- Nova possesses above average intelligence, even for that of her own race. She graduated top of her class from Bostrum Academy. Although she possesses no fighting skills, or anything relating to any kind of weaponry use, her ability to problem solve peacefully is widely acknowledged.
Beyond areas pertaining to work and study, Nova possesses a talent for dancing and music, though those outside of her own friends and family back on Cerus rarely find this out about her.
➳ How do they act?
- Nova is a kind soul, with a strong work ethic. Although her care for her job and professionalism can make her come across as being uptight and boring, those close to her have seen that she can be otherwise. In addition, she agrees strongly with her people's views on pacifism. She has never been known to raise a hand to anyone, and has a knack for dispelling arguments. Though she can almost always keep her cool (infuriatingly well, in the eyes of the Humans), she can be pushed to annoyance on occasion. Even then, she will always leave a conversation before letting it result in shouting or arguing. Anything more than a brief dispute is nearly unheard of.
➳ What's their backstory?
- Nouvena Volaires is a native Escala. She lived on Cerus most of her life, and for the majority of her teenage years intended to complete her studies in science at Seren Academy. However, due to her high intelligence for her age group, she was offered a near full ride to attend Bostrum Academy on Earth. After some deliberation, she accepted the offer, leaving her home to study science on an a planet alien to her. Some time into her studies, she took an interest in the organization Genesis, and added Business Administration into her studies, hoping to have a wider range of skills to help her pursue a career with the organization.
When it came time for her to graduate, she came out top of her class, and quickly set to sending in her application for a position at the Genesis research facility. This process was made much easier than it otherwise might have been, as she had taken part in an internship with some of the organization's lower-level scientists in Bostrum during her final year at Bostrum Academy. Little had she known at the time that the organization was keeping a close eye on Nova and her studies, gauging her skill and intelligence. When she applied for a real position at the company, the Escala girl imagined that she would remain with the scientists she had already done her internship with, or possibly get boosted just a bit higher for her academics and her previous experience with them, however she was stunned to find upon arriving that she was in fact being interviewed for a newly open position as the direct assistant to the CEO. It seemed that, though there were many within the company vying for the position, they were looking for someone new that would not be too far set in their ways, and someone without too many attachments, as the job would be time consuming. It seemed that a young woman of above average intelligence and just coming out of Bostrum, whose only connections lived a world away fit that bill just right.
Nova has been working for Genesis as Ves Nuada's personal assistant for just over a year now, most of that time being spent catching her up to speed on major projects and pursuits.
