Physical description: Arthur is a handsome young man with spiky, sand colored hair and bright blue eyes. At first glance he appears to be a bit on the scrawny side, but a closer look will reveal powerful, muscular arms from all of his explorations, as well as a healthy looking tan. He usually wears functional cargo pants and boots, along with a sleeveless zip up suit that reveals his strong arms. He is rarely seen without his signature goggles or tool belt.

Goal: To explore the ruins of the world, and unlock the mysteries that they hold.
Motivation: Arthur learned everything he knows from his caretaker and honorary uncle who passed away shortly before he became a gym leader. It was his uncle's dream to see all the ruins of the world and learn from them, and that love of history was passed down to his nephew, who deeply admired him.
Favored Pokémon: Arthur loves all Pokémon, but he especially favors ones that are related to ancient history. His favorite type is the rock type, and his main team consists of extinct Pokémon that he has revived from fossils found over his adventures.
Hobbies: Aside from exploring ruins, Arthur enjoys both rock climbing and surfing. He is known to take the time off to participate in the annual surfing contests held in Seussville every six months, and has managed to win on more than one occasion. He also enjoys reading and cooking.

Personality: Arthur is very friendly and outgoing, making it easy for him to make friends. He has a very laid back personality but can be serious when the situation calls for it, such as during a battle or emergency. He has a very sharp mind as well as instincts, both which have been honed during his explorations. His love of history and ruins can get the better of him at times though, often leading to long lectures and rants whenever the topic is brought up. He also has a monstrous appetite, usually eating enough food for ten people in one sitting. Oddly enough though, he never seems to gain any weight...
Personal Skills: Arthur is very talented when it comes to mind games such as puzzles and riddles. He's also very athletic, being both a skilled rock climber and surfer. Not being a stranger to dangerous situations, Arthur is also an experienced street fighter and master knife thrower.
Family: Arthur has a pair of loving parents, both of them researchers. Though their work often keeps them too busy to visit, they communicate regularly with their son via phone calls and e-mail.
Hometown: Redwall City.
Biography: Since Arthur was a small child, he never got to spend much time with his parents. His mother and father both being big shot Pokémon researchers, they were constantly traveling overseas for their work and had little time to care for their son.
Arthur grew up as a child under the care of his parent's close friend, Reginald Cross, who was both a famous archeologist as well as the original gym leader of the Redwall City Pokémon gym. A grumpy old man with no other family left, Reginald had a hard time adjusting to living with and raising a child, especially one as spoiled as Arthur was at the time. The two would bicker quite often, but over time they both realized that they had many things in common, and learned to accept one another.
Reginald (Or Uncle Reggie as Arthur started calling him) taught Arthur just about everything he knew about both Pokémon and archeology. He taught him how to battle, cook, and even to how to climb. He taught him all about the mysteries of the past, as well as the paths he'd have to choose from in the future. Arthur soaked up his words of knowledge like a sponge, and their bond continued to grow even closer every day.
As he grew up, Arthur displayed great talent as a trainer, specializing in rock type Pokémon just like his uncle. He had also learned a great deal about Pokémon history, and was constantly helping Reggie with his research, often helping out with the fieldwork or going over theories with him. As the years went by however, Arthur began to notice that his uncle was starting to a move a little slower than usual in his old age, and wasn't eating quite as much as he used to...
Finally, a little after Arthur had turned twenty, Reggie finally gave in to his old age and passed away; but not before leaving his two most prized possessions with his nephew: The goggles he had bought when he first became a Pokémon trainer, and the Pokémon gym that he was so proud of. Having no trouble in passing the Pokémon League Federation's gym leader qualification exam, Arthur was appointed as the second gym leader of Redwall City, and has continued to train himself and his Pokémon while balancing both his duties as a gym leader as well an archaeologist.
