There's such a fooled heart
In search of new dreams, a love that will last.

Tsuki withdrew her hands and watched the stranger out of the corner of her eye as she took the first few bites. The stranger was still nervous and shy, perhaps even a slight bit embarassed. Nevertheless, she sat down and seemed to struggle a bit with the chopsticks after she had moved a little bit of everything onto her plate. If she had a little of everything, then how the girl would react to them would tell her what she favored and disliked. Tsuki held her chopsticks up. She set one in each hand, then she moved both of them back into her dominant right hand, one held at the joint of her thumb and forefinger, braced by her second finger, and the second just above that, following the pointer finger. Tsuki demonstrated motion with these, pinching at the air, and then moved the chopsticks to her rice and egg.

However, she also picked up one of the spoons on the table with an apologetic shrug, and set it closer to the stranger. Spoons were easier to understand for those who didn't know chopsticks. It took practice and time to get used to them, as father explained once.

Zana brought her full attention to Tsuki as she was giving her a demonstration on how the chopsticks worked. Taking a moment to hold them properly, she would attempt to pinch them and grinned as she got it after a few tries. Excited to try out these strange new utensils, she picked up some of the eggs and ate them. She seemed to like it as she was definitely going back for another bite.

The stranger was a quick learner. Satisfied, Tsuki smiled and turned her attention to her own plate, continuing to eat her breakfast in silence. So far, things seemed to be going well. The girl seemed to be calm and even seemed happy and content. It was a step up from the unpredictable panic at the start.

When Tsuki did finish her plate, she didn't refill it or put more onto it. When she did eat, it was usually enough to last her until lunch. She had half a mind to pack something so that she wouldn't have to worry about the cafeteria food... but she reconsidered it on the basis that her guest would feel more comfortable eating something that seemed familiar. It was only when it was confirmed that both of them were done that Tsuki would begin moving the food into clear storage containers and place the food into the fridge for later.

Things most certainly were a great step up from the previous night. Zana was still struggling on an apology and a thank you for her hospitality. She just really wished she could ask where she was now. That stupid wizard could have at least given her the ability to communicate with these people.
Getting up as Tsuki was cleaning and putting everything away. She finally got an idea on how to express at least a thank you. A hug! Such a thing was surely universal at least with these similar humans to the ones she knew. Deciding it couldn't hurt to try. Tsuki would suddenly find herself being pulled into a hug by the strange blue lady that she looked ready to attack her just the night before. "I hope this is okay." She thought aloud

Tsuki's brain paused a moment to evaluate the situation. She now found the arms of a stranger were wrapped around her. Hug: a positive signal of encouragement or generally a show of positive feelings.

What her nerves understood this to mean was "she's squeezing me with her arms." However, it was noted that it was not a painful or overly tight embrace. Nor were the blades used. This was not an unpleasant situation. Perhaps this was used in lieu of having words? That would make sense. In the end, Tsuki couldn't blame or find a reason to translate this as a hostile gesture.

She moved one of her arms and returned the hug. Tsuki didn't hug that many people, mostly because she didn't radiate with powerpuff sunlight and glitter. She was most certainly not Sailor V. However, when there was the situation of not really having another effective way to communicate, physical gestures could be accepted as a temporary substitute, at least in the meantime. Tsuki didn't hold the hug very long. The return-hug only lasted a short moment, a kind of reassurance.

No hard feelings. Now that breakfast had been seen to... Hm... Tsuki glanced to the clock. She would be gone for a number of hours once she left. It was probably best to show the blue one around the house. She motioned for the blue girl to follow her.

(Sorry, thought I replied.>< )
Zana smiled as the hug was returned as it meant that all was well. Once Tsuki broke it off she had stepped back at to a respectable distance to her space and folded her hands neatly in front of herself. She still really, really wished she could actually talk to her. Mostly so she could figure out what to do.

With this interaction concluded, Tsuki went about showing the stranger to the home. The living room was shown, though the curtains had been drawn closed, so the light of the sun filtered through them before coming inside. (Well, let's face it, Tsuki wasn't quite sure how neighbors would react to seeing a blue-skinned stranger in her house... nevermind that she didn't look like she had brought a wardrobe with her.) Then Tsuki led her guest down the hall, where the library was found. There were many different books, some manuals, some textbooks, many different novels, and some of the books were in a language that Tsuki wasn't able to easily read. In this room was a television set, and the only one of note in the house. Tsuki demonstrated the use of this device by picking up a remote and pressing a button.

