Kal flicked his dark ears slightly as he peered over his recent batch of goods that had been brought in. His Paroo was perched a distance away holding something in one of it's paws. When it moved the right way it almost seemed to glimmer. Kal paid it no mind and with a quill and parchment floating beside him, ready to take notes, he began to count over his goods to ensure everything was in order. As he counted the quill scribbled and swayed as he opened crates and shifted through some of the finery. Everything was looking to be in order, at least that was until he opened one of the crates and found rocks weighted inside instead of the armor he had traded one of his prized possessions for. He had meant it to be a gift to their Lord, but it seemed to him that someone had gotten some sticky paws.

His lip curled and the Paroo gave a growl with it's masters sudden change of mood. The quill and parchment was set down and he raked his mind for who had helped him load the cargo that day. He had been aware of the other merchants that had been nearby but none had really stuck out to him. Squinting his eyes as if to help him think better he let out a growl and dug his claws into the hard surface of the ground. Where was the last place he had stopped? He knew that there had been a spot just outside the territory that he had paused for a time to rest the Floofalo that was pulling the load. He had been fortunate enough to trade some things to get it. There were some fools that had been lingering around the outskirts, which wasn't uncommon and he had thought he had kept a decent eye on them. It must have been one of them that had taken his wares. Realizing the time however he was going to have to wait. With another growl he curled his lip and then took in a deep breath and allowed himself to relax. He would stay calm, at least until he had the sorry mongrel by their throat.

They would rue the day they stole from him. If he could track down the one who had taken it.

That was what was going to be the issue. However he was going to have to wait until evening fell since dawn was beginning to creep on the horizon. With a grumble he lead the Floofalo towards his day location. His Bolf chattered above him as it flew ahead and perched itself somewhere out of sight. Making sure everything was secure and the Floofalo well attended he gave a nod of his head and entered into his sleeping quarters, the Paroo close behind him and he laid down with nothing but thoughts of what he would do to the one who had stolen from him.

She had woken with a start early that morning and had set out as the sun was just barely coming across the horizon. She couldn't help but love the way the wind felt against her as she soared high above the world below her. It was an exhilarating feeling that she couldn't give words.

Kei was a free spirit, she lived for the freedom flight gave to her and used it to travel as much as she could. It was a part of her core and doubted she'd ever love anything as much as she did the feeling that was consuming her as she allowed the breeze to carry her higher.

She wasn't one to forge a path somewhere, she often just allowed the wind to carry her or guide her since it wasn't always windy. Despite her free spirited traveling she was very strong willed and level minded. Once she had her mind set about something it would take a miracle for her to change her mind. She is loyal to a fault as well, though she didn't have many friends as she wasn't one to let others get too close. The only exception would be Harlock, but he was just as spirited as her and drifted just as much so they weren't often in the same place unless they had a common goal in mind. She would stick around when he needed her to, but beyond that she sort of did her own thing.

It was still early when he awoke but that was okay. The suns light never ventured into the cave and he wasn't planning on stepping outside until darkness had fallen. Stretching him massive wings behind him the Merchant stood up and shook his hefty frame, eyes peering around as he decided to check over inventory once more. Frowning when he came to the missing armor he couldn't help but grit his teeth and extend his claws and slash them across one of the large crates, incisions leaving their mark upon it's rough surface forever.

If he didn't calm down he'd end up killing the wretch that had stolen from him and he wouldn't lose a wink of sleep over it either. Swishing his tail behind him in an agitated manner he continued with his inventory and started making a list of things for him to set up for sales later. While they were mostly active at night they did get some visitors from neighboring tribes so he always like to have things set up well before anyone would likely be coming around. You never knew with those from outside the tribe. Focusing his mind on those smaller tasks his anger dissipated and he was once again calm and collected.

As the day grew on she figured she'd find a place to call 'home' for the night and she was closer to the dark territory than she was anywhere else and figured she might be able to rest there for the night. Giving a strong flap of her wings she landed on the outskirts of the cave systems and looked around. She didn't see anyone and wondered if perhaps they had guards inside? Though none of the tribes were at war with each other really so she didn't really see why they would need any if they did have some. It was just a thought that crossed her mind.

Her ears twisted slightly, had she heard someone? Blinking she tossed her hair slightly from her face and walked forward. She would meet them head on.

Finally finishing the inventory he rolled his shoulders and looked around. It was about that time. The sun would have been set or almost set at this point and he figured he could at least go check out the outskirts. See if that miserable wretch was still in the area.

If they were smart they wouldn't be. But that would mean he'd have to search them out and he wasn't exactly wanting to do that at the moment. Curling his lip in a snarl he shook his head.

Curses. Letting out a huff he set the quill and parchment down and made his way towards the entrance where he had come in recently.

The wind brought the scent of someone unfamiliar to him and he paused slightly and inhaled it for a moment. This was going to be interesting. Looking as they came into view he realized it was a rather bright colored Nan from the wind tribe.

"You're far off from home." He said looking her over, taking careful notice of her skull necklace.

She turned her gaze towards him and laughed. "Are you concerned about my safety?" She questioned him with a raised brow, she was more than capable of taking care of herself. She didn't need some Tah looking out for her.

"And besides, maybe my home isn't where you think it is." She added with a sly grin. Why did it matter if she was far off from her tribes lands, perhaps she was a person of great interest to the dark tribe. She was fairly certain he wouldn't know if she was or wasn't.

He had a new feel about him. "What are you doing out here? Lose something?" She was just jesting with him. it was beyond her that someone had actually stolen something from him.

He could tell she was capable enough to handle her own, at least she appeared to be. She wasn't as light hearted and joyful as some of the wind members had shown to be. Which was actually a relief to him currently since he wasn't in the mood to deal with colorful personalities right now. "Just making an observation."

He stated rather curtly. Letting out a light breath he didn't really have the time to get into a conversation with her but her final words stole his attention. Did she know something? Turning his gaze upon her own he wondered if perhaps she had just been guessing but it wouldn't hurt to ask.

"Possibly, do you know something?" He watched her carefully, while she hadn't been the one to steal from him it could very well be possible she was in on it? He wasn't an overly cautious Balam but he also wasn't stupid.

She laughed, so he had lost something, her instincts were typically correct when it came to such matters. "I might have seen something that seen suspicious but I wouldn't say I know anything." She said watching him carefully. He looked like he was about to jump down her throat, though she quite liked that about the dark male.

He gave a growl, was she toying with him. Digging his claws into the hard earth he narrowed his gaze slightly, while she might not have been the one to cross him he was starting to grow tired of this little game she was playing. "If you're not going to be of any help then I suggest you carry on." He said shoving by her as he went in search of the sticky pawed scoundrel that had taken his wares.

- - -
She let out a laugh then. My was he serious. "If you're going to be such a grump about it, here. I think this belongs to you." She said shaking her head as she gave a little bit of a skip hop over towards some boulders not to far away. While she hadn't exactly KNOWN who it belonged to, who she had taken it from was definitely NOT it's owner. And the way this male acted sort of gave away what it was he was doing out here.

Grabbing a leather bound object she pulled the heavy package from it's stash and drug it too his feet. "If I'm wrong please feel free to just leave it, since I would like to return it to whomever it belongs to."
- - -
He let out a huff and was about to question her but then watched as she pulled out a package. His anger dissipated and he looked at her and then unbound the object, the armor glinting back at him and he let out a small sigh of relief. He wouldn't have to kill someone after all.

After re wrapping it he looked towards her and gave a small bow. "It would seem I am in your dept My Lady."
