I need a new one to watch. I prefer slice of life and romance stuff at the moment, but I'm open to almost anything.

No slice of life or romance here but if there's one anime everyone has got to see at least once (in my opinion) would be Attack on Titan. So in love with this anime.
And One punch man if you want a laugh.

I will have to say, I believe those genres are total opposite of what I usually watch. lol! But my daughter is kinda into the slice of life ones. She's been into Your Lie in April (watched it twice practically back to back). Haikyu!! Free.
She also just watched Fruits Baskets and, like I, wish there was another season. And I'm not sure if this counts, but The Devil is a Part-Timer.
Romantic also not a big genre for me. If Ouran Host Club and Rosario + Vampire count, then I recommend them.

If you want a funny slice of life anime I would definitely recommend Watamote. One of my favourites. 3nodding
If you want something a bit more serious check out the Monogatari series, starting with Bakemonogatari.
