's totally in his zone.
