 Irene was in her kitchen at the main house, the entire house was in a whirl of activity, Irene herself was standing mixing cake mix to make yellow cake, that she intended to top with strawberries and whip cream. Irene smiled her birthday was coming soon, so of course, she was having a party for everyone on the island to enjoy. She also needed to get one of her followers to make invitations to send to the other gods. Irene pouted she should invite the evil gods to be polite but the idea of the fae goddess showing up wasn't a fun idea in her book. Irene bit her lip thinking, she had so much to do, and figuring out who she was, was also important, so she could better protect her followers. She was the goddess of summer, and she felt like the goddess of parties. Perhaps that was truly what was right for her and she should deny it.

Taeng poked her head in the room, Sandia sitting quite happily on her shoulder.

Irene smiled "I would love help, thanks. Taeng, do you want to work on the fruit salad or start decorating??" Irene continued working on the cake and then put the batter into two cake pans to start the first of many cakes. So she would have enough cakes for however many guests arrived for the party that was to start in a couple of days. Irene was excited about her birthday. "So have you been enjoying your time here on the island??" Irene asked Taeng.

"I think," Taeng said, "fruit salad."
She was, after all, the Demi Goddess of Fruit. Who better for the job?
"I love the island," Taeng said, letting out a happy sigh. "It's always bright and sunny during the day and at night we have a full moon and a sky full of star--HEY!"
Sandia had ran off with a piece of fruit she was going to use the knife on. Cheeky little raccoon.

Irene smiled and said "That's great, you do that while I finish up the cakes." Irene said as she put the cakes in the oven and set the timer. Irene grinned she really loved the home she had set up for her followers and was happy to hear when they were happy. Irene laughed at Taeng's cheeky sidekick stealing fruit. "I guess Sandia is hungry." Irene giggled

"Knock knock!" Aimee fluttered into the room without waiting for an answer. "Oh, that looks good already! Can we do anything to help?" She gestured behind her, where Dylan was just entering at his own, more leisurely pace, and Sharona was standing at the door, deliberating on whether or not to bring her surfboard in or leave it leaning beside the door outside.

Irene smiled and said "Welcome guys, sure decorating, making more food!! Drinks!! It's Party time crew!!" She laughed happily, excited about her birthday, the day she had become a goddess. She was so happy about having her followers and her special faeries, Irene's world was really coming together and it made her super cheerful as the world was leaving the chill of spring behind. It was clearly party time!!
