Blume Town is a peaceful little town far away from any big cities. Because of this, it is completely free from pollution, allowing all kinds of beautiful plant life to grow freely, which in turn attracts many kinds of Pokémon to the area. Located in Blume Town is Professor Hemlock's Pokémon Research Laboratory, where beginning trainers come to receive their starter Pokémon to begin their journeys throughout the region. Because of this, Blume Town is affectionately referred to as the Town of Beginnings.
