He had been roaming the forests at the foot of the mountains for a very long time. He did not stray far from their shadows, for they were guiding him through the world. At some point in his life, he realized that the placed he would go looked all too familiar to the places he had been. He had been wandering the lands for as long as he could remember. It would come as no surprise to him if he had, in fact, been everywhere, for he was not young anymore. He was content in his youth to travel around with his mother as she explored this new world with him. She was born into their clan and never left their territory until she fled the civil war that claimed the lives of everyone who stayed to fight. The world outside the clan was new to her. In contrast, Tynan could barely remember home.

After his mother died, he continued his aimless wandering throughout the world in search of a place to call his home and reestablish his clan in his father's image. He had seen many places that were suitable, but nowhere he could truly see himself settling. Then again, a territory was not all he needed. He also needed some other ulaya to be members of his clan; however he was given no direction on how to be that ulaya to which others gravitate. He flicked his tail in frustration. How was he to go about this? He had seen the world in its entirety, but he had never found a place that was exactly right. Perhaps he was too picky, or missing a piece though he could not quite place what he was missing. What was he missing?

Tynan's furrowed, and he sat at the base of a tree in a relatively large clearing, watching the grass as it moved in the breeze. He was a calm ulaya of sorts, one who always had a level head and never lost his temper. Now, however, he could not help but be frustrated. He felt as though he was only wasting time that he could spend building his clan to his former glory. He had an idea, but he had no idea how to realize it. He needed to think of something soon, make some kind of investment in something. Anything, really.
