The doe was on the hunt for food again. But she doesn't mind it too much. She enjoyed every aspect, from the stalking, to the waiting, to the pouncing, and of course the eating, right down to the very bone. But sometimes she makes mistakes, ends up hunting something or someone else without realizing it. The tracks she's been following are unfamiliar to the kimeti, and this became less a hunt for food and more a hunt for knowledge.

It was a great day to eat. Worms were rare here in the swamp, but they were big, they were usually cuddly, and they were soft. Better yet, this one here was dead– and that made it free game.
It had a strange sort of reek to it– and it lived by eating carrion, which the buck had been taught could make him sick if he wasn't careful. But one other thing the corpse was attracting were scavengers, and Toxin knew exactly what to do with those.
In the free-for all, he managed to net himself a number of smaller bugs, and a giant wasp whose head he'd effectively stamped in. He set himself down a way's away, and upwind, of the thing, before starting to settle into his meal, keeping an eye out for any other potential critters he could capitalize on.
For now, it was enough to watch the faint, blurry flurries of movement as the thing was swarmed over.
Huni Pi It's perfectly okay! They're great prompts. Hope this isn't too gross!

Picked Clean was not exactly sheltered but her interaction with other kin was severely limited to other kimeti. Oh she knew of the other races that lived in the swamp but all knowledge was from someone else's accounts. Still, when her hunt led her to a free-for-all of skittering morsels, the bone-marked doe had to be careful and give her surroundings a better look-over. She breathed in deep, carefully sifting through the myriad of scents downwind brought to her nose. There was an unusual smell, well, unusual in that she'd never scented it before. She looked torn, however, between gorging on the carrion and critters and investigating. Ishtadaal No prob with the gross factor XD

Ah! And there was something big coming in to pick at things. At first, he wondered if it wasn't a wolf or eaglehound– the shape was long-legged, but the tail was wrong and the shape was...
...was kimeti. Unmistakeably, once he could make it out from the underbrush. "There's plenty to share. Take your fill, or if you're squeamish, come share some of mine– it's clean!" he invited, noting the stranger's apparent hesitance.
Certainly, if they were stalking something on the corpse, he wouldn't startle it– there wasn't another mammal in sight than the two of them, only insects, for the time being.