The box came to life and the screen showed a woman sitting behind a table. She began to explain the news, though Tsuki didn't worry overly much about the details or the words that gently flowed across the bottom of the screen.

She made it a point to gesture to two buttons on the remote. One caused the picture to change, and the other returned the picture again to the woman behind the desk. Once this had been shown, Tsuki touched a button on the television and the box went dark. The remote was set down by the machine. When they were ready, Tsuki planned also to show the stranger the bathroom.

So far the house seemed similar enough to the ones back in Hyrule, save for the far more advanced devices that were all around. Zana had gotten a little excited when they entered the library but to her dismay, she didn't understand any of the writing. At least not from the books she had looked at before they exited the room.
Now in the living room, she had nearly jumped when the TV flashed on. She stared a little fascinated at the screen but yet again the same damper from before made her frown. Not a single word made sense! With the screen turned back off she looked to Tsuko and offered a faint smile for her to continue.

The books were met with excitement, however that expression soon fell from Blue's face. Perhaps because she couldn't understand them, either. The television was met with surprise and confused shock, which suggested to Tsuki that this device was completely alien to her and probably didn't exist where she came from. With this discovery noted, Tsuki led them down the hall and back to the stairs. Following these up, in short order they were close to the bathroom. If the television was a shock, Tsuki had a feeling that indoor plumbing was probably going to be a wonder.

She flicked on the light with the switch by the door, and she tapped this twice to point out where it was exactly on the wall. Stepping up to the sink, Tsuki turned the handle on the right and the faucet began to churn out water. Tsuki waved her fingers underneath this current, then moved to encourage the stranger to do the same. The water was cold.

Then she turned off the right and twisted the left nob. After a short moment, this water would warm up. Hot.

The same principle worked for the tub...

She nodded as Tsuki pointed out the switch that made light in the bathroom. Finding it all quite fascinating. She certainly did look curious to the faucet and tested the waters from her encouragement. Glancing to the tub, she had walked over to turn that one on too. Tubs weren't entirely alien but the means of the water filling them was.
Zana was able to figure out how to plug it on her own and grinned to herself seeing the water pooling up. She was feeling a bit dry being out of water for so long. It probably hadn't crossed Tsuki's mind that Zana was an aquatic being until she moved into the pooling water without a second thought. actually looking a bit relieved to have a source of water.

And just like that Blue was in the water, appearing satisfied, relieved, and quite pleased to discover it. As the girl enjoyed the water, Tsuki came to the new understanding that her guest had no fear of water. On the contrary, she seemed to be much more comfortable in the water instead of when she had been out of it. It was good to know that Blue liked the bathroom.

Tsuki turned off the sink and glanced to her watch. It was time for her to get to school.... She pondered how to explain this, but noticing that Blue was cozy, it didn't seem to be the right time to pull her out of the water. Besides, that would have caused distress and only made a mess. Tsuki combed her fingers through her hair as she looked about. After a moment, she stepped out of the bathroom and went for a piece of paper. She glanced at the clock on the living room wall and considered about how long she would be gone... School, for her, would get out around 3, and it only took her about fifteen minutes to walk home. Fortunately, she wouldn't have to worry about extra-curricular activities today so she could return home with all speed.

She drew out a circle and two lines, marking the time that she expected to be home. ...Okay, this assumed that it would be seen.... Tsuki frowned and then underneath this picture drew a simple stick-figure of a person with long hair and a door. Then there was an arrow suggesting motion, that the person with long hair came through the door. On another piece of paper, she drew a giant arrow. The arrow was oriented to point at the wall where the clock hung. These pages were set down on the living room center table, where nothing had been resting earlier. Hopefully the white paper on the dark cedar wood would stand out.

