For those of you who don't know, I work for a recreation department, playing games with kids and making crafts with them. When there aren't any kids, or I'm stuck in the office, I like to read books.
Last summer, I ended up going through several books per week, and I'm currently looking for some books for this summer.
If I pick your recommendation, I'll let you know what I think about it!

On slow days, I manage to read like 900 pages a day. I think it's safe to say I'm looking for a long read lol.

Lesse, series I could recommend, cause apparently I don't read one shot books that often....
Riftwar Saga by Raymond E Feist (for high fantasy) Landover Series by Terry Brooks (for a fun read) Shannarra Series by Terry Brooks Anything by Anne McCaffery Xanth series by Piers Anthony A Song of Fire and Ice by George R R Martin Galactic Milieu Series by Julian May
Those are off the top of my head, I'm pretty sure I can think of others orz
Station Eleven (post apocalypse musicians, shakespeare, strong female characters NEED I SAY MORE) The Circle (basically what if google is evil not the best written book ever but I thought it was fun, good thriller) Delicious Foods (WARNING VERY DARK takes place in the Deep South, kid trying to find his mom, who's working on a farm that sells 'delicious foods) One Plus One (by the same author as Me Before You, single mom, emo son, genius daughter, giant dog, sketchy dude, road trip, romance) The Thinking Woman's Guide to Real Magic (fantasy, dark, fun, Narnia gone wrong, grumpy wizards, badass female wizards) The Scandalous Sisterhood of Prickwillow Palace (young adult, Victorian shenanigans, cunning girls at boarding school, dead bodies, poison, MURDERRRR) Love Letters to the Dead (teen angst but well done teen angst) Swamplandia! (GATORS, CREEPY THEME PARKS, MORE GATORS, GHOSTS, SIBLINGS FIGHTING FOR EACH OTHER) The Last Kind Words (not for everyone, 'homecoming' story, kind of a murder mystery, why do bad people do bad things, family full of bad people trying not to be bad)

The only thing about series, is that if they're being written still, once you catch up, it's hell waiting. orz
I actually have the first book in A Song of Fire and Ice somewhere...

Bruh o3o
Station Eleven sounds AWESOME. Also Narnia is like one of my favorite series ever. Like when I was little I would stay up late reading them under the covers. Also murder. Yes.

The DiscWorld series by Terry Pratchett is awesome. I love re-reading "The Hogsfather" every Christmas. Plus "Night Watch" and "Thud" are awesome books. Though I feel as if I need to suggest any book featuring Rincewind the inept "Wizzard" since we are in a Hogwarts guild. 4laugh
