The Zoran Empire is a land far off from most civilizations. It has been around for centuries and has quite the population, in fact its population as of now is that of 3 million. Most of which, live in the capital city, Raga'a. Zoran's geography is rather varied, as one can find arid steppes in the north, a fertile belt from east to west and a forested mountain area in the far south. The majority of animals/livestock that is known to come from Zoran are rather rare and can only be found there, which is why many of the world's wealthiest nations try and set up trade routes within and outside of the Empire. Zoran is known for three things in particular. First is its, one of a kind and highly sought after, Phantom Wolf pelts. The phantom wolf is an extremely rare and elusive 3 foot tall jet black, wolf that is only found within the borders of Zoran, more specifically in a small region known as the Dark Plains. The second thing that the empire is known for is its, Blue Fire rose, which can only be grown in the soil within Zoran. The Blue Fire Rose, as it's name suggests, is a rose formed out of a beautiful blueish flame. Somehow, the people of Zoran managed to produce a flame that can remain lit for all times. It is said that the Rose is a very powerful healing herb. The third and final thing that is grown in the Empire, and probably the most rare is the Fruit of Desire. The Fruit of Desire is extremely rare and is only found within the capital city, Raga'a , many people have fought and killed just to taste it. The Fruit of Desire, is a dazzling dark blue, star shaped fruit with bright red points at it's tips. It is coveted as one of the most delicious and beautiful fruits in the world.
The Zoran Empire is composed of several hundred islands. The two largest islands are Lux Island and Ater Island, where the capital itself, is located. On those two islands, there are at least three volcanoes, one is located on Ater Island, while the other two are on Lux Island. Located through out the rest of the islands are countless mountains and lakes. Roughly 75 percent of the island is covered in plains, most located along the seacoast. Ordo Plain is the largest, which is where Raga'a is located, spanning about 6,500 square miles. Raga'a, itself was built between a very large and very powerful volcano, which is dormant, and a great and wondrous lake, on a very wide and massive plain between the two. The Lake leads to an even greater and big waterfall, which is said to have been created from a technique used by the first King of Raga'a.
In order to promote order and peace, the rulers of the Zoran Empire established and enforced nine laws that must be upheld.
First Law - This law was made for minor thievery, breaking and entry, trespassing, public intoxication and destruction of property. Those found guilty of those crimes are subject to paying a fine, facing imprisonment in the holding cells for about a week or two and doing community service.
Second Law - This law was made for minor assault, Prostitution, major thievery and possession of illegal equipment and otherwise forbidden things. If they are found guilty, they will face prison time for a few months and the illegal things taken away.
Third Law - This is a law for some of the more serious lesser laws including Shoplifting, Gambling, Possessing Stolen property, Arson and Extortion. Those found guilty of this crime are subject for a few days within a holding cells. Should the perpetrator continue said behavior the punishment will be increased.
Fourth Law - Vandalism, False imprisonment by a official, Possession of Harmful Drugs and illegal contraband. Those convicted of this are subject to minor imprisonment for a month or two or paying a medium size fine. If the person is found guilty again for a crime from this law they are treated like they have done a crime for the Sixth Law.
Fifth Law - For the middle point there are laws such as Manslaughter, Mayhem, Stealing Harmful Drugs, Offences against other people's religion and Alienation of affections. If found guilty of this law people are subject to being imprisoned for 5-10 years or banishment from the Empire.
Sixth Law - Murdering a civilian, Kidnapping people, Giving harmful drugs to kids, Fraud, Blackmailing and cheating during events such as combat, sports or etc. The punishment for this crime is paying a much larger fine or the empire will seize all your possessions and send you to prison for a minimum of 20 years.
Seventh Law - This is a third most brutal law being made for those who kills a Knight, Disrespecting the Ruler's images or statues, Murder of children, Forgery and People found guilty of this law depending on how bad it is, will be given prison time for 20 years and will be Subject to Death-matches or possibly execution.
Eighth Law - This is the second most extreme law, this is for sexual assault, Assault upon children, murdering a higher-up officer, corporate espionage and stealing from the empire's funds. This can be subject to multiple punishments including a public executions, Subject to Death matches, extremely long period in prison or losing one of their (major) limbs such as a arm or a leg.
Ninth Law - Anyone whom is a threat to the empire within it's borders, Attempt of Assassination on the Emperor, entering the Palace without official permission or found guilty of treachery is to be handled with the most extreme punishments imaginable. Either execution-based punishments or life sentence in prison.