Once this was done, Tsuki tapped at the table and stared at the images. What else could she do in the meantime.... She didn't want to skip out a day of school, because that would draw attention unnecessarily.... Though, would it make sense to spend a day at home to help assure that her guest was able to acclimatize and be okay with her being gone...? Or was that even a thing to be worried about? The stranger had a patient attention span, and was not carrying themselves like a child, but as an adult. There was intelligence there that could be reasoned with, and also that could express higher emotions, such as gratitude. These things helped convince Tsuki that Blue didn't need to be babysat. She could be trusted here for six hours.

"So if I just superimpose the image onto... Hmm... No, I tried that. But she said I had the right idea... Oh well." It was almost first period. Hideaki Katsuro, after leaving the school that night, had been pouring over the information he'd gathered while at the remedial building. Even with some council from an unknown expert, he felt he was no closer to decoding what it was he captured with his lens. The view was nice, though, perhaps nicer than him. His tie undone, he stopped and let it carry on for a half stride in the dry autumnal air as he heard footsteps behind him. "... Guess we'll just have to tough this one out." And then it was back to the grind for the prince of Montoya.

Thinking over everything even as she moved, Tsuki picked up her backpack and keys, and went through her normal security routine, which would also help keep the blue one safe until Tsuki's return.

She can break through this window if she wanted to, Tsuki thought to herself as she ensured that a window was locked. Though, the last thing to be seen to would be the front door. She adjusted the bag on her shoulders and took a final glance down the hall.... Would Blue panic..? Tsuki hoped not....

Second guessing herself, she stepped inside and moved a lot of papers from the computer room and out to the living room, to sit them on the table. With these papers she put a box of crayons and colored pencils. Another distraction, perhaps, that could help the time pass? It was only six hours.

Finally deciding that she would be late if she continued to linger, Tsuki forced herself from the living room and to the door.

It was a simple and careful series of movements that allowed her to lock the door behind herself. Certainly it wouldn't be very loud, either. Though, when it was taken care of, she set her pace toward the school. Sure enough, when she got there, she found it to be a flurry of activity and motion, excitement somehow set the most recent addition of the school paper in her hand -the crew works fast- and she saw a blurred image used as the picture for the front page story. The ghost had been seen!

They look familiar, Tsuki thought dismissively before folding up the newspaper and tucking it under her arm as she made her way to the first class of the day.

That would lead her to a happy place: a place near Katsuro-kun! The class was always bored without him, and today would be no exception; so even though Tsuki was supposed to be nearer to Katsuro, there was still the obstacle of getting him to join class. And if there wasn't a viable option, there was always the search.

And where was Hideaki hiding? On the roof of course! If it wasn't obvious to Tsuki, any kid in class would have told her to go up if she wanted to find him. Out there he wasn't simply the prince of Montoya, he was King! Watching over the city with a stranger's warmth in curiosity. He thought he wouldn't think about the sirens blasted across Willow street for a moment...

That wasn't too far from where Tsuki's place was. It was entirely possible the blue alien from last night was there to hear the cars whiz past her house.

Class began, though it wasn't long before everyone settled. The glamour and the light that seemed to suddenly be present because of Tsuki's recent fandom faded enough when others' contagious boredom stretched to them. However, the excitement of the classroom didn't amount to much to Tsuki when the true reason for living was not present, as she discovered in time enough.

Her puzzlement faded as she overheard the conversation among the other students. Another athlete who Tsuki trusted knew Katsuro well enough to tell his whereabouts. On the roof?

After judging the situation, she made a decision. She gathered together her things and then excused herself to the roof. The anxious energy in her step made the journey light, at first. Though, she forced herself to slow down so that she didn't look completely disheveled or overeager when the door opened. Her hand grazed the metal. Her hand clasped on the handle. Force enough was applied to open the door. Sunlight spilled into her vision.

He stood there, regally overlooking the city. He seemed at ease, with the wind catching his hair and tossing it playfully in its course. There was comforting warmth, there, in that particular space. An essence of the inviting summer that poets spun words about existed here. She only understood poetry when she was in sight of his grace.

She might have stood there forever, but gathered herself only enough to approach him. Her hands clasped behind herself. Her eyes shifted just to look over the city, to see what it was he studied from this vantage point. Somehow... the part of her mind that processed words was currently silent. Perhaps she would have been content standing by his side, in this silence, forever.
