I've been reading about cases where underage girls who posted and sent naked pictures of themselves got charge with child pornography offenses.
So I was wondering....

How many of you have done this?

Do you think it's fair to punish them? If so, what kind of punishment?

Also... PSA:: Don't send naked pictures. They never go away and they are never really private.

I did it once.... But I cropped everything identifiable out... I regret it though.

Hmm nope I was very careful about that because ever since I entered middle school, my mentality was, "I don't want to miss a job opportunity because of this." The "best" I've done is a bikini and a different bra shot, and both were after I was of age.

I think it's common sense to not send n***s, especially if you are underage and the person receiving it isn't. I think it should be enforced after a couple of aired government-sponsored advertisements making sure that kiddos are aware of ALL of the consequences.

I agree... But it seems everyone does it.
I watched someone argue over this a few days ago and the girl claimed it was fine because "they were just expressing themselves and loving thier bodies"
Lol
Stupidest reason ever XD

Due to some bad experiences pretty early at life, I was easily manipulated to send men/boys pictures of my bodies.

Knowing true love and respect now, I think about those times in my life and they make me ill.

Do I think young girls should be charged with child pornography if sending THEIR own body pics? No. That's extreme - because most of them are just so lost this day and age. I sound super old, and I'm only about to be 24, but I feel like young girls now have no idea what respect is.

Nope. Never done that.
I think it's really a personal mistake. Everyone makes some huge mistakes sometimes.
I agree that the child should be held responsible for this, cuz the parent probably doesn't know. All the kid needs is really a well worded, and well thought out lecture about how once it's out there, that's a thing you can't take back. If that knowledge is there, then they'll probably feel bad about it in like a month or so and not do anymore.
If the knowledge isn't given, then...
But if it is, then I think your job is done. They make the choice of what to do with it.
Most kiddos just don't know the limits. TELL them the boundaries. And tell or show what happens when lines are crossed. Even add in your own experience to tell them the person they're looking to even makes mistakes.

I have, once. It was years ago to some guy in Europe. I was stupid and video chatted with this guy almost everyday. He told me he'd send me anything I wanted for my birthday, and just to send him the link to it. I picked this bra from VS and he bought it for me ($70 ... yikes). When I got it I sent him a photo of me in it, but cropped my room and face. I had no tattoos yet so no one could identify me...

I used to beat myself up about it but honestly I would own up to it if anything go out. The main thing I worry about is if he still has my address. I blocked him on all social media and email just incase he went psycho one day.

I don't think girls should get charged unless they're making a website or business out of it. I agree that the world is so messed up now and girls are so lost at a young age that sending a few pics to guys is "normal" unfortunately.

Poor world.... I agree it's super broken.
makes me cry that children are thinking they can take on the world when they don't even have a chance.
Also that parents of today don't impart the knowledge that the child needs. Or pressing the importantance of such knowledge.

Imparting knowledge is a key piece of parenting I think.

I try really hard too... But it seems the rest of the world tries to undo all the good things.
I've been thinking i want to move to a really rural area where it's not so crazy, but I'm sure even that wouldn't help.

Or move to an island!
They have Caribbean islands that will give you land for free as long as you build a house or garden on it.
It sounds so awesome!
