"Ahh, that's too bad." He nodded a little, meaning that it was too bad that she'd be lonely... Though, if she was with a chosen parent like Leukos said, would it be that bad? Then again Starlet supposed he wasn't the best at gauging that sort of thing - he'd spent most of his life alone. "Mmmm, nope, not a bit." He shook his head, then pushed himself up to sit and mimicked Leukos's positioning. "Yeah! I was gonna go check it out. See if it's cool." Another shrug to indicate that he really didn't... have much invested in the idea. Not because he didn't think it was a Good Thing, but he just... didn't have much in mind for the place when he got there.
"Have you been? I just wanted to see what it looked like. I dunno if I could stay there m'self, though..."

He listened carefully and frowned slightly as Starlet mentioned not having anyone. "..that must be lonely.." he muttered softy before blinking, "..uhh.. sorry." he apologized for saying something kind of insensitive like that. Moving on he seemed intent on the conversation as he spoke of Sanctuary. "I used to live there for a short time. It's okay. It's at least safe. I left to follow Melody, make sure she was okay. I also went with her to join a military based research facility called SIU. I'm supposed to go back too.. when I'm able to. But for now, only she can be there." he waved a hand dismissively. "You can actually get to the sanctuary from that path over there.." he motioned to a path in the distance that would eventually lead to the gates of the grounds. "Hey, maybe when you're done visiting there, you can come back here and hang out some more before you have to go... Unless you stay, that's pretty cool too.... there's a path behind the mansion that leads straight into Sanctuary, so we could hang out... if you wanted to, I mean.." he paused. Maybe he was making this awkward. He had just never met someone with similar interests as him besides Melody and he really wanted to be friends so badly it almost hurt. Only a little though.

"Only sometimes, but a little loneliness never killed anybody." He shrugged, seemingly not too bothered by it. Well. A little loneliness never killed - admittedly there were times things were hard but wasn't that true for everyone? "You're fine! Haha most people say somethin' like that." Or, ruder things, but he wasn't about to bring that up at all. No need to focus on the negative.
"Ooh... Research facility, huh...?" He tilted his head, tail flopping against the ground in thought. Weren't those mostly bad..? But she had gone there to be safe? Military and safe seemed like opposites to Starlet, but he wasn't about to point that out. "Well, that's good that its safe. Lots of not safe places out there, haha."
Starlet blinked at the mention of the path, turning his gaze off to see if he could spot it-- ah! Perfect. Now he didn't have to go all the way back to the road and risk walking into people again. "Ooh, that's useful!" He turned back to Leukos, head tilting slightly. He wanted to keep talking? A grin spread across his face as he nodded. "Sure! I'd love to. You're fun to talk with."

"I suppose not.." he retorted quietly as Starlet didn't seem offended by his comment. That was good. He liked him and didn't want to ruin this whole conversation with such a misstep.
"Yeah.. I mean, she and I were from a different research facility... they just took care of us and ran the occassional harmless test on us to understand different things. It was fine... She likes the one she's at now, so much she really wants to be adopted by the owner, but I don't think she's every said it out loud. "It's really not that bad... I honestly feel like she's safer there than anywhere else... so I'm not worried about it." he assured, his tail beginning to sway with a bit more excitement as he smiled at Starlet. "Yeah? I'm glad. I enjoy talking to you too." he spoke calmly and nodded, appearing to be happy with the answer he was given.

He quirked a brow, blinking as Leukos mentioned the other research facility... Did he even know what the tests were? "Harmless, huh?" He almost seemed skeptical- visually, at least. Despite the slight change in expression his tone remained lighthearted. "It's good she found such a safe place to go, then..~ Things are pretty chaotic out there. I dunno if you've traveled much..." He trailed off, eyes sliding off to the side as if to silently motion towards the rest of the world.
"Some places less so than others, but y'know, same ole same ole." He looked back to Leukos, smile returning to his face. "Oh good, I'm glad. I'm a bit rusty on the whole 'sit down and actually have a conversation' thing, haha."

He nodded in response, "Yeah, I've seen a lot of things out there... traveled a lot.. Things are constantly chaotic, I agree..." he sighed longingly, remembering his experiences when he had been with the renegades and when he was shortly with SIU. "I assume you've traveled a lot.." he mentioned, looking over the scorch marks of where Starlet has appeared and smirked a bit.
He chuckled, "Honestly, I spent most of my life around only that girl, so my interactions with others are still a little shaky too... So I understand." he then blinked with a certain slight surprise. "Oh right, I just got a cellphone with my last trip to pick up things... Do you have a cellphone too? Maybe we could exchange numbers and meet back up if you find Sanctuary too boring... then we could go travel and see all sorts of stuff. I know that sounds crazy, but I think I'll get too restless being here all by myself. I considered going on an adventure somewhere. See what I can before returning to SIU and to her..... and I'd like to have a travel buddy to talk to some time. It's up to you, you don't have to. Just a thought."

"Oh yeah, tons! Been allllll over the place. 'Cept Criel, couldn't pay me enough to go there." Starlet scrunched up his nose in an expression of disgust. He'd heard all too many terrible things about that place and from an early age and decided to avoid it as if it housed the plague itself. "Practice is still practice! I've spent most of my time solo." He shrugged, not seeming to mind that fact very much.
"Uhhhh...." He paused, thinking on the question Leukos had asked him... Did he? He patted at his shorts pockets, as if he couldn't remember what all he kept on him. After a moment he flopped back a little to wriggle a small phone out of one of his pockets, then held it up. "Aha! I thought I left it somewhere." He flashed Leukos a smile, then nodded. "I probably won't stay there very long, I gotta move around too." He spared a glance at the scorch trail, then back to Leukos. "But yeah! That's where I was goin'. Figured I could make it there tonight-- oh, wait... Most people sleep this time though huh.... they probably aren't even open." He clapped his hands together - still holding the phone - as the realization hit him.

Leukos couldn't help but laugh about his comment on Criel. Yeah, that seemed about right, even agreeing with him. Nodding, he listened for the moment until Starlet began to fish for his phone from his pockets. He blinked with a slight concern as Starlet flopped back but then he retrieved his phone and Leukos smiled.
Leukos made a noise of understanding, of course he'd want to keep moving. So he was just visiting for now. Reaching over carefully, he put his number into Starlet's phone then texted himself, and returned the phone to him. He pulled out his own from his pocket and showed the screen that display 1 New Text Message "Now I have your number too. So you can call me whenever you want.."
He paused as Starlet mentioned it being night time and that they may not even be open. "Well, the grounds are open, but I doubt anyone is in the main office right now since it's so late. If you need a place to stay for the night, you can sleep in the mansion I'm staying in. There's plenty of empty rooms that you can choose from, then you can go check out Sanctuary in the morning." he suggested, hoping that wasn't too weird to offer.
